ISO 4217 Amendment Number 167

According to the Central Bank of Venezuela the planned redenomination of the Venezuelan Bolívar has been postponed for an indefinite period and thus will not be effective from 4 June 2018 as communicated in AMENDMENT NUMBER 166.

When this ends up happening, This is an actual redenomination (RD)(LOP) for Venezuela... Read the attachment.. they are issuing a brand new currency with a new alphabetic 3 digit code... 1 of the new bills will have the same purchasing power as an old bill with 3 extra zeros.. This is obviously what we DON’T want to happen with our IQD.. we need to remember that when the lower denoms are issued, that they are still called IQD and not some other 3 digit code... otherwise the new money will be given its own value, per its own 3 digit code... I hope this isn’t confusing but this is what a LOP looks like. Thank god it’s Venezuela and not Iraq..
