I don't belong to a party, but of course your brain cannot absorb truth... But if you think the corporate welfare we just witnessed is going to be reinvested you might want to look up the term stock buyback and try executive bonus.... You will find those terms interesting being a fiscal conservative.

"I don't belong to a party".....u just post 100% pro-liberal.....2nd grade stuff........again

Well then my friend I won't go back and read any of it.....I too was surprised and disappointed in the flag fiasco....one thing that can be said about Trump is that he's consistant.....McCain fired the first volley at Trump and Trump came back hard....as he says...you start it...I'll punch back.....I would have prefered something different on this one....JMO.....CL

There aren't many people who even know what liberty means... And truth be told, elected folks left or right in Washington don't want you to have liberty. They spend all their time figuring out new ways to take away our liberties, and most people march in goosestep right along with them.

I'm probably going to regret it, but I balanced out the neg someone gave you.

Those are words to a message I have been screaming from my little soapbox for decades.

The problem is  Odirtbag used those very same words too,  but his interpretation was so twisted almost no one was whacked to the same level, and therefore could not imagine the bastardization of grammar on the level where he existed.

Entire auditoriums were breathlessly panting "yes we can" in zombie like obedience, mistaking hyperventilation for kumbaya-ness.

White people eager to prove they held no racism jumped at the chance to vote for him, believing their commonly accepted meaning of the words used were the actual intent of the message.

Which leaves the question, what is "liberty"

Is it the choice between green tea or water, because the government outlawed everything else, or the ability OF EVERY HUMAN to chose the .32 or 9mm to take with you when you go to dinner, or is that choice limited to those who have managed to gain government favor?

I agree most people have no idea what liberty is, after the decades of unscrupulous "teachers" breaking their oath and injecting agenda, intentionally deteriorating morality,  and eagerly bastardizing history to cultivate the most ignorant generation to ever exist in America, it will take at least one full generation of honest education before society at large could even handle true liberty.

A “war hero” doesn’t finish 894th out of 899 and still get stationed at a Navy champagne unit and promoted ahead of all but two of his 898 other classmates.

A “war hero” doesn’t crash three U.S. Navy jets out of sheer incompetence and ineptitude, including two during non-combat training sessions.

A “war hero” doesn’t get written up on drunk-and-disorderly, fraternization, disobeying orders, and insubordination charges more than two dozen times in less than three years.

A “war hero” doesn’t get promoted to squadron commander of the air field named after his own grandfather immediately after crashing his third airplane. A “war hero” doesn’t have all the military records that cover his time in Vietnam and all disciplinary actions against him censored and sealed “as a matter of national security.” A “war hero” doesn’t get 28 medals awarded all after-the-fact “for bravery” for no other reason than being shot down and captured and then go on a celebrity public relations tour because he’s the son of two acclaimed Navy admirals. A “war hero” doesn’t repeatedly cheat on the wife who’s back in the states waiting for him, and then cheat on her more when he returns to the states, and then divorce and abandon her.

A “war hero” doesn’t systematically vote against every single pay and benefit increase for military and veterans throughout his entire political career, all the while claiming to be “the soldier’s Congressman,” and then take credit for the passage of a G.I. benefits bill he that voted AGAINST. A “war hero” McCain III lost jet number one in 1958 when he plunged into Corpus Christi Bay while practicing landings. He was knocked unconscious by the impact coming to as the plane settled to the bottom. McCain’s second crash occurred while he was deployed in the Mediterranean. “Flying too low over the Iberian Peninsula,” Timberg wrote, “he took out some power lines [reminiscent of the 1998 incident in which a Marine Corps jet sliced through the cables of a gondola at an Italian ski resort, killing 20] which led to a spate of newspaper stories in which he was predictably identified as the son of an admiral.”

McCain’s third crash three occurred when he was returning from flying a Navy trainer solo to Philadelphia for an Army-Navy football game. Timberg reported that McCain radioed, “I’ve got a flame out” and went through standard relight procedures three times before ejecting at one thousand feet. McCain landed on a deserted beach moments before the plane slammed into a clump of trees. McCain’s fifth loss happened during his 23rd mission over North Vietnam on Oct. 26, 1967, when McCain’s A-4 Skyhawk was shot down by a surface-to-air missile. McCain ejected from the plane breaking both arms and a leg in the process and subsequently parachuted into Truc Bach Lake near Hanoi. For 23 combat missions (an estimated 20 hours over enemy territory), the U.S. Navy awarded McCain a Silver Star, a Legion of Merit for Valor, a Distinguished Flying Cross, three Bronze Stars, two Commendation medals plus two Purple Hearts and a dozen service medals. “McCain had roughly 20 hours in combat,” explains Bill Bell, a veteran of Vietnam and former chief of the U.S. Office for POW/MIA Affairs — the first official U.S. representative in Vietnam since the 1973 fall of Saigon. “Since McCain got 28 medals,” Bell continues, “that equals out to about a medal-and-a-half for each hour he spent in combat. There were infantry guys — grunts on the ground — who had more than 7,000 hours in combat and I can tell you that there were times and situations where I’m sure a prison cell would have looked pretty good to them by comparison."

And yet The American Legion still found it important to set Pres. Bone Spurs straight.  Hmmm.....who should we trust, one of the largest war veteran's organizations or a silver spooned draft dodger?  That's a toughy.

RUSH: Here’s Wade in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Welcome, sir. Great to have you here.

CALLER: Rush, it’s a great, great pleasure to talk to you. I’ve been listening to you since 1989 when I was in the United States Navy.

RUSH: Well, that’s 29 years. That’s almost a lifer for you. I appreciate that.

APP-091018-McCain-Funeral-2.jpg

CALLER: Absolutely, sir. When you were talking about John McCain’s funeral, it brought back a memory of something you stated to us many, many moons ago. The Paul Wellstone memorial and political rally.

RUSH: Now, the Wellstone memorial was a lot more raucous and irreligious than the McCain funeral. The Wellstone memorial was not actually a funeral. All of that had happened. Wellstone had been laid to rest. This was actually just a memorial some weeks afterwards as opposed to an actual funeral service in a church. But I get your point. There were many similarities in terms of the politicization, right?

CALLER: Oh, yes, sir. It was a funeral and a memorial service, and then it turned into, for lack of a better word, an anti-Trump rally and, you know, Trump doesn’t know what he’s doing, and now he’s attacking this great American.

RUSH: This is where I differ from you. I don’t think it turned into anything. And I’m not being critical. Don’t misunderstand. Don’t misunderstand my words or my tone of voice. I don’t think it turned into anything. I think it was what it was planned to be. And, I think, I alluded to this in the first hour. John McCain was a twice loser, and yet he got a presidential funeral. Why? I don’t think that’s accidental. I don’t think it’s coincidental. A United States Senator. When’s the last time you saw a funeral like that for any United States senator, folks? You just don’t see it.

I’m just telling you what is. Senators do not get funerals like presidents do. They gave McCain a presidential funeral and McCain wanted it. That funeral — this is what blew me away about it. I’ve always thought of funerals as for the living, comfort the living, the family, salvation of the soul of the deceased. Eternal life, heaven, that’s the purpose of funerals is to enforce, to make confident, to appeal to God for the soul of the deceased, and they didn’t do any of that.

APP-091018-McCaiin.jpg

They took the occasion of a nationally televised event for three hours to bash Donald Trump. And, in a sense, it was close to the Wellstone memorial, but it was planned to be that. That’s what it was intended to be. It was the establishment taking the death of a senator and utilizing that death for another attack on Trump.

Makes me wonder in these days of mass division how much a simple "thumbs up" would have changed a dug-in person's outlook.
