10-4-2018   Intel Guru RayRen98   Sources are reporting that Prime Minister-Designate Abdul Mahdi will announce his cabinet members at the next Parliament session on Tuesday, adding that if not on Tuesday, then it will be announced on Thursday. This cabinet will replace PM Abadi's cabinet, who appears to be in full cooperation with the change of power.  Iraqi TV reports the CBI announcing the placement of large quantities of the smaller notes in circulation next week  to meet the needs of daily transactions. The 1,000 dinar note resurfaces as tattered 250's and 500's are being replaced with new currency. There is speculation that even smaller currency will be introduced next week also...TIME WILL TELL...

10-4-2018   Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat   Article:  "AL-HANAL: THE TIME IS RIGHT TO LAUNCH THE ID TRILLION INITIATIVE"   Quote:  "...THE TIME IS APPROPRIATE to activate the initiative of the Central Bank of “trillion dinars” for the support of small and medium enterprises..."   So can they make more money from loaning money than they can from the currency auction spread?   ...the timing of this news could not get any better. This is part of the “deliberate steps” the CBI is talking about...when they delayed the project to delete the zeros in April.  We can now witness also the STABILITY of the government has come and this election saga is finally over.  ...Will they decide to continue the project to delete the zeros and pick up where they left off in April? I believe they will.  We know that this initiative in this article is part of the...redenomination process. So this is VERY good news for us. This initiative will coincide with getting off the currency auctions... This too is one of the issues in supporting the go ahead by the CBI to let the project to delete the zeros get into full swing.

10-4-2018   Intel Guru Frank26   [via Manaolana3]  Synopsis:   Announcement made Mahdi as next PM; question whether his acceptance is constitutional; BUT it's not over yet (announcement took Frank and Teams by surprise).  USA supports Mahdi and is being congratulated by many including ME countries, Amb Silliman, State Dept Rep McGurk,and others.  USA gave list of technocrats to Mahdi; will rid of Iranian influence in Iraq, but most important seating of the government of Iraq.  Mahdi is recognized by all parties due to his history, whereas, Abadi is not.  Mahdi is a bridge, a conduit to the GOI, but is not from the large bloc; may have issues, and if there is opposition, may walk.  Madhi has the support of Sistani; supports Sistani's plans/reforms, is a settlement candidate...(post 1 of 2....see following)... 

10-4-2018   Intel Guru Frank26   Mahdi is loved by the citizens and everyone in Iraq...Not committed to any political bloc...supports economic and monetary reforms, HCL for citizens, give citizens more purchasing power...wrote many report including his opposition to the auctions.  Mahdi has 30 days to form his government...Mahdi supports the lifting of the 3 o's and will bust-open the reforms.  Mahdi as PM will enhance security and stability and a suitable environment to allow all all economic and monetary reforms to continue.  PM Abadi is still in charge of the government until Mahdi puts together his government in 30 days...let the dust settle. The most important thing to remember is to seat the government, not who is the PM..(post 2 of 2)..

1-4-2018  Newshound Guru Adam Montana  [How is the political map looking now that Barham Saleh has been announced as the President?]   I don't see anything wrong with this pick. In fact, his immediate announcement of a choice in PM says a lot about how we can expect things to change.  This is possibly even better than Abadi remaining PM... the status quo is due for a shakeup, and a "fresh face" can certainly do that now.  Looking forward to the coming days! 

10-4-2018   Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat   So I told everyone...that come this next constitutional deadline of Oct 2nd the flood gates would probably open wide with news and this election saga would wind down.  So...October 2nd, we witnessed finally the election of the new president and he announced his candidate for prime minister minutes after these formalities were over based on the provisions of Article 76 Constitution. Now this candidate has to go before the parliament to be ratified and this should be more of formality than anything else.  Article quote:  "Douglas Silliman‏, the US ambassador to Iraq congratulated Mahdi and wished him the best of success to as he starts to form the new government of Iraq.  The USA will work with the future PM to help his government meet the needs and aspirations of all the people of Iraq."  So it appears that the USA does accept and will support this new prime minister Mahdi. This is very good for us.

There are several who are Knowledgeable and are true students of Iraq, the CBI, and the hopeful Monetary Reform - Kaperoni, Breitling, and Enorrste. Frank26 is knowledgeable but has a flair for the dramatic. Then of course we have our own Adam Montana. There are several others who are insightful, and i carefully consider their information. You can separate the wheat from the chaff, by simply reading and considering what is being said, and those who constantly make predictions. They quote vague "sources" that never seem to pan out.

 

What is posted above is simply key statements that some of them state on various forums on the internet. Hopefully this might help you a bit, when you consider what is being posted by these gurus. Be blessed - RON

10-4-2018   Newshound Guru Currency365‏  CBI releasing new lower notes next week for trading to stop the liquidity crisis...doesn't need a rate change even though we would like one but the small notes/coins need a rate change cause they would have negative value...so expect the new 1000, 500, and maybe 250 next week

10-4-2018   Newshound Guru Kaperoni    Starting next week the CBI will start pumping replacement notes into the market for those that have been damaged over the years.  Many new features. ...Nothing more than replacement, not the beginning of some RV or RI lol. Not how it's going to happen. The sheer fact that they're doing this should prove to you that there is no overnight event.  If and when the dinar starts to rise it could take one to three years to get equal to a dollar. It is totally related to how fast investment comes into the country. Providing replacement notes for the citizens is always a good thing.
