Economy News Baghdad:

The Central Bank decided to launch a new form for employees of Iraq who wish to settle their salaries in the banks participating in the project to settle salaries.

The Iraqi government last year launched a project to settle the salaries of its employees in private and government banks to make citizens use electronic payment methods.

The Central Bank of Iraq in a letter addressed to the banks and carrying the signature of the Deputy Governor and the agency of Dr. Munther Abdul Qadir Sheikhli, and obtained by the "economy News," "If the customer feeds his account more than the amount of the salary received is taking the due diligence procedures stipulated in the law AML / CFT No. 39 of 2015 and the regulatory controls numbered 9/1/306 dated 19/9/2016 according to the degree of risk classification of the operations carried out by it. The Central Bank announces its continuation by granting the claimants the amounts of letters of guarantee

BAGHDAD / A source in the Central Bank of Iraq, Thursday 19 July 2018, the continuation of granting the claimants the amounts of letters of guarantee, in accordance with the instructions of the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, and the Committee on Economic Affairs.

The source said in a press statement, "The Central Bank of Iraq, continues to grant letters of guarantee to beneficiaries, if the conditions provided in the letter, which was prepared for it."

He added that "the granting of letters of guarantee, will be in accordance with the instructions of the Economic Affairs Committee reported to the bank, acting on the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, based on the Trade Law No. (30) for the year 1986.

He pointed out that "the letters will be granted in the absence of legal or judicial proceedings against the requesting party."

The source stated that "the decision of the Council of Ministers No. (197) for the year 2017 refers to the adjustment of the balance of letters of guarantee with banks, according to the percentage of achievement achieved explicitly, but the interpretation of the resolution includes continuing to grant letters."
