when this is all said and done, we all need to figure out what is going on, this still up in the air to me

USA is pushing real hard, threatening Sunni bloc with Iran like sanctions, just crazy

Although we do need a great government body, I do not like any of this at all

JMHO :twocents:

Hang in there since, "The Battle Is The Fiercest When Victory Is The Nearest", NewbieDA, AND The Best Of Your Weekend To You!!! :tiphat:

The hurt is getting much, much worse on the Insanians as time goes on while the Insanians are taking more and more desperate measures. Losing Iraq to a Sovereign State apart from Iran would put the Insanians in a financial and strategic hurt on their Terrorist Machine like nothing else. So, having a Sovereign State of Iraq apart from Iran with the largest bloc being a Pro and Independent Iraq would pretty much be the death knell for the Insanians. To me (conjecture here), once the Pro Iraqi GOI apart from the Insanians is in place, the time likely is more favorable for ReInstating the Iraqi Dinar and rocketing the Iraqi reconstruction, construction, economic development, and foreign investment. This will mean going to an "open economy" with real time transactions and completely shutting down the corrupt CBI week day daily currency auctions the Insanians have been pilfering to fund their Terrorist Machine. Essentially, the Insanians will have all their hands chopped off they have in the Iraqi money machine. Times have never been better since the late 1970s to flip the Mullahs out of Iran (where are they going to go???!!!) and put in a truly people oriented government in Iran for the Iranians while then also Iran being an internationally compatible nation.

Here is another slice to consider. Say the Sovereign and Independent State Of Iraq seats their GOI apart from Insanian inclinations. Then, the flood gate opens into Iraq AND all the other countries to include China, India, and Russia suddenly have an economic opportunity with Iraq having the Iraqi Dinar International. Are these countries going to support Iran???!!! I think not. Besides, China (and many other Countries) will benefit from having the Old Land Based Silk Road Routes reestablished through the Belt And Road Initiative so having a rouge, terrorist regime, nut case Country like Iran flipped to a non terrorist and economically stable Country benefits EVERYBODY!!! So, now and up to November 4 or 5 will be EXTREMELY action packed (when the Insanian oil embargo kicks in) while I suspect all kinds of powerful and crazy news will be viewed as "shock and awe" in a variety of different forms.

Will the Insanians last that long???!!! I dunno. When the Sovereign and Independent GOI of Iraq gets seated, the Insanians will likely see the proverbial "writing on the wall - MENE, MENE, TEKEL, PARSIN" except THE Insanians will be the ones divided from the Mullahs and Iran will be given back to the people.

Daniel 5:25-28 New International Version (NIV)

25 “This is the inscription that was written:

mene, mene, tekel, parsin

26 “Here is what these words mean:

Mene[a]: God has numbered the days of your reign and brought it to an end.

27 Tekel[b]: You have been weighed on the scales and found wanting.

28 Peres[c]: Your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians.”

Footnotes:

  1. Daniel 5:26 Mene can mean numbered or mina (a unit of money).
  2. Daniel 5:27 Tekel can mean weighed or shekel.
  3. Daniel 5:28 Peres (the singular of Parsin) can mean divided or Persia or a half mina or a half shekel.

I find it interesting the Shekel and NOT the Rial or Toman is mentioned here. An Iranian (and Iraqi, too) GOI favorable to the well being of Israel on the way???!!!

So, my opinion is the time frame for "action" (whatever that may be) is getting compressed - weighing in our favor. Times have never been better in Iraq while the populous issues will quell once the Bicraqi Iraqi see their GOI acting in their best interest while we will benefit, too, in this Speculative Investment.

Well, OK, just my conjecture, thoughts, opinion, and :twocents: for whatever THAT is worth!!! Hey, I might be a nut job or somethin'!!! CAVEAT EMPTOR, Reader!!! :o

With the rise of protests in Basra and other cities in Iraq, the political parties are trying to use these protests in the framework of political bargaining, especially the call of the alliance led by Hadi al-Amiri Prime Minister Haider Abadi to resign, while blocking the inability of parliament to absorb the popular anger in Basra.

A report by Al-Arab newspaper (September 7, 2018) that "the interim parliament speaker Mohammed Ali Zinni, called newly elected deputies to hold an emergency session Saturday, to discuss the unrest in the province of Basra in the south of the country . "

A statement issued by the parliament, that "on the request of 54 deputies to hold a special session to discuss the status of Basra, the President of the older meeting to discuss the problems and solutions and recent developments."

He added that "the meeting is scheduled to be held Saturday at 1 pm (local time) will be attended by Prime Minister Haider Abadi and the ministers concerned."

The leader of the Sadrist movement, Moqtada al-Sadr, called Thursday, the newly elected parliament to convene in the presence of Abadi and ministers concerned with public services, to discuss containment of the crisis in Basra .

On the other hand, the Supreme Shiite cleric Ali al-Sistani, the political class in the country .

"We have asked more than once to deal with things in Basra, but we have not been heard. Political leaders are preoccupied with the conflict," said Abdul-Mahdi al-Karbalai, a representative of al-Sistani in a Friday sermon. "The poor performance of senior officials led to corruption."

The report said that "many observers of the Iraqi file are wondering about the usefulness of the emergency meeting, which will be hosted by parliament in light of its inability to continue to resolve the political crisis for many months, especially as the issue of forming a new government is going through difficult labor, especially after the escalated differences between the outgoing Prime Minister, Haider al-Abadi, and a number of leaders of the popular crowd, against the background of the selection of the large bloc eligible to form, while observers are likely to turn these differences into a conflict using the forces of the crowd as a tool in the conflict .

He added that "all indicators indicate that the political parties are employing the protests of Basra in the framework of political bargaining, especially after the alliance invited the armed elements of the armed factions of the Popular Popular Armed Forces in a statement, Prime Minister Haider Abadi to resign immediately against the backdrop of events in the province of Basra and the apparent failure In all files ".

"In another context, Abadi found himself colliding in connection with the crisis in Basra at the invitation of his ally, cleric Moqtada al-Sadr, the House of Representatives to hold an extraordinary session in order to reach a radical solution to health problems and lack of services in Basra .

The first session of the parliament, which was elected in May, was the election of its president on Monday in light of escalating crisis between the parties and interventions from Iran and America.

In Basra, hundreds of angry protesters have set fire to the Iranian consulate, government offices and offices of prominent Shiite parties close to Iran led by Hadi al-Amiri and Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq, led by Qais al-Khazali.

Basra crisis puts Abadi in a confrontation with Sadr

Developments in the political arena

NRT

Unexpected developments have emerged in the Iraqi political scene following the extraordinary parliament session on Saturday to discuss the crisis in southern Basra .

Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi found himself in a difficult position after he relied on his political alliance with a coalition led by Shiite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr to form the largest bloc, and thus named for a second term.

"We ask the prime minister and the cabinet minister to resign and apologize to the Iraqi people," said a spokesman for the alliance of the lawmaker Hassan al-Akoli in the House of Representatives.

Not only Sadr, but Ebadi also lost the second largest winner of the election, the alliance of conquest led by Hadi Amiri, close to Iran.

The spokesman for the opening MP Ahmad al-Asadi that the failure and failure clearly in the crisis in Basra was unanimous by the deputies ... We demand the resignation of the prime minister and ministers immediately.

The announcement came after a special parliamentary session attended by ministers from the government and its president to discuss the situation in the province of Basra, after a week of bloody protests that killed 15 demonstrators, and burning the headquarters of a number of political parties and several government buildings .

Sadr raised in a statement yesterday the possibility of entering into a confrontation with Abadi about the prime minister, although they are key parties in the coalition of "reform and reconstruction," which also includes the leader of the wisdom movement Ammar al-Hakim and leader of the National Coalition Iyad Allawi.

Sadr suddenly offered new conditions to run for prime minister, including the adoption of a rivalry between three candidates, while Abadi was the only candidate for the coalition of "reform and reconstruction."

And on whether this is a shift in the position of Sadr, confirmed his political representative, Jaafar al-Musawi, that "the position of Mr. Sadr is based on the lack of personal support and not rejected unless it has been tried and failed," noting that "the experimenter does not try according to what the religious authority "He said.

He added that "the slaves as a candidate for other candidates where the decision remains in that the largest bloc and according to the directions of reference."

In turn, criticized Nuri al-Maliki parliament session yesterday and said one of the objectives of the meeting, "coverage of the acts of sabotage and crimes" in the province.

"The objectives of calling the House of Representatives have come up in this way, including coverage of acts of vandalism, crimes and attacks on state property, people, political forces and popular mobilization," he said in a series of tweets.

He added that "the movement of the security services was slow and stumbling gave gangs of burning and vandalism full freedom of movement and today will move to cleanse as if to stop gangs of sabotage and the rebel militia group."

To this, the professor of political science at the University of Baghdad, Dr. Khalid Abdul-Ilah that "what is happening in Basra falls within the political conflict between the rival blocs on the formation of the next government as part of the formation of the largest bloc," noting that "the political conflict reached the stages Serious, because it is not a struggle for power only, but is a conflict on oil and ports and the sharing of gains and gains and therefore the solution lies in the removal of all influences for Iraqi political parties, including regional and international interventions.

For his part, the former spokesman for the Iraqi government, Dr. Ali al-Dabbagh said that "it is clear that the demonstrations took a path that reflects not only the popular anger of young desperate and frustrated, who can not find a job and the most basic elements of his life is drinking water in the richest city on earth , This different path that burned state institutions and attacked patients and hospitals targeting all Iraq and angry demonstrators and also reflects the violent internal, regional and international conflict on Iraq.

"If the agendas of Iran and America do not cancel one another in Iraq, we now find a clear polarization in the speeches of politicians who threaten to overthrow the government of their rival within a month if he can form it. This reflects the fact that the agendas were canceled as a result of the development of the conflict between Iran and the United States, At a time when the government can not manage the crisis that has been going on for more than a month and the Prime Minister Abadi could contain the crisis and address it to spare the opportunity to scenes of destruction and the systematic burning of state installations.
