Turkish sources confirmed the arrival of a Saudi delegation to Turkey as part of a joint investigation into the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi .

"The Saudi delegation is headed by Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, advisor to Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, and the delegation is expected to hold preliminary talks in Ankara with officials of the Turkish Foreign Ministry and others concerned with the issue," the sources said on October 12, 2018 .

"The Saudi delegation will then travel with Turkish officials to the city of Istanbul to participate in the Turkish investigation, which is centered around the Saudi consulate, where Khashoggi disappeared after entering the afternoon of October 2."

Ibrahim Kalin, spokesman for the Turkish presidency, announced on Thursday that Ankara accepted a Saudi proposal to form a joint working group to investigate the Khashoggi case, which has disappeared since last week.

On Friday, the Saudi Foreign Ministry welcomed Turkey's proposal to set up a joint working group to investigate the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Trump vows 'severe punishment' if journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed by Saudis

By Laura Smith-Spark, CNN

Updated 3:33 AM ET, Sun October 14, 2018

(CNN)President Donald Trump vowed in a "60 Minutes" interview that the United States would get to the bottom of what happened to a missing Saudi journalist and that there would be "severe punishment" if he were found to have been killed.

In an excerpt from the interview, released by CBS on Saturday morning, Trump said the case of Jamal Khashoggi was "being looked at very, very strongly" and that his administration "would be very upset and angry" if it turned out that the Saudi government had ordered his killing.
"As of this moment, they deny it, and they deny it vehemently. Could it be them? Yes," he said in what are his strongest comments yet on the matter.
Khashoggi, a columnist for The Washington Post, went into the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul on October 2 to obtain paperwork that would allow him to marry his Turkish fiancée. He hasn't been seen in public since.
On Friday, a source familiar with the ongoing investigation told CNN that Turkish authorities have audio and visual evidence that showed Khashoggi was killed this week inside the Saudi Consulate.
The evidence, which was described to the source by a Western intelligence agency, showed there was an assault and a struggle inside the consulate. There is also evidence of the moment that Khashoggi was killed, the source said.
The foreign intelligence service found the nature of the evidence, which was provided in a briefing from Turkish officials, to be "shocking and disgusting," the source told CNN.
Speaking to reporters Saturday in the Oval Office, Trump was asked if he had seen or heard the evidence and said "we are going to be seeing it very soon."
Trump also said the "timing is strict coincidence" between the release of Pastor Andrew Brunsonfrom Turkish custody and the situation of Khashoggi at the Turkish consulate.
Saudi Arabia firmly denies any involvement in Khashoggi's disappearance and says he left the consulate that afternoon. But his fiancée, Hatice Cengiz, who was waiting outside the consulate, says she did not see him re-emerge. Turkey has called on Saudi officials to provide evidence he left the consulate.
Trump's comments came as a growing number of global businesses withdrew from an upcoming summit in Saudi Arabia amid concerns over Khashoggi's disappearance.

Trump: 'There's a lot at stake'

The Khashoggi case puts the United States in a difficult position because of its close ties with Saudi Arabia, seen as an important strategic ally in the Middle East. Trump and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, have also developed personal and business relationships with the Saudis.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, known colloquially as MBS, spoke by phone Tuesday with Kushner and national security adviser John Bolton. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also spoke with the 33-year-old crown prince.
Asked by CBS journalist Lesley Stahl if bin Salman had denied Saudi involvement in Khashoggi's disappearance, Trump replied: "They deny it. They deny it every way you can imagine. In the not too distant future I think we'll know an answer."
Trump has faced mounting bipartisan pressure this week from members of Congress who are calling for him to impose stiff consequences on Saudi Arabia.
On the question of possible sanctions, Trump restated his reluctance to jeopardize a $110 billion arms deal he brokered with Saudi Arabia that was inked on his first foreign trip as President, saying he didn't want to hurt jobs. But he added, "There are other ways of punishing, to use a word that's a pretty harsh word, but it's true."
He said: "There's a lot at stake. And, maybe especially so because this man was a reporter. There's something -- you'll be surprised to hear me say that, there's something really terrible and disgusting about that if that was the case so we're going to have to see. We're going to get to the bottom of it and there will be severe punishment."
The "60 Minutes" interview is expected to air Sunday.
The US President said Friday he had not yet spoken with King Salman of Saudi Arabia -- the father of bin Salman -- in the wake of Khashoggi's reported killing, but that he planned to "pretty soon."
Turkish authorities believe 15 Saudi men who arrived in Istanbul on October 2 were connected to Khashoggi's disappearance and possible killing. At least some of them appear to have high-level connections in the Saudi government.
On Thursday, a US official familiar with the intelligence told CNN that the United States had intercepts of Saudi officials discussing a plan to lure Khashoggi back to Saudi Arabia and detain him.
Washington's "working assumption" is that Khashoggi was killed inside the consulate in Istanbul, according to another US official familiar with the latest intelligence. "We are pretty clear-eyed it is likely to have happened and it didn't end well," the official said. The source cautioned that was the latest assessment and no conclusions had been made.

Saudi government denies ordering killing

The Saudi interior minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, said reports that the Saudi government ordered the killing are "lies and baseless allegations against the government of the Kingdom," according to a statement the state-run Saudi Press Agency published Saturday.
Abdulaziz also said "some media" have circulated "false accusations" regarding Khashoggi's disappearance.
A delegation from Saudi Arabia has arrived in Turkey for the investigation, Turkey's state-run Anadolu Agency reported Friday.
A Saudi official said that he welcomed an announcement by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to form a joint team of experts from both countries to investigate the disappearance," according to a Saudi Information Ministry statement.
But Saudi Arabia is not cooperating with Turkey's probe, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Saturday. "We haven't seen any collaboration yet. We want to see that."
He said Saudi authorities still need to permit Turkish police and forensic teams to enter the consulate where Khashoggi is believed to have been killed. "Where did he disappear? There, in the consulate. Therefore, for the sake of this investigation, in order to bring everything into open they must allow access to consulate."

Fiancée demands answers

Cengiz, Khashoggi's fiancée, tweeted Saturday in English and Arabic demanding information from Saudi Arabia.
"I request #SaudiArabia to officially respond to the status of my fiancée #Jkhashogji who entered the #SaudiConsulate in #Istanbul. 10 days ago and his whereabouts are still unknown to date. @JKhashoggi #whereisjamalkhashogji," the tweet in English reads.
She also tweeted that before his disappearance, she'd intended to throw a surprise party for him at a restaurant for his 60th birthday, which is Saturday.
Turkish newspaper Sabah reported Saturday that Khashoggi may have recorded his own death through his Apple Watch, and that security forces leading the investigation found the audio file inside the phone Khashoggi left with his fiancée.
CNN could not independently verify the Sabah report and was seeking comment from both Saudi and Turkish officials.
CNN intelligence and security analyst Robert Baer cast doubt on the claim, saying it was too far for a Bluetooth connection and that Khashoggi was unlikely to have anticipated transmitting a recording in advance. "I think what's happened, clearly, is the Turks have the Saudi consulate wired; they have transmitters," he said.

Businesses abandon desert summit

Saudi Arabia is facing growing isolation as firms pull out of a high-profile investment summit due to take place later this month in Riyadh.
Most of the news outlets that had agreed to sponsor the Saudi Future Investment Initiative -- known as "Davos in the desert" -- have now withdrawn.
They include Japanese media company Nikkei, CNBC, The New York Times and the Financial Times. Bloomberg said Friday it was pulling out as a media partner but added it still planned to cover news from the conference
CNN, which was a media partner for the event, confirmed Friday that it too would no longer participate in the conference. Viacom CEO Bob Bakish, Uber chief Dara Khosrowshahi and The Economist's editor-in-chief, Zanny Minton Beddoes, have also pulled out.
However, International Monetary Fund chief Christine Lagarde told reporters Saturday at the IMF's annual meeting in Indonesia she still planned to go but would be paying close attention to new information.
US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin also reaffirmed his commitment to attend the Riyadh conference, while expressing concerns about Khashoggi's status. "The conference is on for now, I am going," he told reporters in Bali.

CNN's Nic Robertson, Tim Lister, Hadas Gold, Samuel Burke, Gul Tuysuz, Roba Alhenawi, Moataz AlHady and Mahatir Pasha contributed to this report.

A Saudi source said on Sunday that his country's response in the event of any action against the kingdom would be great, against the backdrop of the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul earlier this month .

"Saudi Arabia, and its pioneering position in the Arab and Islamic worlds, has played a prominent role in achieving security, stability and prosperity of the region and the world, leading the efforts in combating extremism and terrorism," the Saudi daily Al-Sabd quoted the source as saying in a press statement today, October 14, 2018. Promote economic cooperation and consolidate peace and stability in the region and the world. "

"The Kingdom affirms its total rejection of any threats and attempts to undermine them, either by waving economic sanctions, using political pressure, or repeating false accusations," he said.

He pointed out that "if Saudi Arabia received any action will respond to a greater measure," noting that the Kingdom's economy is an influential and vital role in the global economy, and that the Kingdom's economy is affected only by the impact of the global economy .

Earlier, MPs from both parties called for firm action against Riyadh if accusations of being behind the disappearance and killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, whose fate remains unknown since he entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2, were confirmed. Washington must stop sales of weapons to Riyadh, as these charges are proven. "

Saudi Arabia will respond to any possible economic sanctions imposed by any country on the issue of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, the official Saudi Press Agency quoted an official source as saying .

"The Kingdom affirms that if it receives any action, it will respond with greater action, that the Kingdom's economy has an influential and vital role in the global economy and that the Kingdom's economy is affected only by the impact of the global economy," the source said on October 14, 2018.

"The Kingdom affirms its total rejection of any threats and attempts to undermine them, either by waving economic sanctions or using political pressure or by repeating false accusations," the source was quoted as saying.

Saudi Arabia has been under pressure since the Saudi journalist disappeared after entering his consulate in Istanbul on October 2 .

US President Donald Trump is expected to contact Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz as questions mount over the disappearance of Khashoggi, a prominent critic of the Saudi government who was based in the United States .

Trump said in an interview with CBS that there would be "severe punishment" for Saudi Arabia if Khashoggi was found dead at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul .

'Disappearance' Of Saudi Journalist Could Rock Oil Markets

Profile picture for user Tyler Durden

world_is_not_enough.jpg

Authored by Cyril Widdershoven via Oilprice.com,

In the “World is Not Enough”, British spy James Bond takes on international oil cartels and illegal operators. The fiction of the story is clear to all, but the underlying subject is still very valid, as the ongoing media riot about Washington Post journalist Khashoggi, a Saudi national, is putting pressure on the House of Saud.

world_is_not_enough.jpg

The disappearance of the former Saudi journalist, presumably in the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul, last week, is causing a diplomatic and strategic conflict between the West and Saudi Arabia of unprecedented levels. British spy-novel writers John LeCarre and Ian Fleming would have been flabbergasted these days, when looking at the growing crisis surrounding Saudi Arabia’s international standing and the position of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The possible role of the Royals in the abduction of Khashoggi, supported by the Saudi Royal Court and secret services, will not blow over without leaving immense scars. The current crisis will not just have possible repercussions for the Kingdom, as its international standing is being threatened, it was also influence the power game currently ongoing in the Royal Palace.

Without even knowing the real facts behind the disappearance of Khashoggi, one thing is clear; the rosy halo surrounding the Young Prince in Riyadh has been removed by force.

85fe5b6fd87fb37c5743d7dfc65f3d90.jpg

As long as there are no real hard facts being presented by either the Saudi government, who are claiming not be involved, and the Turkish government, claiming that they have hard facts showing the abduction and killing of Khashoggi, the crisis will continue, opening even more ugly wounds in the coming days. The Khashoggi issue could even lead to a much more dangerous situation than currently is being discussed in the media or by Western politicians or anti-Saudi forces in Qatar, Turkey and Iran.

The anti-MBS forces are having a field day, as they are able, without a military intervention or assassination, to undermine the position of the Crown Prince significantly.

Already, American Senators, European politicians and Turkish officials, are calling for very harsh measures against the Saudi Kingdom if proof appears of the direct involvement of the Saudi government or members of the Royal Family, including MBS, in the abduction and killing of the journalist.

Blocking potential investments deals or military sales could be already part of the discussions in Washington, London or Brussels. The heat is also on via the international financial sector, which is expected to be heading to Riyadh for the Future Investment Initiative 2018 in 1.5 weeks. A growing list of investors and speakers, such as Virgin Group’s CEO Richard Branson, Uber CEO Khosrowshahi, Los Angeles Times owner Patrick Soon-Shiong, AOL co-founder Steve Case and The Huffington Post co-founder Arianna Huffington, threatening not to attend is a major blow to Riyadh’s dream. More Western CEOs are expected to join this list, putting pressure on Riyadh to act swiftly. Riyadh and MBS will need to quickly address these issues, including opening up its books on Khashoggi. For the long-term, Riyadh’s future will depend on an influx of cash and companies, willing to take part in its future.

Another spy character, Jack Ryan (Tom Clancy’s Hero), would be a good advisor to MBS at present. The Crown Prince will now need to play on several chess boards at the same time, dealing with Grandmasters in Moscow, Beijing and Delhi to counter Western opposition and to support his own position in the Kingdom, OPEC and regionally. On all sides, the dangers are clear. Most probably MBS is a vivid reader of Clancy too, now trying to mitigate the damage by arranging a turn-to-the-east, which has been extremely quiet in the Khashoggi case.

Still, outside support or contracts will not save the Crown Prince yet. Showing weakness, while his dream, Saudi Vision 2030 and FII2018, is showing cracks could be fatal. He will need to show strength and political hardness. Realism is back in town, soft doctors make stinking wounds.

The threat to MBS’s position, and possibly the King, also will derail ongoing discussions the coming weeks between OPEC and non-OPEC how to deal with the U.S. Sanctions on Iran, the continuing tweets of Trump to produce more oil, and regional instability. If MBS is openly weakened, or being confronted by low success at FII2018, the entire future of the Oil Kingdom is at stake. Internal instability, currently kept under the carpet, will erupt for sure in the open. For the global oil market, this situation is a direct threat to current market stability too. With OPEC’s leading producer, and proponent of the current oil production deal with Russia, weakened or even threatened by regime implosion, the sharks will be hunting very soon. Several OPEC members will not be totally unhappy with the volte face of MBS, as some indicated.

An unstable Saudi Arabia gives room to maneuver for Iran, Qatar and Venezuela. These three will be looking for any weak point in the Saudi power constellation, as this will weaken the Moscow-Riyadh link too. Khashoggi’s disappearance in Istanbul also brings in Turkey as a player. Erdogan and MBS are not on speaking terms since years, while Iran and Qatar have Ankara in the pocket.

Saudi Arabia is threatening America by cutting off oil, a Russian base, and embracing Iran

Saudi Arabia is threatening America by cutting off oil, a Russian base, and embracing Iran

 Twilight News
 one hour ago

The Saudi writer Turki al-Dakhil, who is close to the authorities in Riyadh, spoke about 30 measures Saudi Arabia is considering taking if it is signed by US sanctions, without mentioning the background of these possible sanctions that come in the context of the disappearance of journalist journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
Al-Dakhil, who is also the director of Al-Arabiya TV and a close associate of the crown prince, published an article explaining "what is going on in the corridors of Saudi decision-making," minutes after a statement by the official news agency SPA said that the kingdom would respond to any action Against it by a larger measure.
"I read the Saudi government's statement in response to the American thesis on sanctions against Saudi Arabia," said the article, published on Al-Arabiya website on Sunday.

Cut off the supply of oil
and the author said , "We will be in front of an economic disaster to hit the world, Variyad the capital of its fuel , " pointing out that Saudi Arabia has not committed to producing 7.5 million barrels of oil a day, and "if the price of $ 80 (a barrel) has angered the president (Donald) Trump, No one can rule out that the price jumps to $ 100 and $ 200, perhaps double that figure. "

Iran Alaratme the arms of the
intruder saw that the imposition of US sanctions "will throw the Middle East , but the Muslim world in the arms of Iran , which will be closer to Riyadh from Washington."
"Close cooperation in information between Riyadh, America and the West will become part of the past," he said.
The writer said that Western sanctions may push Saudi Arabia to "other options, President Trump himself said a few days ago, that Russia and China are alternatives ready to meet Riyadh's military and other needs."

It is not ruled out in this case the establishment of a Russian military base in Tabuk, northwest of the kingdom," in the hot zone of the square of Syria, Israel, Lebanon and Iraq "and the transformation of the Palestinian Hamas movement and the Lebanese Hezbollah" from two enemies to two friends. "

Arms deals and investments
The writer also pointed out that Saudi Arabia has stopped buying arms from the United States, liquidating its assets and investments with the US government of $ 800 billion - he said - and depriving the United States of the Saudi market.
"The fact that Washington is imposing sanctions on Riyadh will stifle its economy in a killing and it thinks it is only challenging Riyadh," he said.
The article did not include any mention of Khashoggi's disappearance, which preoccupied world public opinion and prompted the US president to threaten Riyadh with "severe punishment" if it proves to be involved in the case.
The statement issued by the SPA earlier this week attributed to the "official source" said that the Kingdom "confirms its total rejection of any threats and attempts to undermine them either by waving economic sanctions or the use of political pressure or repeating false accusations."
"The Kingdom affirms that if it receives any action, it will respond with greater action and that the Kingdom's economy has an influential and vital role in the global economy."
The Saudi source said that his country is subjected to a "campaign of false allegations and allegations" and that it "appreciates the voices of the wise people around the world who have overcome wisdom, deliberation and the search for truth instead of rushing and seeking to exploit rumors and accusations to achieve goals and agendas unrelated to the search for truth."
Although the statement referred to accusations against Saudi Arabia, that official did not explicitly state the case of Khashoggi's disappearance and international claims of his fate.
The Saudi officials, headed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, confirmed that Khashoggi left the consulate in Istanbul minutes after entering on October 2, and said that the consular cameras do not keep recorded footage, so his departure can not be confirmed.
But Turkish and international media quoted Turkish security sources as saying that Khashoggi was killed inside the consulate by a Saudi team who then cut off his body.

The Arab League declares its position on the threat of sanctions against Saudi Arabia
(International: Al Furat News) The Arab League announced its refusal to threaten or threaten Saudi Arabia against the backdrop of the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
"It is totally unacceptable, in the framework of inter-State relations, to signal the use of economic sanctions as a policy or instrument to achieve political or unilateral objectives," said a statement issued by the Arab League's General Secretariat on Sunday (October 14th).
This came in response to the questions of diplomatic editors at the League of Arab States on the statement of an official source in Saudi Arabia, issued earlier on Sunday, on the Kingdom's rejection of any threats or the threat of economic sanctions or the use of political pressure against it, following the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi On October 2.
"Regarding the issue of the disappearance of Jamal Khashoggi, the Saudi authorities have clearly stated their cooperation in the context of ongoing investigations in this regard, which requires not to be forced to reap the kingdom by threatening or exerting pressure on it," the statement said.
"The University looks forward to seeing in the near future the truth in this regard, which would close the door to any escalation that could affect the security and stability of the region, both at the political and economic levels, and taking into account the important role of Saudi Arabia In maintaining regional and international security and stability. "
This comes after the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was last seen on Oct. 2 entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul to obtain documents to complete his marriage. His fiancée, who was waiting abroad, said he did not leave the consulate.
Turkish and Saudi authorities have given conflicting accounts about Khashoggi's where Ankara says he did not leave the Saudi consulate building he entered, while Riyadh insists he left shortly after his family status was terminated.

ok,what am I missing here. The journalist isn't American. What is the concern for us? Why are we sticking our nose into this?

Honestly, I think the Liberal Media is trying to distance Trump from  Crown Prince Salman demanding accountability.  Trump has a relationship with Salman,  He is suppose to call him tomorrow .  We will have to see how that conversation turns out.  Plus, just think about the powerful people Salman took down last year in the Ritz Carolton.  He has made a few enemies in his own country.  Now they/media are comparing Khashoggi"s death to 911.  To me this is a media hit job.

  • The shocking coincidence: Tuesday disappearance of Khashoggi and Tuesday September 11 Black

Baghdad / Al-Masala: In the file of the Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, the files of politics, security and foreign relations overlap and coincide coincidences and predestinations to recall another incident that dug itself in the memory of American and global pain.

Khashoggi became the most famous Saudi journalist and one of the most famous journalists in the world, and his life and his mysterious disappearance, if not his death, much Medad, his pen or the pens of the world today.

Numbers and days

It was ironic that the enforced disappearance of journalist Jamal Khashoggi on Tuesday was reminiscent of the September 11, 2001 black September, when 19 al-Qaeda members, including 15 Saudis, moved to hit critical US positions in New York and Washington.

The Turkish version of Khashoggi's case reports that a team of 15 Saudis also arrived in Istanbul independently of two private planes, the one who tortured and killed Khashoggi at the Saudi consulate.

Despite the time difference between the two incidents, which is at least 17 years, and the spatial difference between the sites of the two incidents, there are other major differences, including that Saudi Arabia as a state in both cases rejected responsibility for what happened, and denied any link to the reality, but indicators of relevance and relationship varied between the two cases.

While the accusation of responsibility for the events of September 11 was confined to Western and American media and political circles in particular, which did not have much friendliness, and sought to involve them in a security and intellectual manner with some of the perpetrators of the attacks, it differed at the level of the consulate incident in Istanbul.

Although it is not possible to determine definitively the responsibility for concealing and possibly killing Khashoggi before the results of the ongoing investigations, the leaks transmitted by the Turkish authorities and the available data and evidence indicate that the man did not leave the consulate of Saudi Arabia since he entered on the second day of this month.

While the two incidents of significant differences and differences in the implementation of the implementation and targeting and temporal and spatial contexts and the repercussions and results has been noticeable overlap some points of convergence between the two incidents, including:

- The two incidents agreed on Tuesday and the number of implementation elements. 15 The story of the two planes, or the three in the case of the September attacks, also provoked a great deal of tension in both cases, but the main point of convergence was the bad impact of the two incidents on the external image of Saudi Arabia.

The picture is distorted

The attacks of September 11 did not end until the voices of mobilization and mobilization against Saudi Arabia began, and the various media engaged in these provocative campaigns against them. These media campaigns led to dozens of cases being filed against them in American courts.

In a dramatic move, the US Congress on September 28, 2016 overwhelmingly approved the Justa Act, which allows families of victims of the September 11 attacks and others to sue state sponsors of terrorism before US courts. Many observers say it targets Saudi Arabia specifically.

The image of Saudi Arabia is recovering after years of attempts by US and Western circles to link it to terrorism and to hold it responsible for the September attacks on the grounds that there were links between some of the perpetrators of the September attacks and individuals associated with the Saudi government until the case of the disappearance or killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi to name the table again, .

In the face of punishment

Just as Saudi Arabia paid a nation and society a big price in the years following the September 11 attacks, it is about to start paying again a huge bill that no one knows until now, its size and quantity under Western calls for maximum punishment if Khashoggi is to blame.

Saudi-US relations have developed in the last two years after Saudi Arabia managed to link a close relationship with US President Donald Trump, his brother-in-law and adviser Jared Kouchner, according to observers. But the gains are now in the eye of the storm after Khashoggi's crisis.

Trump has stepped up his rhetoric in recent days and has been harshly sanctioned against Riyadh if it proves to be behind Khashoggi's disappearance, asserting that this would greatly anger Washington, a statement no one expected from Trump to Saudi Arabia at least two weeks ago.

In exchange for Trump's real or artificial anger, a number of members of the US Congress have stepped up pressure on his administration to take severe action against Riyadh to reveal Khashoggi's fate.

Perhaps this picture of Khashoggi entering his consulate in Istanbul is the last picture the world knows of (the Turkish press)

Whether the anger of US lawmakers needed fresh oil to ignite its fiery fire, the US media stepped up coverage and launched a media campaign to pressure US officials to take decisive action against the Saudi authorities.

Millions

The British writer David Harst says that the winds of Khashoggi's case will haunt millions of dollars spent by Ben Salman to improve his image in the West and make him acceptable as a key ally of the United States and forces opposed to political Islam.

The newspaper said the Washington Post repeatedly asked why Saudi Arabia to get rid of the writer of a weapon only his pen and courage, and confirmed that if the man was killed inside the Saudi consulate, his killing will shed new light and disturbing the Saudi regime and his de facto ruler Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Comprehensive assessment of US-Saudi relations.

The Washington Post has no reason to get rid of it, except that it may pose a danger to the Saudi regime. Fakhashoggi is not by the name of the unknown in the power circles in Riyadh. In this case, the man has many secrets and details of the Saudi state and its relations and the circles of its different and perhaps conflicting forces. Makes him a prime target for Salman's regime and his son, who is not used to tolerating his critics.

The blood of Khashoggi and the isolation of Ben Salman

Many Western media analyzes confirm that Khashoggi's disappeared or quick demise at his consulate in Istanbul will add a painful picture of what his close associates call the new reformist Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The New York Times columnist Nicholas Christophe called on the Al-Saud family to remove Crown Prince Salman bin Salman and appoint another crown prince. He called on NATO countries to withdraw their ambassadors from Saudi Arabia and Western companies to boycott the Davos Desert Investment Conference on the second of the month. Next.

Christoph also called for an international investigation into the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi under UN supervision, saying the right place for the Saudi crown prince was to jail in solitary confinement.

He noted that the nauseating aspect of the reports on the disappearance of Khashoggi is increasing steadily, and it seems that bin Salman is the one who oversaw the assassination and dismemberment.

It is not only Bin Salman's image that is affected by Khashoggi's blood. The hopes of the economic recovery promised by Mohammed bin Salman in the face of other winds, with the Saudi stock market losing its gains in a year, and the announcement by media and economic figures of its withdrawal with the Conference on the Future of Investment in Saudi Arabia, Dollars - spent by Saudi Arabia - in the trash, and setting the future of investment on the brink of shelving outstanding questions on the issue of Khashoggi.

With the disappearance or killing of Khashoggi, Saudi time is entering a new turning point. The winds of the "disappeared" journalist come on the banks of the Bosphorus, unlike the ships of Bin Salman, who have been cruising for two years in waves approaching the now angry West.

To me, this has the DEEP STATE written all over it. There are already loose connections being drawn between Nauti Arabia 911 in The United States Of America and the murder of Jamal Khashoggi. Looks like the DEEP STATE is attempting to raise a FALSE FLAG prior to the 2018 The United States mid term elections. Kinda sounds like the attempt to start another World War like World War 1.

The first world war began in August 1914. It was directly triggered by the assassination of the Austrian archduke, Franz Ferdinand and his wife, on 28th June 1914 by Bosnian revolutionary, Gavrilo Princip.

This event was, however, simply the trigger that set off declarations of war. The actual causes of the war are more complicated and are still debated by historians today.

My opinion only, there is "public posturing" by the Turkish, Bin Salman, and the True United States Of America Patriot President Donald J Trump. What I believe will happen is Bin Salman will be granted all kinds of help privately by the True United States Of America Patriot President Donald J Trump to identify and bring into custody all the Nauti Saudis that committed such a heinous crime. I suspect this will lead back to the DEEP STATE and be a cause for further rooting out of the DEEP STATE. Both Bin Salman and the True United States Of America Patriot President Donald J Trump as well as Turkey could very well look like heroes rooting out this international crime ring. More media frenzy on the way as major DEEP STATE characters are exposed and deposed all over the place.

But, hey, what do I know? I might be a nut job or somethin'!!! :o

Noper synopsis i agree with everything you just said. There is no way that if the saudi's wanted this guy dead  they would  have been so obvious about it. Car bombings are much simpler these days. This i believed from the start has iran's and obama hold overs hands all over it. Lets not forget that the 911 terrorists were from saudi but they were not of the king's makings and they were also able to hide out in iran before carrying out their plan in the u.s.  ;)

Did Saudis, CIA Fear Khashoggi 9/11 Bombshell?

Authored by Finian Cunningham via The Strategic Culture Foundation,

The macabre case of missing journalist Jamal Khashoggi raises the question: did Saudi rulers fear him revealing highly damaging information on their secret dealings? In particular, possible involvement in the 9/11 terror attacks on New York in 2001.

or-41555.jpg

Even more intriguing are US media reports now emerging that American intelligence had snooped on and were aware of Saudi officials making plans to capture Khashoggi prior to his apparent disappearance at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul last week. If the Americans knew the journalist’s life was in danger, why didn’t they tip him off to avoid his doom?

Jamal Khashoggi (59) had gone rogue, from the Saudi elite’s point of view. Formerly a senior editor in Saudi state media and an advisor to the royal court, he was imminently connected and versed in House of Saud affairs. As one commentator cryptically put it: “He knew where all the bodies were buried.”

For the past year, Khashoggi went into self-imposed exile, taking up residence in the US, where he began writing opinion columns for the Washington Post.

Khashoggi’s articles appeared to be taking on increasingly critical tone against the heir to the Saudi throne, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The 33-year-old Crown Prince, or MbS as he’s known, is de facto ruler of the oil-rich kingdom, in place of his aging father, King Salman.

While Western media and several leaders, such as Presidents Trump and Macron, have been indulging MbS as “a reformer”, Khashoggi was spoiling this Saudi public relations effort by criticizing the war in Yemen, the blockade on Qatar and the crackdown on Saudi critics back home.

However, what may have caused the Saudi royals more concern was what Khashoggi knew about darker, dirtier matters. And not just the Saudis, but American deep state actors as as well.

He was formerly a media aide to Prince Turki al Faisal, who is an eminence gris figure in Saudi intelligence, with its systematic relations to American and British counterparts. Prince Turki’s father, Faisal, was formerly the king of Saudi Arabia until his assassination in 1975 by a family rival. Faisal was a half-brother of the present king, Salman, and therefore Prince Turki is a cousin of the Crown Prince – albeit at 73 more than twice his age.

For nearly 23 years, from 1977 to 2001, Prince Turki was the director of the Mukhabarat, the Saudi state intelligence apparatus. He was instrumental in Saudi, American and British organization of the mujahideen fighters in Afghanistan to combat Soviet forces. Those militants in Afghanistan later evolved into the al Qaeda terror network, which has served as a cat’s paw in various US proxy wars across the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia, including Russia’s backyard in the Caucasus.

Ten days before the 9/11 terror attacks on New York City, in which some 3,000 Americans died, Prince Turki retired from his post as head of Saudi intelligence. It was an abrupt departure, well before his tenure was due to expire.

There has previously been speculation in US media that this senior Saudi figure knew in advance that something major was going down on 9/11. At least 15 of the 19 Arabs who allegedly hijacked three commercial airplanes that day were Saudi nationals.

Prince Turki has subsequently been named in a 2002 lawsuit mounted by families of 9/11 victims. There is little suggestion he was wittingly involved in organizing the terror plot. Later public comments indicated that Prince Turki was horrified by the atrocity. But the question is: did he know of the impending incident, and did he alert US intelligence, which then did not take appropriate action to prevent it?

Jamal Khashoggi had long served as a trusted media advisor to Prince Turki, before the latter resigned from public office in 2007. Following 9/11, Turki was the Saudi ambassador to both the US and Britain.

A tentative idea here is that Khashoggi, in his close dealings with Prince Turki over the years, may have gleaned highly sensitive inside information on what actually happened on 9/11. Were the Arab hijackers mere patsies used by the American CIA to facilitate an event which has since been used by American military planners to launch a global “war on terror” as a cover for illegal wars overseas? There is a huge body of evidence that the 9/11 attacks were indeed a “false flag” event orchestrated by the US deep state as a pretext for its imperialist rampages.

The apparent abduction and murder last week of Jamal Khashoggi seems such an astoundingly desperate move by the Saudi rulers.More evidence is emerging from Turkish sources that the journalist was indeed lured to the consulate in Istanbul where he was killed by a 15-member hit squad. Reports are saying that the alleged assassination was ordered at the highest level of the Saudi royal court, which implicates Crown Prince MbS.

Why would the Saudi rulers order such a heinous act, which would inevitably lead to acute political problems, as we are seeing in the fallout from governments and media coverage around the world?

Over the past year, the House of Saud had been appealing to Khashoggi to return to Riyadh and resume his services as a media advisor to the royal court. He declined, fearing that something more sinister was afoot. When Khashoggi turned up in Istanbul to collect a divorce document from the Saudi consulate on September 28, it appears that the House of Saud decided to nab him. He was told to return to the consulate on October 2. On that same day, the 15-member group arrived from Riyadh on two private Gulfstream jets for the mission to kill him.

Official Saudi claims stretch credulity. They say Khashoggi left the consulate building unharmed by a backdoor, although they won’t provide CCTV images to prove that. The Turks say their own CCTV facilities monitoring the front and back of the Saudi consulate show that Khashoggi did not leave the premises. The Turks seem confident of their claim he was murdered inside the building, his remains dismembered and removed in diplomatic vehicles. The two private jets left the same day from Istanbul with the 15 Saudis onboard to return to Riyadh, via Cairo and Dubai.

To carry out such a reckless act, the Saudis must have been alarmed by Khashoggi’s critical commentaries appearing in the Washington Post. The columns appeared to be delivering more and more damaging insights into the regime under Crown Prince MbS.

The Washington Post this week is reporting that US intelligence sources knew from telecom intercepts that the Saudis were planning to abduct Khashoggi. That implicates the House of Saud in a dastardly premeditated act of murder.

But furthermore this same disclosure could also, unwittingly, implicate US intelligence. If the latter knew of a malicious intent towards Khashoggi, why didn’t US agents warn him about going to the Saudi consulate in Istanbul? Surely, he could have obtained the same personal documents from the Saudi embassy in Washington DC, a country where he was residing and would have been safer.

Jamal Khashoggi may have known too many dark secrets about US and Saudi intel collusion, primarily related to the 9/11 terror incidents. And with his increasing volubility as a critical journalist in a prominent American news outlet, it may have been time to silence him. The Saudis as hitmen, the American CIA as facilitators.

If I recall correctly, the True Patriot President Donald J Trump said the invasion of Iraq (and maybe Afghanistan) was a mistake with a current 7 trillion dollar price tag. It is a mess over there on several different dimensions. The Nauti Saudis, the Insanians, AND (of course) various corrupt Western Intelligence DEEP STATE actors. Bark Insane Obama is trying desperately to salvage his DEEP STATE legacy and likely has his ""A Team" on the hit squad job with Hilly and Billy (goat) called up for active "DEEP STATE Duty" in a do OR die desperate DEEP STATE move because the landscape AFTER the 2018 mid term elections could be there complete demise. Hey, we may even find out who killed Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed!!! :o
