yota691
The developmental effects of the general population census Tuesday, February 12, 44 Abdul-Zahra Mohammed al-Hindawi The Ministry of Planning announced its intention to implement the General Population Census in 2020, and it has started its preparations for this important event, which is long overdue, through the formation of specialized task forces. These steps of preparedness through the allocation of an appropriate amount within the draft budget for 2019, if approved by the Council MPs. The talk again about the politicization of the census and take it off track, which will hinder the project as aborted in 2010, a few weeks before its launch .. Perhaps the idea of linking the outputs of the census political agendas, the lack of real understanding of the objectives of this vital project, This lack of understanding, if we assume otherwise, it means that there are actual attempts to prevent the implementation of the census! In both cases, it requires disclosure of the real objectives of the census away from political conflicts, and the consequences of those goals of importance without uploading any results related to political reality, as a process, but As results. Yes, it can be said that the general census of the population gives us the real number of the population and thus can calculate the members of the House of Representatives according to those results, otherwise, all the output of the census indicators, but it serves development in the medium and long term, it is a snapshot of a certain reality At a certain moment. By reading the details of this snapshot, the reality of life and the characteristics of the population can be reached in that fact. The calculation of the population density in a precise manner helps to obtain the detailed data of these characteristics, which helps and helps in the process of drawing up economic and developmental plans and policies. To services such as health, education, water, electricity, roads and everything related to the requirements of human life, especially with the rise of Iraq with the international community within the vehicle of sustainable development goals 2030, which calls for the fight against poverty and hunger and the provision of services and preservation of the environment. This will require accurate data to help know what has been achieved and what will be achieved of the goals of sustainable development (17). The census results also contribute to the analysis and assessment of the economic and demographic variables witnessed in Iraq accurately, after 22 years of implementation of the last census in the country in 1997, which was not an integrated census because it did not include the Kurdistan region in At that time. In view of the foregoing, the importance of the general population census, which should be conducted every 10 years, is clearly shown in order to provide a comprehensive and complete real-world database that can be considered over the next 10 years in a moonlit way, rather than relying on predictions and predictions. Such accuracy will be achieved through the various questions contained in the Population and Housing Form, which are prepared by specialized experts, with the technical support and expertise of United Nations organizations, particularly the United Nations Population Fund, which makes us confident that the data will be Minute, short A talk is that the determination of stakeholders use of electronic technologies in the implementation of the census, not as usual using paper, which will ensure the accuracy and speed in reading Results. It is certain that the importance of this level required everyone to work to support the success of the draft population census in the ninth version of the total censuses witnessed by Iraq since 1927, and the fourth census conducted by the Central Bureau of Statistics, the implementation of the census (1927 - 1934 - 1947 - The Ministry of Interior, because we, and quite frankly, if some sought to block the project, we will have to repeat the scenario of 2010, after the completion of all preparations, which included the training of 350 thousand meters and printed about 15 million form and the implementation of numbering and Throughout the country, and all those efforts that have taken place Two years have spent a lot of money on it, but in the end, the census vehicle collided with fabricated files, the purpose of which was to raise them, either ignorantly or deliberately. Now we have to raise the slogan "We promise to prepare." The reality of development, to launch through it tomorrow Best.

SocalDinar
Middle East Iraqi PM discusses long-overdue 2020 census with relevant authorities Kurdistan 24 | 44 minutes ago Share share Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi meets with the Supreme Council for Population in Baghdad, March 6, 2019. (Photo: Prime Minister's press office) Iraq Census Kurdistan Baghdad Kirkuk A+AA- ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – In a meeting with the Supreme Council for Population on Wednesday, Iraq’s Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi discussed preparations to hold the long-overdue general population census in the country in the fall of 2020. According to the Prime Minister’s press office, the implementation stages of the census were discussed, and the proposed plan in that regard was reviewed. “The census is an important step that deserves great attention and preparations at the highest levels and cooperation among all to achieve the desired success,” Abdul-Mahdi said. “The importance of the census is in planning and development and the provision of integrated databases on the economic, social and living conditions of the population.” In January, then-Minister of Planning, Nouri Sabah al-Dulaimi, announced in a statement that the census would begin in 2020, adding preparations had started “to provide all the local and international capabilities for the success” of the massive project. Iraq’s last census was held in 1997 and did not include the Kurdistan Region. More recent counts generally estimate population based on statistics provided by the national food ration program and have often been incomplete in disputed territories. A full accounting of regional populations is crucial for planning and budgeting in any nation. In Iraq, where mass displacement and campaigns of ethnic cleansing have been endemic to conflict for decades, such a survey takes on political significance. Lack of reliable statistics has fueled discord between rival populations claiming majorities in various regions of Iraq, most notably in the oil-rich province of Kirkuk, adding to the difficulty of addressing fundamental disagreements. Article 140 of the Iraqi Constitution provides a legal mechanism to resolve the outcome of the disputed territories, partially based on updated census results. The provision was introduced to allow the 2005 ratification of the constitution by kicking controversial decisions on the disputed territories down the road. Despite complaints by Kurdish parties, no recent census has been able to provide a clear count of the Kurdish population in areas like Kirkuk, and over a decade has passed since the 2007 deadline for the article’s implementation. The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) previously announced that an agreement between Erbil and Baghdad to conduct the census had been reached, for which 50 billion dinars, almost $42 million, had been allocated from the 2019 national budget. http://www.kurdistan24.net/en/news/03f42fc6-df87-4432-9e2d-475d51cabc88
