screwball
It will be interesting to watch I can tell you that Iran’s parliament has approved a plan to remove four zeros but if you remember correctly the put forward a plan for one zero. Majlis response was if you are going to approve one you might as well do four. In their words they want their currency to have true worth and real value... 1

I would presume that clearing out all the gold reserves in Iraq would have been top priority when Saddam's statue toppled . It would have be insanity for the US to just leave it there . dinarbeleiver
Received this from a mate Look at this....so much going on in the Middle East.....I still think we are on the tip of the ice berg with the dinar gaining value VERY soon. The head of the Central Bank of Iran: The removal of four zero points from the national currency is very small The head of the Central Bank of Iran said the process of removing four Zeros was a matter of apparent and nominal, saying that this is a very small task for the Central Bank. / Abdel Nasser Hemmati on the sidelines of today's meeting (Wednesday, January 19), according to Spotnik. Told reporters: "To facilitate things, we need to reduce some of the costs and match our national currency with international currencies, and now the correlation of our national currency with foreign currencies needs to be corrected." He added: The exchange rate of our national currency is very high with other currencies. We made a suggestion in this regard and the government should investigate ... Iran’s central bank proposes slashing four zeros from falling currency Iran's cabinet members, President Hassan Rouhani and Ali Akbar Salehi, during a meeting. (Hamed Malekpour/Tasnim News Agency) January 08, 2019 Iran’s central bank has proposed slashing four zeros from the rial, state news agency IRNA reported on Sunday, after the currency plunged in a year marked by an economic crisis fueled by US sanctions. “A bill to remove four zeros from the national currency was presented to the government by the central bank yesterday and I hope this matter can be concluded as soon as possible,” IRNA quoted central bank Gov. Abdolnaser Hemmati as saying. Proposals to remove four zeros from the currency have been floated since 2008, but the idea has gained strength as the rial lost more than 60 percent of its value in 2018 despite a recent recovery engineered by the central bank in defiance of US sanctions. The currency was trading at about 110,000 rials per US dollar on the unofficial market on Sunday, according to foreign exchange websites. President Donald Trump reimposed US sanctions on Iran last year after pulling out of world powers’ 2015 nuclear deal with Tehran. Washington has vowed “maximum pressure” on Iran’s economy to force it to accept tougher limits on its nuclear and missile programs. Iran has ruled this out. ADVERTISEMENT Rial weakness disrupted Iran’s foreign trade last year and helped boost annual inflation fourfold to nearly 40 percent in November. The weak currency and galloping inflation have been a complaint of sporadic street protests since late 2017. After approval by the government, the proposed currency plan would have to be passed by Parliament and approved by the clerical body that vets legislation before it takes effect. ——— © 2019 the Arab News (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia) Distributed by Tribune Content Agency, LLC. https://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=2&nv=1&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=auto&sp=nmt4&tl=en&u=https://ir.sputniknews.com/iran/201901094334881/&xid=17259,15700021,15700124,15700186,15700190,15700201,15700237,15700242,15700248&usg=ALkJrhiUiU_9eu30l1hRYHd7xPgE-TsB_g Edited January 10, 2019 by dinarbeleiver
DWS112
The largest deletion of zeros in the history of currencies ( IRAN ) 1/09/2019 Is this crazy? The largest deletions of zeros in history RT The Central Bank of Iran has proposed the deletion of four zeros from its besieged currency (riyal), according to Reuters, as it lost more than 60% of its value in 2018. Governments usually delete zeros when their currency loses purchasing power rather than issuing large categories of currency. The issue of canceling zeros is not new in Iran. It was preceded by Venezuela when it deleted 5 zeros and Iraq, which has already deleted zero zeros from Iraqi dinars. Turkey eliminated 6 zeros in 2003.
