Sherwan Zarrar that the Kurdistan Regional Government allocated 10 billion dinars as a budget for the first phase of the preparations for the parliamentary elections of Kurdistan, and that it is scheduled to be allocated additional funds for the next stages. 

The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, announced last week, that was set on September 30 next date for the legislative elections in the region. 

The parliamentary elections of Kurdistan were postponed more than once because of differences between the political forces in the region. 

The Hendrin Mohammed, head of the Independent High Electoral Commission for the referendum in the Kurdistan Region, said in an earlier statement (Basneoz), that if the date of elections and there was a deadline of 100 days before they can prepare for it well.

Omar al-Barzanji was born in Kirkuk in 1960. He received his bachelor's degree from Baghdad University in 1984. He was appointed ambassador to Iraq at the Vatican in 2017. He served as undersecretary of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry for political affairs and relations from 2015 until 2017. Romania during the period (2013-2015), and was Ambassador of Iraq to Lebanon from February 2009 until May 2013.
