9-2-2018   Newshound Guru  MilitiaMan   Article:  “Abadi: We will not risk the interests of our people to please Iran or any other country”  Lets not forget that Abadi has been looking to move the ball forward for the people and that includes the Kurds.  One of the SBA agreements with the IMF is in regard to the Budget and the Kurds getting a fair share of it and with combining Baghdad and Erbil into one budget, imo. Well the SBA was/is a tool for giving investors security that is derived from the SBA with the IMF.. The IMF brings clout to the region. They held off in 2018 so far, as they were awaiting the elections and to seat the gov. Well now we know that is slated for tomorrow. ...the talk of paying the Kurds monthly and electronically suggests they have a number in mind for the budget already.. imo

9-2-2018   Newshound Guru Currency365   BREAKING: Sadr & Abadi alliance form largest parliamentary bloc after striking deal with Sunni National Axis Alliance ...

9-2-2018   Newshound Guru chattels   Quote:  "Sadr-Abadi bloc announces formation of Iraq’s largest parliamentary bloc"   According to Iraq’s state news agency, the alliance includes 177 lawmakers from 16 different lists to unite in Iraq’s 329-seat chamber. The breakthrough came when the Sunni National Axis Alliance agreed to join the bloc. The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) are not currently part of the bloc.  If true then the bloc has 12 supporters more than needed.

9-2-2018   Newshound Gurus Bloodloch and Kathy   Article:  "Sadr-Abadi bloc announces formation of Iraq’s largest parliamentary bloc"  Quote:  "Muqtada al-Sadr’s Sayirun, Haider al-Abadi’s Nasr (Victory), and fourteen other political groups have announced the formation of the biggest parliamentary bloc capable of forming Iraq’s next government."  And then there were 177, well over the 165 threshold for control of government formation. Looking forward to tomorrow's (Monday) Session of Parliament. This is awesome!

9-2-2018   Newshound Guru Don961  Article:  "Legal : It is not permissible to extend the period specified by the Constitution for the convening of the first parliament session"   So...the opening session must go on tomorrow by law...to swear in newbies, etc...but if there is a quorum, the eldest MP, who opens the show , can ask for a vote on a 15-day extension to allow the blocs more time (15 days) to agree on candidates for a new President and Vice-Presidents of the House, etc...then the other 2 can be worked on... President of the Republic and PM...by the majority bloc...to round out the 3 Presidencies of the GOI...imo.

9-2-2018   Newshound/Intel Guru David M. Witty  In Iraqi election news, Maliki says he will not accept nomination to be new PM. Says he made this promise many years ago & is bound to it.

9-2-2018  Newshound Guru chattels  Neither of the two main coalitions have a majority at this time. Both the Sunni and Kurds appear to be trying to leverage their support for various concessions from both coalitions.  It may be weeks or months before the outcome is determined. The ultimate question /concern is whether either coalition will enable our liquidity event.  We wait, watch and wonder which or whether either "winning" bloc will make a wit of difference in what we wish for.

9-2-2018   Newshound Guru MilitiaMan   Article:  "Central announces the sale of more than 174 million dollars through the auction"     I would like to point out that the above appears to be telling us they held a special auction ...[Friday].  I am no expert on the auctions be sure. But, the pattern we have witnessed from time back...shows a clear pattern change to that of the above. First...they did one...on a holy day... Not normal behavior, from what I recall.   They are in line with talking about foreign currencies... But, the above imo is excluding the USD and in fact they are not talking physical currency for the most part, as the largest portion is in the form of remittances and credits the other is in foreign currencies, i.e., electronically. Well with sanctions being imposed on Iran using the dollar, we can see they are curtailing the ability for that to happen as Abadi has been clear on the matter. However, they appear to still be buying and selling other Foreign Currencies and possibly within the local region. (Part 1 of 2)

9-2-2018   Newshound Guru MilitiaMan   As noted, they are excluding banks and financial transfer companies to sell the Dollar, thus, one might ask who gets remittances and or credits and for what purposes and in relatively large amounts? Contractors, etc.? Sure they fit, and as we know and we have been told the Auctions will cease to exist, as we have previously been used to. This surely looks to now break that pattern and apparently suggests they stopped banks and financial transfer companies from selling the Dollar.. Or more simply may just have ceased the auctions like we have been waiting for... They in recent past were using the money to boost banks balance sheets abroad.. Not the case here.... We shall see. )Part 2 of 2)
