Personally, I would just name a bunch of random ordinary technicrats as my cabinet and let the jack asses go waste their money on something other then politics. Apparently he either resigns or pisses everyone off by not accepting their outright bribes and gets ran out of town. I'd take my chances with getting ran outta town before I'd take that blood money. You know that money is all dirty money pilfered off the blood sweat and tears of Iraqis...... Then I'd tell them all to go kiss my arse after naming my new cabinet of technicrats!!!  The man hasn't got a thing to lose, where as Iraq has everything to lose.

My Grandmother drank several shots of Scotch ( neat - no water or ice ) daily/did not smoke and lived to be 96.

My Dad on the other hand drank Vodka ( a bit more than several shots daily, sad to say ),  smoked Lucky Strikes and died at 65.

Grandma had it going on . . . :twothumbs:

"The government of Adel Abdul Mahdi, which ministers have many suspicions of corruption, and even terrorist charges, and to this moment Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi did not provide anything proves the innocence of his ministers of the charges against them."

A parliamentary movement to strip officials of privileges and sell their wheels by auction

The Legal Committee of the Federal Parliament has proposed stripping State officials of the privileges they have acquired over the past years in an effort to reduce expenditures.

"The chairman of the legal committee is preparing a bill that will be submitted to the committee, and then to the parliament, for the purpose of enacting it," said Supreme Council member Sheikh Ali.

He referred to the proposal, which includes "banning the allocation of cars and money perpetuated to state officials in the same way as deputies, and the restoration of the state's existing cars, to be sold by auction." He pointed out that "the law excludes ministries and security services."

The parliament's approach comes amid harsh criticism of the latter for not putting an end to financial and administrative corruption and wasting money.

The leader of the Sadrist movement, Moqtada al-Sadr, on Thursday criticized the members of parliament, calling on them to "stop voting for personal interests and privileges."

Sadr said in a statement, "We did not elect you for that, if you did not end, we rob you of our support and the people will cast your vote," stressing, "Oyha the deputies voted for the dignity of the poor."

A member of the Planning and Follow-up Committee of the government program, MP Raed Fahmi, revealed, on Thursday night - Friday, the monthly salary received by the MP during his job, while setting his personal position of the rent allowances, which recently sparked a stir in Iraqi public opinion.

Fahmi said through his account in Vysok: "I personally did not promote the request for a rent and did not vote for this procedure, but it has existed since previous sessions and was recently activated by the President of the House of Representatives. So I'm not personally interested or covered. "

He added: "As for the position of concessions, we have a clear position against the privileges and high salaries do not demand privileges and we do not vote for it and we take it for granted and do not allow ourselves to bid on it."

"We believe that the working and living conditions should be secured for a member of the House of Representatives in order to play its role to the fullest extent and not to be dragged behind the temptations. This includes, among other things, improving the infrastructure of the House of Representatives and assuming responsibility for providing housing and To grant a cash allowance. "

"This applies to the protection, where the members of the protection can be placed from the Ministry of the Interior or the defense and thus cancel the receipt of their salaries by the MP."

He pointed out that "some of the privileges that were enjoyed by deputies in the first sessions, as a pension grant of 80 percent of the salary has been abolished, the deputy was subjected to the General Retirement Law, and the disbursement of grants that were used to buy the car was stopped, Million dinars after it was 12 million dinars in the first and second and part of the third. "

Fahmy pointed out that "the serious fight for financial waste and the privileges of adultery and corruption requires that the process is comprehensive in the executive and legislative authorities and go to dismantle the mafia political and financial corruption pervading the various joints of the state and social and economic life."

After criticism from Sadr .. went in parliament to strip officials of privileges

The Parliament 's Legal Committee has proposed stripping State officials of the privileges they have acquired over the past years in an effort to reduce expenses.

The legal committee said in a press statement: "The bill deals with points, including the prohibition of the allocation of cars and funds granted to officials in the state like members of Parliament, and the state to retrieve the existing cars for sale at auction."

This comes a day after the leader of the Sadrist movement, Moqtada al - Sadr, asked members of parliament to stop seeking to expand their personal privileges.

Moqtada al - Sadr criticized members of parliament yesterday, calling on them to stop voting for personal interests and privileges, and instead seek "dignity of the poor."

A few days ago, Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halbousi decided to pay rent for the provincial deputies to live in the Green Zone or nearby areas in Baghdad, an estimated amount of three thousand dollars, which drew criticism and rejection in the popular and political circles for what was considered a kind of increase in the allocations of deputies.

The Parliamentary Legal Committee has proposed stripping state officials of the privileges they have obtained over the past years in an effort to reduce expenses .

A statement issued by the committee published on November 17, 2018 that "the bill deals with the prohibition of the allocation of cars and funds, as well as the return of existing cars for sale at auction."

The parliament's approach comes under harsh criticism for not putting an end to financial and administrative corruption and wasting money .

The presidency of parliament has announced the allocation of 3 million dinars per deputy rent, which sparked controversy within the Iraqi popular circles .

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohamed Halboussi, promised last Tuesday, what is being circulated about the amounts of "rent allowance" for members of the Council targeting the legislative authority, pointing out that the salary of the deputy from the provinces is not enough to pay rent a house .

The decision of the speaker of parliament was rejected in the popular circles for what was considered an increase in spending with the need for those funds in other exchange doors .

Activists on Twitter's website (Rent 3 million) were quick to comment on the decision .

"Halboussi, the speaker of the parliament allocates 3 million per deputy as rent, the parliament that thinks of the residence of its deputies before the residence of the citizen is not representative of his people."

Another said: "Children die because there is no roof to house them and deputies take 3 million to rent form contracts."

The third saw that: "Some work with a daily wage not exceeding 150 thousand dinars per month, and live either in excess or renters in excesses, and the state did not give them a house or rental allowance and Parliament from rest to rest, and give his deputies a rental allowance of 3 million per month because the salary is not enough member Parliament to rent a house, what justice is this? ".

While another citizen chanted: "Parliament, which thinks of housing deputies before the residence of the citizen is not representative of his people, the deputies of Iraq, and the section of the book of God .. and betrayal of the people .. demanding payment of a rent .. They received 150 million improvement of living Why not hire MPs to improve Their livelihood or their salaries? "

Continuing the wave of criticism, condemned Hadi Denninawi, the representative of the Sadrist movement Moqtada al-Sadr and Khatib Juma Mosque of Kufa in Najaf, strongly grant 3 million Iraqi dinars allowances for each member of parliament .

"The new parliament gives its members hundreds of millions to improve living, in addition to a salary of 12-15 million dinars per month (about 12 thousand dollars)," he said in a Friday prayer sermon. "With all this, they are given 3 million rents."

"Whoever gets 15 million will not be able to pay a monthly rent while the municipality employee will earn 200,000 how he can live," he said.

Addressing the heads of the government and parliament, Adel Abdul Mahdi, and Mohammed Halbusi said: "Explain to us this issue."

He continued: "On corruption in the case of sinking funds in the sea pockets of night divers," We urge by Sadr to demand the judiciary to follow up the issue of money sunk in the sea pockets of the night and rid them of the ropes and nets and deserve what they deserve. "
