Planning announces the start of the work of standardization and quality control at border crossings

The Minister of Planning Nouri Sabah al-Dulaimi announced on Sunday the restoration of the standardization and quality control at the border crossings as of tomorrow, stressing the ministry's intention to develop the laboratories of the device and provide him with the modern equipment necessary to perform the tests and monitoring and auditing speed and precision required.
"The Minister of Planning chaired the meeting of the Board of Directors of Standardization and Quality Control in the presence of the advanced owners in the ministry," said a statement from the Ministry of Planning.
During the meeting, the Ministry's work with local, regional and international bodies was clarified to reactivate the work of the standardization and quality control apparatus at the border crossings.
Al-Dulaimi stressed that "the first phase will include activating the work in five border ports, namely, Umm Qasr Al-Shamali, Umm Qasr Al-Janoubi, Safwan, Shalamjah and Trebil." The work in the other border ports will be activated gradually during the last quarter of this year , .
The meeting discussed means of activating the sustainable work of the Authority and the continuous pursuit of a gradual and consistent pace of action with the relevant authorities in the central and local governments and providing the necessary means of support to achieve the objectives of the standardization and quality control system at the national level.
