Sudan sets the exchange rate at 47.5 pounds per dollar

Follow - up - the balance of News 
said the head of the Union of Bankers in Sudan , said that his country set the exchange rate at 47.5 Sudanese pounds to the US dollar on Sunday and the first day to start work a new mechanism for the currency and in a sharp reduction in its value. 
The new price is much lower than the official exchange rate on Saturday of 29 Sudanese pounds per dollar. 
The Central Bank of Sudan announced on Thursday that the country will begin today to determine the daily exchange rate through a newly formed body of bankers and exchange offices in the framework of a package of measures to address the economic crisis.
