The Association of Iraqi Private Banks in cooperation with the Iraqi Company for Economic and Administrative Consultancy, in the headquarters of the Association in Baghdad, has prepared the qualification program for the certificate of Islamic banking accredited CIB, with the participation of 17 trainees from private banks and financial transfer companies.

The Executive Director of the Association of Iraqi Private Banks Ali Tariq, in an interview with "Economy News", "The rehabilitation program is held in cooperation between the Association of Private Banks and Iraqna for Economic and Administrative Consulting Representative of the Foundation for training and approved by the General Council of Islamic banks and financial institutions CIBAFI represents the official umbrella To all Islamic financial institutions worldwide, noting that the program lasts for seven days.

Tarek added that the target group in the qualifying program is the employees of the Islamic financial and banking system from banks and Islamic finance and investment companies at various levels of professionalism. He pointed out that the participants will receive the certificate of Islamic banking accredited after passing the examination of the program.

The head of the Al Baraka Islamic Banking Group, Adnan Yousef, visited the headquarters of the Association of Iraqi Private Banks Wadih al-Hanal in his headquarters in Dubai to complement the discussions held by the group chairman during his visit to Baghdad earlier this year .

During the meeting, they discussed means of enhancing cooperation between the Association of Banks and Al Baraka Group in various fields and in light of the results achieved by the visit of the Chairman of the Group to Baghdad, which culminated in the meeting with the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq and his team and discussed prospects for cooperation between Iraq and Bahrain in particular .

The group chairman expressed his gratitude and thanks for the hospitality and honor he received during his visit to Baghdad and invited a group of Iraqi Islamic banks to visit Bahrain at the end of March .

He also invited the Association to participate in the Islamic banking conference to be held in Turkey next May, and discussed the preparations during the meeting and ways to coordinate the situation .

The Chairman of Al Baraka Adnan Yusuf Group visited Iraq early in January of this year at the invitation of the Association of Iraqi private banks, during which he held several important meetings with the monetary and banking leaders in Iraq and met with a number of Islamic banks in Iraq and briefed on the experience of Islamic banking in Iraq, A number of events held by the Association during the period of his visit .

"The certificate obtained by the trainees is specialized in the continuity of business in the banking sector in accordance with ISO 22301". This criterion is within the requirements of the World Bank and the Basel Committee, which issued a set of specialized instructions in this area on the need to be applied by banks worldwide for special standards for business continuity "He said.
"The central bank has sought to apply this standard for the first time in Iraq and its integration with an international standard issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO)" and applies this standard in most of the global central banks.
