The political blocs have finished their negotiations concerning the selection of the candidates for the interior, defense, education and justice ministries, Fatlawi said in a press statement, adding that the names were sent to Abd al-Mahdi to pick the most suitable candidate for each ministry. Abd al-Mahdi has been trying, since he took post in October, to finish the formation of his government. On October 24, Abd al-Mahdi managed to get the parliamentary approval on 14 out of 22 ministries. 10 YEARS LATER
URGENT ! This just in . . . The Vacant Ministries in the Cabin of Abdul Mahdi are, wait for it ! . . . still vacant with lots of contradictory verbal diarrhea still flowing around about when exactly it is they will vote on the remaining ministries. However, a statement released today 4/2/2019 suggests from a highly corrupt, secret unnamed source and all around lackey and someone of no importance, moral backbone, hindsight, foresight and altogether reprehensible behavior says the votes will be cast on the remaining vacant ministries on May 14, 2019. This in no way suggests for a minute any certainty exists that the deadlock, arguing, infighting, back stabbing, foot dragging and stalling tactics will cease; " after all, it is what we does best." states the unnamed source. This is to coincide with celebrations of the 1 year anniversary since the May 14 Elections, where it said the plan is to ensure the GOI will continue in the capacity of not being a fully functional and completed government. Since the stalemate from this point onward is to be expected, a 6 week Parliamentary adjournment will be called for and still nothing will be accomplished. Perhaps laying out this cynical/hopefully humorous whammy, the Twilight Zone will take over, cause this to never happen and we're all sipping our favorite adult beverage on a sandy beach somewhere before the month of April is over.
