"Despite the PUK's request to postpone the meeting for 24 hours with the aim of reaching an appropriate agreement on overcoming the differences, unfortunately it also took an irresponsible decision and held the meeting in the form we have all seen," the statement said.

He added that "the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan has several observations on the session of parliament, and believes that this step does not serve the progress of the political process with its future prospects in the Kurdistan region and the region."
