Sadr refuses to ally with al-Maliki and thwart the scheme «Daqi» to target Baghdad

The Political Bureau of the leader of the Sadrists in Iraq, Moqtada al-Sadr said that the alliance with the leader of a coalition of state law, Nuri al-Maliki , to form a new government is unlikely.

Sadr said in a statement that al-Maliki bears legal responsibility for what happened in Mosul and other cities of Iraq, when it fell into the hands of a preacher, as he was prime minister and commander-in-chief of the armed forces.

He pointed out that the selection of ministers subject to specific controls and mechanisms, hinting that the decision to hand over al-Maliki a ministerial portfolio in the next government will not be the decision of the alliance «Saron».

In the context, said Dia al-Asadi, official of the Political Bureau of the leader of the Sadrist movement that the latter and other political blocs required the Haider Abadi resign from the membership of the «Dawa» to run for the post of prime minister for a second term.

Al-Asadi said in an interview with the Anatolia news agency on Saturday that "Abadi's resignation from the Dawa Party is a demand by most of the political blocs to be the one to take over this post as president of all of Iraq and its belonging to all of Iraq."

In the meantime, the Iraqi Central Investigation Court revealed the frustration of a terrorist plot to organize «Daqash» to target the capital Baghdad known as «the invasion of Ramadan».

"The efforts of the Central Investigation Court, which specializes in terrorism and organized crime, have thwarted a major terrorist plot for Daish, known as the" Ramadan Invasion, "in which he intended to target Baghdad, Supreme Judicial Council spokesman Abdul Sattar Birqdar said in a statement.

He said the attack was planned to take place on June 10, coinciding with the first anniversary of the fall of the city of Mosul, however.

In addition, hundreds of demonstrators in the province of Basra yesterday to block the road leading to the port of «Shalamjah» border with Iran to protest the deterioration of services.

Witnesses said that hundreds of people of the Shatt al-Arab district cut the road to the port of Shalamjah east of Basra and prevented the movement of civil and government vehicles demanding the provision of services and create jobs for the unemployed.

In the same context, the Iraqi security forces shot at angry protesters tried to storm a large oil field in Basra.

A colonel in the local police, who asked not to be identified because he was not authorized to report to the media, said protesters were angry at lack of services and lack of employment. They tried to storm West Qurna 2, run by Russia's Lukoil.

The political bureau of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Moqtada al-Sadr, that he required the current Iraqi Prime Minister, Haider Abadi, to resign from the membership of the "Dawa" in return for his nomination for a second term.
"The resignation of Abadi from the Dawa Party represents a demand by most of the political blocs, as well as by Muqtada al-Sadr, that the person who takes over this post is President of all of Iraq and its belonging to all of Iraq. "
"We have an experience that most officials when they take on a certain responsibility, their association with their party affects their work, and shows the influence of the party is evident in some joints."
Al-Asadi continued: "At this sensitive stage, Iraq needs to address many problems, and we need a personality that enjoys independence and strength, and the administration practices high denial, and this will only happen if the official enjoys independence from his party and its component."
The official revealed that "there is an understanding between the five blocks" against the backdrop of the last parliamentary elections, which are "asrun" backed by the Sadrists 54 seats out of 329 in the House of Representatives, and "victory" led by Abadi 42 seats, and "conquest" Popular "led by Hadi al-Ameri 47 seats, and" wisdom "led by Ammar al-Hakim 19 seats, and" national "led by Iyad Allawi 21 seats.
"Asadi pointed out that" the coming days may witness a meeting between the parties mentioned, leading to the formation of the nucleus of the largest bloc that will form the government. "
Despite the news of the understanding between the 5 blocs, but the question of the choice of candidate for prime minister is still pending, especially since Sadr, who is the biggest winner in the House elections on June 12, can not take the post of prime minister, because he did not run But the victory of his bloc gives him a strong position in the negotiations to choose who will take office, and observers are likely to play a key role in forming the new government.

Abadi between the Dawa Party and a second term

Iraq needs a strong personality

The leader of the Sadrist movement, Dia al-Asadi, that the leader of the current Moqtada al-Sadr and other political bloc required the Prime Minister Haider Abadi resign from the membership of the Dawa Party for his nomination to head the government, pointing to the existence of external interventions to influence the next government.

Al-Asadi said in a press statement on July 12, 2018 that the resignation of Abadi from the Dawa Party "demand from the demands of most of the political blocs, as well as Muqtada al-Sadr, to be received this post as president of all Iraq and its belonging to all of Iraq," according to the Turkish Anatolia Agency.

"We have an experience that most officials when they assume a certain responsibility, their association with their party affects their work and shows the party's influence is evident in some joints," he said.

Al-Asadi stressed "Iraq's need at this sensitive stage to address many of the problems, and to a personality that is independent and strong and the administration practices a high denial, and this will only happen if the official enjoys independence from his party and its component."

And the nature of political alliances in Iraq, he said that "are not based on visions and political programs or historical understandings, as happens in some countries, but almost alliances of interests, the political process was built on this basis."

"We are trying to find a new pattern of alliances in line with the reform project, expected to form a large bloc within parliament, which will be charged with forming a government, before the ratification of the results of the election days.

Al-Asadi revealed the understandings between the five blocs; they are Souron (backed by the Sadrists), victory (led by Prime Minister Haider Abadi 42 seats), Fatah (which includes the popular crowd led by Hadi al-Ameri 47 seats) and wisdom (led by Ammar al-Hakim 19 seats) And the national (led by Iyad Allawi 21 seats).

It is likely that the coming days will witness a meeting between the parties mentioned, which may lead to the formation of the nucleus of the largest bloc that will form the government .

The Sadrists are trying to play a key role in forming the new government after the parliamentary elections that took place on 12 May last, winning 54 seats out of 329 .

This preference does not entitle the Sadrist movement to form a government alone, but to enter into alliances with other blocs on the grounds that the government must have the confidence of the majority of the members of parliament (165 deputies).

Sadr is also seeking to break the country's traditional alliances and form an alliance capable of further reforming the country after a tumultuous war with a three-year-old (2014-2017) organization.

However, this task will not be easy, as the data reveal.

To me this is the best news.  Abadi and Sadr will bring this home.  Yes, Sadr has always been anti-USA, but he has always been pro Iraqi people and getting oil profits to the people. With these two teaming up, I feel we will get Maliki in the ground and HCL/RV post haste.  JMHO.  Im liking these election results big time.

As I sit here and ponder this. It reminds me of the 70s Miami Dolphins. Larry Czonka would carry it down the field and then Jim Kick would carry it into the endzone. Guess who got the credit. At this point I could care less who gets the credit, I just want some action.

Great analogy. I remember the Dolphins well in the 70’s, fantastic games. Bob Grisie, Mercury Morris, Paul Warfield, etc, really enjoyed watching that team play. Thanks for the reminder. 😊

Former Prime Minister of Iraq Nouri al-Maliki threatened civil war if Islamic Dawa Party, Victory Alliance and State of Law Coalition did not receive what he called their right in assuming the head of cabinet position.

Maliki made his threat in a meeting with a delegation from the city of Basra at a time when the city is witnessing mass demonstrations calling for enhanced services and job opportunities for large numbers of unemployed young people, fueled by Iran's cutting of water and electricity of the city, in addition to bulldozing palm groves and converting them into residential land for the benefit of influential parties.

Meanwhile, there have been changes to the map of alliances between the winning political parties in the legislative elections, under Iranian supervision, to form the largest bloc in parliament.

According to sources, leaders of Islamic Dawa Party Maliki and Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi reached an agreement with Leader of Iran-backed Badr militia Hadi Al-Amiri to form a tripartite alliance combining the State of Law Coalition, Fatah Coalition and Victory Alliance.

Image1_7201814133637377561719.png

For his part, Member of State of Law Coalition Mohammed Majid said the differences between Maliki and Abadi were resolved, after they reached an understanding on the candidate for the post of head of the next government, pointing out that the Leader of Fatah Coalition Hadi Al-Amiri expressed his readiness to quit Saairun Alliance, which is supported by Leader of Sadrist Movement Moqtada al-Sadr.

Meanwhile, the political bureau of Sadr explained that there will be no alliance with Maliki to form a new government, adding that he is responsible for the fall of the city of Mosul and other cities of Iraq into the hands of ISIS, as he was Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces at that time.

Image1_7201814133714520389416.png

The bureau also pointed out that the selection of ministers is subject to specific controls and mechanisms, hinting that the decision to hand Maliki a ministerial portfolio in the next government will not be the decision of Saairun Alliance.

Experts told The Baghdad Post that uncertainty looms around the coming period in Iraq, especially after Maliki's threats of a civil war unless he assumes the head of the cabinet. At the same time, millions of Iraqis will not be silent if the government was handed to Islamic Dawa Party again, especially as it is the most corrupt party in Iraq.

I can’t believe I’m even reading this garbage.  Why is the US, the UN, SA, and the EU, allowing this Iranian puppet to create mayhem.  Especially when Iraq is trying to form a government.  His plan is so transparent.

1.  Complain about fraud in the election process

2.  Set ballots on fire

3. Demand a recount

4. Organize protests

5. Divisive Rhetoric to incite Civil War.

Now we know where some of his money is going.  To pay off media and other real roosters to create chaos.

Throw is sorry butt in jail, right where he belongs
