The commission announced that the percentage of participants in the special vote in Erbil until 3:00 pm on Friday, reached 77%, while reached 80% in Duhok, 88% in Halabja and 80% in Sulaymaniyah.
Some 673 candidates are competing for 111 seats, including 11 seats reserved for minorities under the quota system, and the general vote is due to take place in the region on Sunday.

The special vote for members of the Peshmerga forces and internal security forces in the region was launched hours after the end of election campaigns in the four provinces of the Kurdistan Region (Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Dohuk, Halabja) yesterday morning, and the special vote is the first stage of the general parliamentary elections to be held in The region is tomorrow Sunday.

Whaddaya bet, once the results are announced, they'll be howling to the rafters complaining of fraud and rigged elections . . . then 3 or 4 months down the road after mysterious fires and missing files, accusations, finger pointing, show throwing and maybe even assassination attempt ( or 2 ); they MIGHT seat their government.

At some point you need to move on. The election re-count showed minor inconsistencies in the original election and yet resulted in significant delays. The good thing is that it has shown the Iraqi people that so far, everything has been by-the-book and under the Constitution. There are always going to be factions that are not happy with the outcome no matter the results.
