Well they've done a lot of jawing and blah, blah, blah during the much needed 5 week break. Fingers crossed, but not holding out much hope for that parade of fools. I mean, they can't even decide on what day to come back......and it's NEXT week. A more inept group there never was.

The MP for the Fath Alliance Fadhil al-Fatlawi, Tuesday, that four files "important" will be the top priorities of the work of the House of Representatives during the next legislative term, adding that among those files completion of the Cabinet and the issuance of a resolution on foreign troops in the country.

Al-Fatlawi said in an interview with Alsumaria News that "there are several important files to make the House of Representatives within the priorities of its work in the first sessions of the next legislative term," noting that "there is a consensus and full agreement between the conquest and the rest and a clear vision on resolving the file of the remaining ministries as a basis of interest in Beginning of the next legislative term and at its second session. "

He added that the other file to be addressed by the House of Representatives in its first sessions is the issuance of a resolution to remove foreign forces, in addition to resolving the issue of the presidency of parliamentary committees in order to move the parliament in the next stage in the pursuit of its basic duties,

Al-Fatlawi pointed out that "the file of the provincial councils is one of the important files that will take place from the debate within the parliamentary sessions in order to resolve the option to freeze the work of the provincial councils or to extend its work until the elections in November."

The MP for the alliance of Al-Rubaie Al-Rubaie confirmed, Friday, February 22, 2019, that the dispute over the candidate of the Ministry of Interior ended and there are great signs to end the signs of the crisis through the submission of new names to the Prime Minister on the remaining portfolios, while he stressed that the cabinet update file will close the meeting Second of the next legislative term.

Is there a translation problem in this article? The first line says "four files 'important'..." but the rest of the article doesn't even mention the Oil and Gas Law that they said they would address. Or maybe it is the 5th important file and they will get to it "soon" and "in the coming days" right after they take care of these first most important 4 files, one of which is getting foreign troops out of their country. Well guess what, we ain't going nowhere till you pass the HCL, and reinstate your currency. So get off the pot, pass the HCL, reinstate your dinar, and we will be happy to bid you "so long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye!"

So just wondering.

Guess the HCL just keeps getting pushed to the back burner because so many other "files" come up that are so much more important than making sure the people they represent get a share of the Iraqi profits.

Problem - - Whadaya bet these fools by whatever means necessary stretch this out to Ramadan, come back and we get more recycled news about what they're gonna do only to see the shenanigans just carry on for god knows how long. . . still waiting.

Now, while all this is going on - let's not forget Tariffs & Taxes are in full swing ( too late to back now on this, yes ? ); bleeding the citizens White of what precious little financial reserves they have, plunging them all deeper & deeper into poverty. That's a recipe for mass demonstrations and possible anarchy.

Solution - - OR . . . they could simply do what they were voted into office to do in the first place, and complete what we ALL know they're supposed to, PRONTO>

Will Greed & Corruption Win the day or will the right things be done and Iraq moves into a better future than the stagnant cesspool we see before us ?

As for the HCL - Whats the hurry to move the forward when politicians can keep doing what they're doing ?

I'm sure not privy to integral details here; but what if the CBI RI/RVs NOW . . . thus putting ( public as well ) pressure on the GOI & hopefully backing them into a corner where they will have no other option but to act and act quickly to avoid a massive public backlash. Am I way off base here ?

It's a simple case of Leverage - - bring pressure to bear to force the issue to get the desired result. . . and no . . . My name is not Mr. Phelps & Im not a member of the IMF ( Impossible Mission Force - cue theme ). :tiphat:

Well, no surprise here. They figured out how to get another week of vacation. First the were meeting March 3rd, then March 4th, now March 9th. I know they are exhausted. It's a lot of work to be lazy. Besides, the camel limo was in the shop for service. Fools.

Lets not forget Ramadan, then all the breaks because they won't fix the AC and it's too hot in July and August (go figure, it's Iraq). Heading into fall they will burn October, November and December on the budget. These folks add a whole new dimension to 'inept'.
