They are saying both 1point200 and 1coma200. Could this be the difference in regards to the deletion of the zero's? IF it was 1,200.00 and the decimal point was moved three places to the left then it would become 1.200.

Central: the launch of electronic travel cards for Iraqis soon

The Iraqi Central Bank announced on Tuesday the launch of electronic travel cards for citizens, noting that electronic travel cards will help travelers in the payment of external expenses.


The bank said in a statement received by Alsumaria News, a copy of it, "It is part of our strategy to guide citizens gradually to use electronic payment tools instead of cash payment will be launched e-cards for citizens," noting that "e-tickets will help travelers in the payment process External expenses from purchases, hotels, treatment and study and also contribute to increasing the ability of banks to attract customers towards modern banking services.
 
"The cards will also provide additional benefits to its holders, including the purchase of the dollar at 1200 dinars and safety during travel and avoid theft and loss and payment of all currencies and all over the world,in addition to access to additional privileges offered by banks such as access to business halls and discounts.  The bank said that it will "coordinate with the Association of Iraqi banks and licensed payment companies and international card companies to establish a conference during the first week of July 2019 to launch an intensive media campaign in this regard."

The Central Bank of Iraq was established as an independent bank under its law of March 6, 2004, as an independent body responsible for maintaining price stability and implementing monetary policy. It supervises 10 commercial banks, 26 private banks, 16 Islamic banks and 19 foreign banks. 6 financial institutions and 31 financial transfer companies.

A member of the Kurdistan parliament of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, on Tuesday, that a government delegation from the Kurdistan region intends to visit Baghdad soon to discuss outstanding issues.

"The delegation of the Kurdistan Regional Government will visit nearby to Baghdad to discuss the files of the most important file Kirkuk and ways of joint administration, as well as the oil file and the budget for the current year and the mechanism of disbursement."

He added that "the Kurdistan Democratic Party agreed on a number of common points will be discussed with officials in Baghdad," noting that "the delegation will represent a number of ministers of the region after the formation of the government and Kurdish political figures."

On Monday, Nigervan Barzani was sworn in as president of the Kurdistan region at an official ceremony attended by hundreds of political and diplomatic figures from home and abroad.

Barzani pledged to work to strengthen the relationship between Erbil and Baghdad and strive to settle differences and maintain good-neighborly relations with neighboring countries on the basis of common interests.

The Presidency of the House of Representatives decided on Tuesday to adjourn the Council session until Thursday.


A parliamentary source told Alsumaria News that "the President of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halabousi decided, today, to lift the meeting of the Council until Thursday."  He added that "the session of the Council saw the second reading of the draft amendments to the provincial elections law, and the law of the martyrs of the crime of air base.
 
On Tuesday, the House of Representatives held its 22nd session under the chairmanship of Parliament Speaker Mohamed Halboussi and the attendance of 179 deputies.
