Reuters) - President of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halboussi on Wednesday thanked the outgoing government headed by Haider al-Abadi. 
Al-Halbusi said in a speech during a session of granting confidence to the government of Abdul-Mahdi and followed by (Mawazin News): "Today we go to the people of our people and the Iraqi parliament and greetings and peace, and today we take the essential step in the process of peaceful circulation of power in the country by voting on the formation of the new government." 
"I call upon the deputies to abide by the rules of procedure of the Council and to send a message of civilization that reflects the progress of the people's representatives and the people of the people and the international community," he said.
He called Hilbousi Prime Minister in charge of forming the government, "the need to abide by the provisions of the Constitution and the rules of procedure in the submission of candidates to fill ministerial positions." 
Al-Halabousi thanked the three presidencies and the government of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi for their contribution to the Iraqi people during the last period.
