Confidential report said that the Secretary-General of the United Nations Security Council informed the concern of the possibility that Iran had breached an arms embargo by providing Hezbollah with weapons and missiles.

According to Reuters, the second report, semi-annual, which is scheduled to be debated by the Security Council on January 18, refers to the accusation from France that the shipment of arms seized in the north of the Indian Ocean in March were from Iran and possibly they were on their way to Somalia or Yemen.

And it raised most of the UN sanctions a year ago under an agreement concluded with Iran , Britain, France, Germany, China, Russia and the United States and the European Union to curb its nuclear program.

But Iran is still subject to an arms embargo and other restrictions are not technically part of the nuclear deal.

The Secretary - General (former) Ban Ki - moon this report to the Security Council on December 30 before his successor Antonio Guterres on the first of January.

This comes just weeks before President - elect Donald Trump 's office. The Trump had threatened to either cancel the nuclear deal or seek a better deal.

Ban said in the report 'Hassan Nasrallah , Secretary General of Hezbollah , said in a televised speech broadcast on Al - Manar television on June 24, 2016 that Hezbollah 's budget and Roatbh and expenses and weapons and missiles all come from Iran.

He added: 'I am deeply concerned by the statement , which indicates that the transfer of arms and related material of her possibly being in violation of Iran' the decision of the UN Security Council. '

 Version: paper - InternationalSunday, January 15, 2017 (00:00 - GMT)
Last Updated: Sunday, January 15, 2017 (00:00 - GMT)Tehran - Mohammed Saleh Sedkian

Breathe by Iranian militants sigh of relief with the absence of the Chairman of the Expediency Hashemi Rafsanjani Council, is still the possibility of his successor Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and paved the way for serious thinking about his successor, especially that late last year, said the leader «is preparing a list of potential characters that can occupy position ». The list included 100 candidates and the selection was limited to three or five people, and without mentioning possible names.

It is widely believed that the death of Rafsanjani will open a new page in dealing militants with political scene, and some even go to reduce the pressure on reformists due to a lack of potential for personal dig behind her and not to be afraid of a political or societal division at home, and some even waiting for clearance pressures imposed the two leaders Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi. The issue remains on the position of the Revolutionary Guards, this entity did not feel embarrassed by Rafsanjani, for he stood at his side and even co-founded, and was a supporter of the work of its institutions. But he did not want to see him in the position of leader, because he believed that Rafsanjani was not entirely consistent with his ideas and adopting issues considered strategic, such as «exporting the revolution» and supporting the vulnerable and to deal with the Western countries, foreign investment, and thus his departure rested parties and make it before the benefits are different from the goals set by in 2009.

Some had interpreted the statement Khamenei during a meeting with members of the new Assembly of Experts after their first meeting in May (last May), and his talk about the task undertaken by their council to elect a new leader, he refers to the illness affects makes members before the election event raided in his absence. However, insiders believe that the leader intended to invite the Assembly of Experts to elect his successor in his lifetime, similar to what had been followed during the reign of Imam Khomeini, when he was elected Hossein Ali Montazeri as his successor before he cuts off after disagreements occurred at the time.

Sources indicate that the first interest in the need to create a profile candidate to succeed him in case of any emergency Khamenei, and to achieve stability for Iran in the event of his absence. This initiative has received support from offering many leaders, including Rafsanjani.

It names put forward for this sensitive post, President Hassan Rowhani, Vice-President of the Assembly of Experts Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi, head of the judiciary Sadeq Larijani, op militant Mohammad Taqi Mesbah Yazdi, the son of Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, and Hassan Khomeini, son of the founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini. It has emerged as a major name Ibrahim, Deputy Head of the Judiciary newly appointed supervisor of the shrine of Imam Ali Ibn Musa Reza, one of the important institutions in Iran on religious and economic levels, and is respected by Shiites in the world.

Shahroudi has emerged early in the proximity of Khamenei since he assumed the post of leader after the departure of Khomeini, but his chances diminished due to the Iraqi assets and lack of enjoyment of charismatic leadership in a country facing a stressful challenges. Therefore, it is likely that the leader dropped his name from the list of candidates, and other names still seesaw between acceptance and exclusion, based on their personalities and leadership familiarity with the affairs of the country and the law and challenges.

Rafsanjani was floated the idea of forming a leadership council shall missions leader instead of one person as stipulated in the Constitution, but they have not received the unanimous concerned, especially the Revolutionary Guards, stresses the need for a personal fundamentalism as velayat-e faqih can maintain values and revolutionary principles that came in the Islamic Republic, which walked by Khamenei, especially in light of the dominance of the United States believed the situation and developments in the Middle East and the world.

The Export Development Bank of Iran will grant credit lines to three Asian banks in either euro or the currencies of target countries
Two credit lines collectively worth €175 million will soon be approved for two South Korean and Turkish banks

The Export Development Bank of Iran will soon grant credit lines to banks in South Korea, Turkey and Iraq, announced the bank's chief executive.

"Two credit lines collectively worth €175 million will soon be approved for two South Korean and Turkish banks," Ali Salehabadi was quoted as saying by IBENA.

He added that €100 million have been considered for the Export-Import Bank of Korea or Korea Eximbank, while Turk Eximbank will receive €75 million.

The official stressed that the credit lines are not in US dollar and will be issued either "in euro or currencies of the target countries".

Salehabadi also announced that an $18 million credit line will be opened with an Iraqi bank, saying the credit line aims to expand Iran's exports to the neighboring Arab country and "if other Iraqi banks meet the capital adequacy ratio, we are ready to allocate more lines of credit to that country".

"This way, Iranian exporters can cash in their exports through this credit line and the Iraqi bank will repay it over a period of two years," Salehabadi said. "All the best exporters, namely 82% of top-notch exporters in the country, are our clients."

He further noted that EDBI is holding negotiations with Export-Import Bank of India, Eximbank of Russia and another unnamed Russian bank.

"We are now in the phase of doing the paperwork," he added.

According to the official, the bank has also signed memorandums of understanding with the Indonesia Eximbank and the Eximbank of Hungary.

Loan Performance

Salehabadi said EDBI's financing of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SME) has been one of the main focuses of the Central Bank of Iran during the current fiscal year.

"During the first 10 months of the year (March 20-Janaury 19), 198 of the ailing SMEs received 3.884 trillion rials ($100.4 million) in capital from the bank," he said.

During the same period, he added, the exim bank allocated 4 trillion rials ($104.6 million) to "various export-oriented manufacturing sectors with a 5% interest subsidy" following an agreement with the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade.

Based on the agreement, the bank will also dole out "loans worth 10 billion rials ($261,500) and 20 billion rials ($523,000) to these industries to meet their working capital needs".

As reported by Salehabadi, EDBI has allocated 38.433 trillion rials ($1 billion) worth of loans in the 10 months to Jan. 19, which registers a 10% rise in working capital loans.

"But loans allocated to certain schemes have declined because one of the policies approved in the shareholders' meeting of the bank was to increase working capital loans," he said.

"The remaining foreign exchange deposits of EDBI equal $1.320 billion, which marks a 150% increase when put up against the corresponding period of last year."

Salehabadi noted that the remaining rial deposits of the bank have reached 16.908 trillion rials ($442.1 million), marking a rise of 84%.

According to the official, the bank's letters of credit stood at 2.95 trillion rials ($77.14 million) by the end of the 10th month, registering another considerable rise of 587%.

In conclusion, Salehabadi put the total value of credit lines opened at EDBI at "about $500 million" and payment orders at $2.7 billion.

Iran's colossal military capabilities are nothing but charade - Report

February 06 2017 06:00 PM
Iran boasts its hollow power
Iran boasts its hollow power

Military experts said in a detailed strategic report that the Iranian military capabilities are nil if compared to the ones of the Gulf states.

They also added that Iran, through its media platforms, is falsifying the truth in this respect.

According to the strategists, this conclusion is no kind of overrating to the Iranian capabilities as it is based on plain facts relating to military aspects.

Iran's ground forces are practically paralyzed from a plain military perspective, the experts say, the Gulf States have strong points which are, at the same time, considered weaknesses for Iran.

Another bonus for the Gulf States is that none of them has land borders with Iran.

Also, the Iranian ground troops, whose numbers are a matter of incessant boasting by the Iranians, will represent no threat to the Gulf countries due to the natural water barrier (the gulf waters).

Gulf States, not Iran, have a superior air force

Image1_22017618215671076466.png

As for the air force, Iran is a very weak country due to the embargo imposed on exporting spare parts to its outmoded jets, which barred Tehran from upgrading its air fleet or training pilots.

On the other side, the Gulf countries have sophisticated fighter jets and top-crust pilots given that wars currently are based on modern technology in the first place.

Somehow balanced naval forces

In this report, the experts say that the big Iranian warships were destroyed in the 1980s, and it now depends on small gunboats and North Korea-style submarines.

And this is considered somehow an impediment to the Gulf States. But they can use it through gunship helicopters whose takeoffs and landings are from aboard frigates.

Image1_220176182216746925402.png

Also, Iran has missile-based capsizing capabilities but they are not powerful enough as they lack proper communication and direction systems.

The experts indicated that this system depends mainly on hitting hostile targets with the biggest possible number of projectiles.

The report explains that Iran also adopts proxy wars through its stooges in the region such al-Hashd militias (IMIS), Houthis, Hezbollah, minorities and Shiite organizations.

The attempts of these forces could be refuted depending on intelligence agencies, whose staffers in the Gulf are highly trained.

Yet Tehran capitalizes on media which stirs its surrogates to stir chaos through fomenting demos, sit-ins and rebellion in the Gulf.

To face this, a number of newspapers, websites and satellite channels were launched to expose the Iranian plots and destructive policies in the region.
