No matter what the train has left the station. The RV is set for a specific date and time which none of us common folk know. So not matter what we see it's moving forward and I believe the switch will be pulled at the appointed time. It will not be much longer.....Adam is right to be excited. Just as we have a lot of fake news and shenanigans going on inside our own government mostly against President Trump. Fake news, protest, etc. Love him or hate him Mr. Trump is still on track delivering promise after promise.

I believe PM Abadi also has his hand on the pulse of the situation and is not shaking in his boots (sandles). Maliki is trying to stir the oil pot but his fate is sealed and he'll be out of the picture soon enough. Just as with any snake you have to know where to grab them so you won't get bit.

The closer we get the worse it seems but in my most humble opinion, it is not as bad as it appears now.

Kazem Awfi al - Budairi

All together, the need for a sincere and honest national voice is needed these days ... When the demonstrations of Basra began, they demanded only services (electricity, water) and work ... but accompanied by the killing of a citizen of Beni Mansour and the wounding of others ... "But what did the government, which claims to be stable, have said, and that the increase in revenues has taken place in the first half of this year by $ 40 billion ... But the question does not indicate what happened to the citizen because of this increase and the revival of tourism.

Now, the state is beginning to call for urgent security measures (does this act accept the needs of the citizens) ... But let us be fair and demand that the government not look for childish and minor practices that have taken place here and there during the protests and that have been condemned by all ... But as a government, Is repeated every year, especially at the end of the summer (Iraqi flame), which has become like the Iraqis bragging ... And frankly realistic solutions provided to the masses protesting, but the government continued to lengthen and waste time by determining positions this opinion fair and that opinion condemned ... But mercy and offered us the government of your solutions Just before the big bang happens to include all of Iraq and we hope that it does not happen ... In memory only in 2007 the local government spent about two and a half trillion dinars on electricity and did not solve its problem ... Do not wait, Party or entity and not even position of reference ... These and others do not relax

In the provision of services to citizens ... The fact that the citizen no longer trusts what justified by the government of non-implementation ... And citizens to continue to put pressure on the government for their real demands and to stay away from the chaos and subversive acts, we understand how the citizen demands services that he destroys and represents public money ... This is unacceptable and not possible ... We do not want to call some demonstrations and purists that they are anarchists (this is not true in Basra, the most conservative provinces that gave their sons a certificate of sacrifice for the sake of Iraq) ... The government of Abadi must respond to the demands of the masses to serve the stability of the country ... And Ri

On Saturday, July 14, 2018, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi issued seven resolutions on the demands of demonstrations in the country, including the dissolution of Najaf airport board.

"In the light of Prime Minister Haid al-Abadi's continued contact with citizens and clans, listening to their demands and following up the ministerial committees, he issued seven decisions," a well-informed source said.

"It was decided to launch allocations Basra (3.5) trillion dinars immediately," adding that "it was also decided to use the absolute allocations to desalinate water and dismantle bottlenecks with electricity networks and provide the necessary health services."

Iraq put security forces on high alert Saturday as protests continued over weak government services and corruption in southern provinces.

Haidar al-Abadi, the prime minister and commander-in-chief of the armed forces, issued the order Friday night in a military directive.

Security sources said the authorities had already sent reinforcements from the anti-terrorism unit and the 9th Army Division to help protect the oil fields in Basra province, where demonstrators gathered for a sixth day in a row.

Abadi's order came in an attempt to control the growing protests on Friday from Basra, where residents closed the port of Umm Qasr, to the cities of Amara, Nasiriyah and Najaf.

Hundreds of protesters stormed the airport on Friday and stopped air traffic in the holy city of Najaf, home to religious shrines.

Supreme Leader Ali al-Sistani expressed his solidarity with the protesters and said they faced "a severe lack of public services" such as electricity amidst stifling temperatures.

Local security sources said dozens of protesters demonstrated on Saturday at the Safwan border crossing with Kuwait and at the entrance to the Majnoon oil field, one of the largest fields in the country and located 40 km north of Basra, but pointed out that the protesters did not enter the facility.

Protesters have gathered in several major oil fields in Basra in recent days.

Oil exports from Basra account for more than 95 percent of the revenues of Iraq, a member of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

Any disruption to production would seriously damage the struggling economy. Oil officials in Basra said protests had not affected crude production.

Observers said that the United States, Russia and Britain will launch a military operation to protect the oil companies operating in Iraq amid ongoing protests witnessed in a number of provinces.

They pointed out that the three countries would intervene militarily if their oil companies or their employees were targeted by Iran Militia in Iraq and Syria (IMIS) terrorists.

The observers stressed that the Iranian plan regarding the isolation of Basra and targeting oil companies there has become well known.

On July 8, protests erupted in Basra against shortage of jobs, electricity, water and basic services.

Observers said that Iran seeks to target British, American and Russian companies in southern Iraq, noting that the three countries will intervene to protect their companies that are being currently targeted by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

They added that protesting in front of oil companies and blocking access to them proves that Iran is determined to spread chaos in Basra, Maysan, Dhi Qar, Najaf and other Iraqi provinces.

The observers said that Iran felt that Ahwaz would hold mass demonstrations this summer, so it turned the attention into Basra.

They added that IRGC's existence on the Kuwaiti border aims to threaten the security of the Gulf and its oil fields, stressing that mullah's regime is trying to implement a plan that aim to withdraw about 15 million barrels of oil from the markets and stop oil exports.

Observers who spoke to The Baghdad Post said that Iran stands behind the protests witnessed in southern Iraq.

They said that Iran is not only responsible for cutting electricity and water in the south, but it also inciting Basra's residents against oil companies operating there because they are not recruiting them.

The observers pointed out that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani threats that process of preventing oil companies in the Gulf from working and exporting their oil would start from southern Iraq prove that Iran is standing behind the crisis.

They called on the government of Haider al-Abadi to respond quickly to the demands of the people of Basra in order to not give Iran the chance to use the situation to destroy Iraq.

Analysts stressed that Iran is playing a "dirty game" as the mullah's regime has promised to spread chaos in the region to disrupt oil sales in the Gulf.

Observers called on Haider al-Abadi's government to protect Iraq from the international intervention to protect foreign oil companies, as well as thwarting Iran's plan that seeks to

Dozens of protesters closed down Umm Qasr Port in the city of Basra on Sunday, a security source said.

Protesters held demonstrations to demand enhanced services and job opportunities.

Iraqi authorities have imposed a curfew in a number of cities.

This comes as sources said the situation in southern Iraq is getting out of control as angry protests are taking control of the provinces. Activists expressed concern the IRGC militia exploits the ongoing turmoil to spread terror and hamper oil transfers.
