Symposium on the reactivation of the initiative of the Central Bank for Small and Medium Enterprises

The Central Bank of Iraq - Basra Branch, in the presence of the Director General of the Department of Financial Operations of the Bank, Dr. Mahmoud Dagher, held a dialogue seminar on reactivating the initiative of the Central Bank for Small and Medium Enterprises. The attendees discussed the implications of activating this initiative on the economic reality of Basra Governorate and the southern region in particular.

The Central Bank of Iraq has launched its initiative amounting to 6 trillion dinars for the sectoral and private banks for the implementation of small and medium enterprises.

The President of the Association of Iraqi private banks, Wadih al-Hanal, on Wednesday, that the time is appropriate to activate the initiative of the Central Bank of "trillion dinars" for the support of small and medium enterprises.

 

Al-Hantal said in his speech during the workshop "one-trillion-dollar initiative to support small and medium enterprises" held in the city of Erbil and attended by "economy News", the reason for non-activation of the initiative at the time of launch due to the existence of a window selling the currency, which banks were making profits from it, "When the interest rate was set at 4% to lend to the market there was another source of profit, the window of the currency, but the recent profits ended is left to banks only lending."

Isn't it the USD  fluctuating? And since the IQD is pegged to it it moved as well. There isn't anything exciting here yet.

 ......had friends years ago when we were investing at the same time in iqd , the pumpers were saying any day now then some common sense rational thinking person would say they heard not till 2019 our reply was always No Kinda Way and here we all sit ....
