ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – Iraqi Prime Minister-designate Adil Abdul-Mahdi has submitted his cabinet to the Iraqi Parliament for consideration before the expected voting session, a source said on Monday.

Abdul-Mahdi is expected to present the names of his cabinet ministers to parliament later this week for approval before the constitutional deadline expires.

According to the constitution, the Iraqi Parliament must vote on the government of Abdul-Mahdi before November 2.

“Abdul-Mahdi sent the biographies of the proposed cabinet ministers to the House of Representatives ahead of the vote,” a Kurdish political source told Kurdistan 24.

Iraqi officials say the Reform and Reconstruction Coalition, which is comprised of the two largest parliamentary blocs, dominate the list, holding most of the ministerial posts in the new government led by Abdul-Mahdi.

Recently, a list of the alleged distribution of posts in the new government circulated Iraqi social media but was promptly revealed as false by Abdul-Mahdi.

“There has been no report from the prime minister-designate’s office in this regard, and what is being circulated is absolutely false and baseless,” Abdul Mahdi’s press office said in a statement published on Sunday.

The Iraqi Parliament is expected to hold a session to vote on the presented names of Abdul-Mahdi’s cabinet before the end of this week. Some sources have speculated the formation would be incomplete as Iraqi lawmakers may not approve some of the candidates.

They haven't had a 'complete' cabinet for at least 5 years, so why would they be in a rush ?? People are starving, homeless...while these fools are content to sit on their hands and slow walk pretty much everything. Politicians and Iraq, a terrible mix.

A deputy reveals the reason why the secret ballot of Abdul-Mahdi's cabin was refused

[Asharq Al-Awsat] Independent MP Kazem al-Sayadi revealed on Wednesday why some political parties refused to vote secret on the cabinet cabin, which is expected to be submitted by Prime Minister-designate Adel Abdul-Mahdi to the House of Representatives this evening.

Al-Sayadi told Ashqaf News that "there are those who refuse to vote secret, for fear of not passing the names that nominated and passed through the electronic window, or to know those names," noting that "for a while we are watching the subject of forming a government, I love her and talk to her through slogans that are empty and untrue. They are not honest. In the media they speak falsely and falsely and in the rooms of consensus, they shared Iraq with their quotas and they made members of Parliament a part of dividing and selling ministries. "

He pointed out that "the owners of the quotas and the compatibility and division come today in a government cabin is a mixture of corruption and the Baathist infidel regime and want to pass it, as if the deputies are tools for the implementation of the wishes of those who have no value, even if they did not have something, and even some do not even have a scientific certificate or any privileges qualify them To negotiate on behalf of those who are better than them. "

"He did not see many of the deputies on the candidates' personal files and do not even know how to complete the mechanism of nomination and sorting the names of candidates of the names provided and what criteria agreed upon for selection and sorting.

"If they are actually representatives of the people, they will not participate in the masquerade of passing such a play, neither will nor choice."
