Taylor Swift Fans Are Flooding Tennessee Senate Candidate Marsha Blackburn's Instagram With Snake Emojis

Donald Trump isn't the only one who probably likes Taylor Swift's music less following her Instagram post supporting Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Phil Bredesen. Bredesen's opponent, U.S. Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn, might not be listening to Taylor anytime soon — at least if Swifties have anything to do with it.

Supportive Taylor Swift fans have been taking a stand against Blackburn with their weapon of choice: snake emojis. Swifties have been flooding Blackburn's Instagram with the signature green emoji since Taylor announced her vote for Bredesen on Sunday, Oct. 7.

On Blackburn's most recent photo, which features the candidate in Lawrence County, Tennessee, fans have swarmed the post with comments. One fan wrote, "Taylor swift a kween for the people. Bye snake." Another added, "LMAO Taylor Swift just ended you." The emojis seem to appear on posts as far back as Sept. 6.

In her Instagram essay, Taylor wrote about the candidate, "As much as I have in the past and would like to continue voting for women in office, I cannot support Marsha Blackburn. Her voting record in Congress appalls and terrifies me. She voted against equal pay for women. She voted against the Reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, which attempts to protect women from domestic violence, stalking, and date rape. She believes businesses have a right to refuse service to *** couples. She also believes they should not have the right to marry. These are not MY Tennessee values."

It's not the first time Swifties have mobilized via the snake emoji, which fans reclaimed after Kim Kardashian and Katy Perry famously used it allegedly to subtweet Taylor. Since then, Taylor herself incorporated it into the themes and marketing around Reputation. Now, the emoji moment has come full circle, with Taylor fans using it to take aim at people the singer doesn't agree with.

Teen Vogue has reached out to Marsha Blackburn's office for comment.

It does imply that she had an impact. Considering she commented for people to get out and register to vote and the next day there was a surge can been seen as a connection. What other factors contributed the day before the surge?

President Trump was out there before Swift on commenting at his rallies to get out and VOTE, but the bias media won't report it.  So you're missing out on what is truly  happening way before a celebrity opens their mouths because you choose to stay in tune with one side news.:confused2:

Santa's note;

I love to burst yer bubble sweetie

so here's the truth.

Ratings: Taylor Swift Can’t Save AMAs From Hitting New All-Time Low

ABC’s “AMAs” set a new record low in TV ratings on Tuesday, despite Taylor Swift

opening the show with a performance and closing it by clutching the evening’s top award.

The “American Music Awards” settled for a 1.8 rating this year among adults 18-49, which is the demographic most attractive to advertisers. It had a 2.4 in 2017 when the special aired on a Sunday in November. Last year’s 2.4 tied the previous record-low set by the 2016 version.

Here are the (mostly) comparable 2017 AMAs ratings. That one didn’t do great either, but its Nielsen returns were 25 percent better than last night’s.

With the ABC special’s lackluster performance, NBC was able to tie the Disney-owned broadcast net in terms of primetime ratings averages. CBS won the night among total viewers, and ABC settled for third.

NBC and ABC tied for first in ratings, both with a 1.8. NBC had an 8 share, ABC got a 7. NBC was second in total viewers with an average of 8.3 million, according to preliminary numbers.

ABC was third in total viewers with 6.5 million. The “American Music Awards” were the only show on its primetime schedule, airing from 8-11 p.m.

For NBC, “The Voice” at 8 p.m. earned a 1.8/8 and 9 million viewers. At 9, “This Is Us” scored a 2.3/9 and 8.8 million viewers. “New Amsterdam” at 10 put up a 1.4/6 and 7.1 million viewers.

CBS was third in ratings with a 1.1/5 and first in viewers with 9.7 million. “NCIS” at 8 landed a 1.4/6 and 12.2 million viewers. At 9, “FBI” had a 1.0/4 and 9.1 million viewers. “NCIS: New Orleans” at 10 got a 0.9/4 and 7.9 million viewers.

Fox was fourth in ratings with a 0.7/3 and in viewers with 2.5 million. “The Gifted” at 8 received a 0.7/3 and 2.1 million viewers. “Lethal Weapon” at 9 matched its lead-in’s rating and share and grew Fox’s audience to 3 million viewers.

The CW was fifth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in viewers with 1.6 million. The season premiere of “The Flash” at 8 had a 0.8/3 and 2.1 million viewers. The “Black Lightning” Season 2 premiere at 9 got a 0.4/2 and 1.2 million viewers.

Tuesday marked the start of The CW’s fall season.

Univision and Telemundo tied for sixth in ratings, both with a 0.4/2. Univision was sixth in total viewers with 1.4 million, Telemundo was seventh with 1.2 million.

Taylor Swift Endorsed Democrat...Then His Polls Tanked | TimCast

I have stated this many times, that I am not a believer in polls telling us exactly where races are (i.e. I think the standard deviation is probably double from +/- 3% to more like +/- 6%), but I do believe that they give us a good view into trends. The conclusion that can be drawn from this poll and many others is that there is a wave this year, and it will be RED.

This could be poetic justice but it's most likely that the polls, as always, were lying about the Demoncraps numbers to begin with.

None the less this is funny as all get out. Hey demon woman Taylor maybe you should just shut up and sing.

So you think that a court jester that only has one talent (singing)

is comparable to a billionaire business man that succeeds at everything he invest time in.

And you wonder why the Democrat party are considered losers and terrorist ?

Okay, sure....Would you like to discuss the "small starter fund" of 413 million he got from his dad?....or his multiple bankruptcies?.... or his scammed business associates and contractors?.....or his undocumented Trump employees?.....or his racists renter tactics of his youth?....or his FAILED Trump University?.....or his multiple extra-marital affairs?....or his enablers and supporters with such high moral standards?  Taylor Swift needs to get on the ball if she wants to accomplish Donald Trump type excellence.  Funny stuff, Sentinel...very funny stuff.

The peanut gallery describes a rowdy group of critics or hecklers who give unsolicited, uninformed and unhelpful advice. The term comes from the days of American vaudeville when the topmost, cheapest seats were dubbed the peanut gallery. Peanuts were sold as refreshments at most vaudeville shows, and if the occupants of the cheap seats were displeased with a performance, peanuts would rain down from their gallery. Later, the term peanut gallery was perpetuated by Buffalo Bob Smith who hosted a children’s radio show called the Howdy Doody Show. Today, the peanut gallery refers to any group of critics or hecklers whose opinions are worthless, though it sometimes is used in a friendly way to refer to a vocal audience.

I don't know about the rest of America, but here in Tennessee on the local news the young people they interviewed were definitely  motivated by Taylor Swift's call out... That doesn't mean she was the only one responsible, but she did have an impact in this region. And let's not forget, she does have 85 million followers on social media. And we all know how Americans like that, just look at Kim Kadashian's husband in the white house last week... Celebrities do have an affect on fans.. Including our president...

She makes her money off of capitalism. She knows nothing about socialism. If we were socialist she would still be a nobody.  If she knows nothing about socialism she knows nothing about the democrat party.  She needs to stick with what she knows, which might be very little.

Of course she was just stating her opinion, much like you are doing... Should you stick to what you know?

No offense meant, but if we all stuck to what we know, this would be a very boring universe.
