BAGHDAD /

President of the Republic Fuad Masum and his deputy Nuri al-Maliki during their meeting on Saturday, the importance of adhering to the Constitution and respect the will of the voter.

"President of the Republic Fuad Masum met in Baghdad with Vice President Nuri al-Maliki and discussed with him developments of efforts to form the largest parliamentary bloc, which will cost the candidate to form the next government."

She added that "the meeting stressed the need to convene the House of Representatives in its fourth session on the constitutional date and the importance of adhering to the Constitution and respect the will of voters to reform and develop state institutions and the development of services."

She noted that "the meeting also addressed the most important political developments at the national and regional levels."

He should be careful what he wishes for.  The will of most of the voters is to see him wearing a rope necktie.

Just my opinion...

Masoum's a Maliki tool/corruption guy. His picture gives me the creeps every time I see it. He holds a ton of power in his position, but looks out of place in these pictures or something...and never wants to "move forward/take action on his own," etc....but hey, what does Justchecking's "vibe" count for anyway? 🤯

[Baghdad - Ayna]
The Iraqi Islamic Party announced Saturday its position on the nomination of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, for a second term in the next government.
"We look at the alliance of victory led by the prime minister, as a future project not for the person of Abadi," Samarrai said in a statement received by the agency All Iraq.
He added: "I have demanded [Abbadi] to maintain the unity of the [alliance] victory as requested from us."

But the party allowed its members to participate in the elections and the nomination with the blocks they identify, notably Salim al-Jubouri, former parliament speaker.

"Twilight" News / Vice-President of the coalition, "Saron" Nazem Abadi, on Sunday, provided consultations with the Kurdish and Sunni blocs, to join the "Saron" in the formation of the largest bloc.

"The discussions and understandings reached advanced stages with all the winning blocs, because the understandings built between us on the basis of the national constants and controls set by the Iraqi leader, Moqtada al-Sadr."

He added that "it can be said that one of the most important controls followed by the alliance with other blocs, is not to set the conditions of party or factional may lead to a halt in the wheel of understandings in the future, but was adopted Sadr's document, after consensus within the coalition to take into account the public interest, Our partners in the homeland agreed on our national approach with the openness of the Sadr and its conditions. "

"As we can add that the alliance of others to put forward a program, not a candidate for prime minister or any other government post, and thus provided a safe environment to attract the rest of the blocks, with the element of confidence, because of Sadr's adoption of the subject personally, the project enjoys his leadership, And became a positive factor in the understandings to establish a new political reality. "

He pointed out that "the most important thing is the way out of the impasse reached by the political file, as well as rising public anger at the failure of successive governments, and thus the alliance and provide a solution to save the country and reform the reality, as well as the reform of the realities of blocs and parties as we propose a code of honor, As well as the Sadr document, which organizes a platform for the solution and out of the tunnel failure and dark corruption.

Abadi stressed that "it is possible to say that the nucleus of the block of saving the homeland and with us the wisdom, patriotism and victory, as there is an understanding and continued with the alliance of Kurdish forces and parties, to reach the final details to draw a comprehensive map of the next coalition that will lead the formation of the new government."

He expected that "join the block to save the homeland, members of the rule of law, because there is no red line on them, except Maliki himself, because we have a reservation on his performance during his lean years, as I expect that will join some of the brothers of the Alliance of conquest," noting that " Of the national axis, or all of them will join the rescue of the homeland, except Khamis Dagger, because of reservations about his person, his previous political positions.

He stressed that "since 2012, Muqtada al-Sadr established a good relationship with the Kurdish brothers, when he traveled to Erbil, on a mission called (the noble goal of the visit of Erbil), and despite the media uproar against that national step, Sadr succeeded in laying the foundation of trust and friendship Between him and the Kurds, and that confidence is the cornerstone of the understandings today between the alliance and the parties and Kurdish parties. "

He noted that "Based on the data that we have already talked about, may be the announcement of the largest mass in the coming hours, and will be the formation of the government of the rescue of the country of the competencies of fair working under the strict control of others and the block to save the homeland."
