Baghdad -  Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi announced on Monday that the concrete blocks around the Church of St. Corcis in the Salhiya area will be lifted, stressing that the concrete blocks surrounding all the churches in Baghdad will be lifted.  The Secretary of the Prime Minister, Lieutenant General Mohammed Hamid al-Bayati said in an interview with Alsumaria News, that today was "lifting the concrete blocks surrounding the Church of St. Corcis in the area of Salhia, and we will lift all the concrete blocks surrounding all churches in Baghdad."     "There are no obstacles for Christians to go to church, security measures are tight, and this is a testament to the level of freedom Iraqis enjoy regardless of their religion," al-Bayati said.

The Directorate of Public Traffic announced on Tuesday the opening of five branches and a street near the University of Mustansiriya, east of Baghdad.

"We have reached the final stages of the maintenance of tunnels and roads in preparation for the opening of the Green Zone for 24 hours," al-Bayati said in an interview with Masala. 

"There is no return to the prime minister's decision to open the Green Zone," al-Bayati said, adding that "the timing remains and the opening moment for 24 hours will be very close."

The Prime Minister's Office announced Sunday, the lifting of the concrete blocks from the Chinese Embassy, Swedish and Brazilian, in an effort to lift all blocks from the rest of the embassies in Baghdad.

Alsumaria News / Baghdad announced that the Office of the Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi on Saturday for direct lifting of concrete barriers from the Secretariat Street 's Council ofMinisters and the Rashid Hotel in front of the parliament building in central Baghdad.  The personal secretary 's office of Abdul - Mahdi , Lieutenant - General Mohammed Hamid , said that the"artistic effort began today to lift concrete barriers from the intersection of Khartoum Street General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, and in front of the Rashid Hotel and the Parliament building."  Hamid said in an interview with Alsumaria News that "the Rashid Hotel will be ready to receive citizens immediately after lifting all the barriers surrounding it."

Seems like being at the Parliament Building suggest this activity is near completion.

 

The last stubborn stronghold of ISIS East and North of the Euphrates River is steadily being defeated. It appears there are little to no civilians left in THIS last bastion of ISIS so the complete defeat could be announced in hours or days.

 

My gut (obviously I COULD be wrong HERE) tells me the announcement of the total defeat of ISIS East and North of the Euphrates River AND the announcement ALL the barriers are removed from the Green Zone (Green Zone COMPLETELY open) will promote a sense of Peace AND Stability for the area fueling (with HIGH octane) AND rocketing the drive for reconstruction, construction, AND economic development WITH foreign investment BASED ON an INTERNATIONAL Bicraqi Iraqi Dinar (ReInstated, of course)!!!
