Arab newspapers diagnose the solution of the crisis in Iraq

[Ayna-Baghdad]
Arab newspapers discussed the continued demonstrations of angry Iraqis from the deterioration of services and corruption and demanding political changes in the country.

Demonstrations were renewed Friday in a number of Iraqi cities, including Baghdad.
At least one demonstrator was killed and several others detained in demonstrations in the southern Iraqi city of Diwaniyah.
A number of writers and newspapers put forward views on how to end the crisis.
Under the heading "The only solution to Iraq's crises," As'ad Abd Allah 'Abd al-'Ali wrote in the Iraqi newspaper Sawt al-Iraq, "Iraq boils and the masses fill the streets. I went out to express their anger and anger at the entire political class. The injustice is unbearable. , Since the era of Saddam and Jaafari followed by Maliki and finally Abbadi. "
The writer called for "the eradication of the current political class ... and the declaration of a person who has the confidence of the religious authority to form an interim government. Its first mission is to fight the spoilers, solve the housing crisis, health, education and unemployment in a period of four years.
"As long as the marginalization remains, silencing the protesters is repressive or peaceful," Neven Massaad warned in the Egyptian daily Al-Ahram. "It does not mean putting out the fire. It will start again at any moment, especially during the crisis."
"The solution to the problem requires proper diagnosis ... The Basra government has raised the list of 26 demands, the number D of its magnitude, and unless the center deals with these demands seriously, not the policy of calm until the storm passes, the south will remain the cradle of the Iraqi protests."
The editorial of the newspaper [Gulf] UAE that "Iran increases its intervention in Iraq, through the export of new troubles to the Iraqis, in order to block the formation of the new government, after the parties lost their first word, and became a pariah of a large segment of Iraqis, Their country from its Arab surroundings. "
The newspaper said that "the events taking place in southern Iraq ... reflect an internal tension fueled by behaviors provided by the Iranian government, described by an Iraqi official as 'political blackmail', after revealing the recent Iran to cut off electricity imported from the cities of southern Iraq.
Similarly, Elias Harfoush told Asharq Al-Awsat that "it is difficult to separate the logistical side in the demonstrations in southern Iraq from the political side and the Iranian pressure exerted on Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi. It is also difficult not to stop at the timing of these demonstrations, Iran decided to stop supplying electricity to Iraq at the height of the hot summer season, which contributed directly to ignite the recent protests. "
Hamid al-Kilani also criticized the ruling parties in Iraq in an article in the newspaper [the Arabs] of London, he said that "the weakness of the ruling parties is their subordination to the jurist, ideological dependency beyond the homeland and the refusal to surrender to his sectarian project in the region, These parties the possibility of turning Iraq, land and people, to the attached to the Iranian Embassy in Baghdad. "
In another context, Walid al-Zubaidi wondered in the newspaper [Al Watan] Oman on "the motives of the Arab media ignoring the wave of large and wide demonstrations that continue in many cities of Iraq."
"Some believe that this deliberate disregard by the various Arab media demonstrates that the draft of the invasion and occupation of Iraq, which led to the destruction and destruction of this country, continues with the same cruelty and barbarity, and that this occupation was very regrettable from the Arab countries and their media with unrivaled support. "He said.
In contrast, Abbas al-Sabbagh in the newspaper [Sabah] Iraqi that "a lot of media channels and means of social communication gave a different picture of the reality, which was portrayed as a civil war and that Iraq is on the brink of chaos and chaos does not keep, and it is a war between parties Under the margin of the election and the start of the formation of the government expected, led to a confused and distorted message to the international community after it contributed to the confusion in the Iraqi street by fabricating fabricated news about events that were not the picture that occurred or did not occur at all.

Resorting to protests as a solution to defend rights and express opinions may be deemed as an important step taken by any people to announce their anger over pressures practiced by governments.

The Iraqi citizens have been antagonized by the government's wrong policies and the lack of services provided to them.

They, thus, blow up and decided to take to streets to express their rejection to the government's system, under the slogan of "We will not stand idly anymore to defend our rights".

The corruptive governments are always afraid of protests and expressing opinions, as was the case with the government of Haider al-Abadi, which has intensified its efforts to contain the current protests as soon as possible before the official announcement of manual recounting of votes results that are expected to be announced next week.

Malicious intentions behind Abadi's decisions

Well-informed sources at the Iraqi Cabinet told The Baghdad Post that Premier Abadi is trying to suppress demonstrations currently staged in southern Iraq before the official announcement of the Parliamentary election results, indicating that the protests have weakened Al-Abadi's endeavors to win second term in office.

The current protests were also staged against Abadi's political opponents such as Nuri al-Maliki, Hadi al-Amri, whose parties' headquarters consumed massive fire by the demonstrators.

The sources added that the Prime Minister decided to establish employment offices in the southern cities, including Basra, Najaf and Karbala.

Such a step aimed to find more jobs for the graduated young people and thus contain the current discontent displayed by the Iraqi youth.

The sources pointed out that the Prime Minister aspires to get a truce even only for ten days, noting that Abadi is currently holding calls with some tribal leaders and religious dignitaries, who refused to respond to his call.

Hadi al-Amiri proves his own failure:

The current wave of demonstrations has forced the Iranian-allied Hadi Al-Amiri, head of Fatah Alliance, to admit that all political blocs failed to provide basic elements of a decent life for the Iraqi citizen, run the state properly over the last 15 years.

He added that these blocs contented themselves only by competing with themselves for reaching higher positions paying no due regard to the interest of Iraqi citizens.

Amiri added that the Iraqi’s apathy to participate in elections and staging protests constitute a strong message to the political blocs, who should seriously review and consider it to avoid dragging the country into new age of crises and conflicts.

Obsessions with elections and panic of policies

In another vein, all political blocs are awaiting the results of manual recounting of votes, expected to be announced next week.

All these blocs are endeavoring to form alliances that pave the way ahead of the coming government.

A source told The Baghdad Post that the political blocs are in panic due to the current wave of demonstrations staged by thousands of Iraqis, who now seek to form new alliances to force the authorities to meet their demands.

It is obvious that these blocs will seek to meet the demands of protesters in order to keep them under the state’s control and avoid dragging the country into a massive revolution that overthrows all politicians.

Helsinki summit and the international conflict

With regard to the international and regional levels, the Iranian-American conflict remains the biggest challenge in the Iraqi politics, especially after the recent summit between the Russian and American presidents in Helsinki last week.

If the Iraqi file was included within the files discussed in the talks of the two presidents, the results of these discussions will be clearly reflected in the formation in the coming Iraqi government.

Author: Yasser Metwally

22/7/2018 12:00 AM

Now the financial and economic adviser to the Prime Minister revealed a surplus achieved in the public budget as a result of the improvement in oil prices globally, and that the financial crisis ended, according to the adviser with the demise caused by the face of a concerted aggression.
Then the new government next will sit at the beginning of its formation on the throne of financial abundance that enables it to rebuild Iraq again and start providing basic services needed by the citizen and this direction needs to rational management of funds and cut the road to corruption and spoilers the main obstacle to delay construction and decline.
And that the current events that the country is going through the demonstrations represents a strong charge for the next government to work on finding quick solutions to these challenges in order to provide a decent life for citizens.
The basic and legitimate demands of the people can not be achieved overnight, so it is now necessary to prepare the program sober and fast to implement the basic services projects of electricity, water, streets and hygiene, which are essential for a development revolution required to be created now by the relevant technical services not to wait for the formation of the government ,
Because such acts are the core functions of the executive organs and remains the responsibility of the approval by the next government and parliament and that the implementation is ready when the approval of the costs that are supposed to be provided from now and start work on the required configuration according to the possibility V available.
These things require the choice of competent competencies away from other differences to ensure the permanence of
work. Hope and optimism remain in the process of changing the operational policy aspect of services away from any challenges that confuse the reality of work.
We believe that radical solutions require national will and competencies that are capable of achieving them.
It is not enough to wait for a supplementary budget or to rely on this surplus, but we need to work on financial sustainability as well as speed up the service sector and then the productive sector, which is the most important in the sustainability of development.
We hope that these messages will reach those concerned in order to preserve our country and provide the best wishes for our citizens, who deserves all the great attention and attention to the conscious response to the requirements of the loyal people.
