I don’t know how many people have heard the warnings about this dreadful condition! I have heard of people and friends who have suffered with it, never really paying much attention to their warnings! Well this dreadful virus hit my wife and she is  a damn tough Texas woman! We first thought she had got in poison ivy.  After the 1st day I thought she was just allergic to it because it was spreading faster than I had ever seen it spread with major blisters! So I took her to dr ! Mis diagnosed ! Two days go by it keeps getting worse and more painful than ever. I take her to hospital! Shingles is diagnosed. Now after 4 full weeks the blisters and scabs are just about through but it is red and you can see the nerves in her skin  are still inflamed , she still has severe pain starting her 5 week! I’m telling this,so all my friends here on DV can get their shingles shot like me. I would not have went and got one of the shots had I had not see this terrible condition with my own eyes! I know I’m not tough enough to put up with this condition! By the way you must take two vaccine shots! It will set you back 4 hundred dollars! Trust me that will be the best 4 hundred you ever spent! Now Go Get SHOT!!’ JMHO

If you or your wife have another flare up of this, go to a health store and get some colloidal silver, 500ppm. Apply to the effected area with cotton balls 3-4 times a day. It will shorten the duration of the flare up. If you want to take the silver internally get a bottle of 10ppm and take a teaspoon twice a day. Colloidal silver, kills bacteria, fungus and viruses. Something antibiotics cannot do. Good luck.

She is suffering with this condition! I will go buy that tomorrow!! Thanks for your input!! I urge everyone to go get vaccinated!! You don’t want this !!! Believe me!

I understand what your wife is going through Artitech, My mother suffers with the same condition in her mouth. If you had chicken pox as a child the virus responsible is in your system and never leaves. Having gone to a neurologist at first she was eventually referred to a pain management specialist and is now taking opioids which don't work. The only promising treatment i was able to find online was recently published in the "emergency medicine journal" involving a shot of numbing medication to the tip of the nerve responsible for the pain but unfortunately cannot be delivered to the facial area according to her doctor, even though the link below suggests it can be. The shot has been shown to kill the pain from one to six months and can be given multiple times. She is in agony with no end in sight. Can't eat as her tongue is extremely sore and she has sores in her mouth that burn when anything even slightly acid or with salt is consumed.         I am very empathetic towards your wife and yourself as you have had to walk this path.  My greatest concern with respect to the shots that we can get to prevent shingles from ever being present is whether or not the drug manufacturers are also adding mercury to the solution.  This is one of the main reasons that my family will not get flu shots.  We don’t need any more mercury building up in our bodies with the help of the medical community.  I will never forget the look on the face of a pharmacist when I asked her how I would benefit by getting more mercury into my system.  She said, “there is no benefit to mercury, it is a killer.”

          My response, “Why would I want to hasten my death by getting a shot with that ingredient in it?”

          “You wouldn’t.”

            I rest my case.  

            We are still looking for shingles solution without mercury.  Thank you.

Shingles is VERY  VERY painful, I had it from armpit down the inside of arm to my wrist. It is like now you don't see it  and then it's there,it hits fast.   At top of arm there blisters were 4"across then at elbow about 3" at wrist 2".   It can spread til blisters heal to other people if fluid touches an open wound.   If you have a bad case then most likely you will get PHN,  this is left over pain from nerve damage just under skin and some never get over it. I got mine in 1999 end of May and middle  way to following Feb pain was wasn't as bad but did hurt.  My immune  system  was very low, April 8 I found out had rare illness, transverse myelitis, spine swelled left with numbness from waist to toes and lost of balance  never recovered,  had 20 yr ann. yesterday,  had high doses of  steriods (forgive spelling)  for 3 mos, this may have triggered shingles .     Mine was worst if my arm rubbed a side seam in clothes, had to be SOFT also  had to make nightgowns with no seam on right side.   My Mom told me to see a chiropractor my Dad went to one and got rid of his just ask if they  treat shingles, he adjusted  my neck 3 times. WOW worst pain gone, tried 6 more times to get rid of PHN but no luck.Over 3-4 yrs most of pain gone but does flare up from time to time.   They now have a non live virus shot that I plan to get, I hope this may help others, I  wish everyone the best of luck.
