It is known that those who would like to compete in the elections to reach the parliament, uses different propaganda methods, and leads campaigns for that, but an Iraqi candidate managed to get more than 7 thousand votes and won a seat of deputies from the capital Baghdad without it.
The former member of the Center for Global Energy Studies in London, Dr. Mohammed Ali Zinni, managed to win the elections without any billboard in the streets, nor any election propaganda in the satellite channels did not spend millions and did not hold any tribal meeting, and even the electoral sequence was not distinctive and only printed paper publications On his own account, explaining his autobiography, walking alone among the alleys of Baghdad to announce his election program, and was able to get the love and confidence of voters, and won as a deputy in the Iraqi parliament.
Mohammed Ali Zinni, who was nominated for the Civic Democratic Alliance, is a pioneer in scientific activities. He received several academic degrees from British and American universities, most notably a PhD in oil economics from the University of Colorado in the United States in the 1970s. The Gulf states have a lot of literature concerning the oil situation in the Gulf.
Zinni was nominated in the 2010 elections, but despite receiving more than 6,000 votes, this number did not qualify him to parliament, the sectarian and ethnic strife that was going through the political process at the time.
According to the Iraqi constitution, the first session of the new parliament will be run by the oldest winner, so that Zinni, born in Najaf in 1939, will be the first speaker of the next parliament.

Al-Sadr: The next executive branch has to build the foundations of justice, not shortcomings

By Rudao 3 hours ago

ROWADO - Erbil

: The leader of the Sadrist movement, Moqtada al-Sadr, said Monday that the next executive branch should build the foundations of justice and welfare rather than walls and walls, after the coalition issued parliamentary elections held on May 12.

The alliance of "Saron", supported by Muqtada al-Sadr, ranked first with 54 seats, followed by the "Al-Fateh" alliance of political factions of the popular mobilization factions led by Hadi al-Ameri with 47 seats, and then the coalition of "victory" led by Prime Minister Haider Abadi with 42 seats .

Al-Sadr said in a statement on his Twitter page: "After the people have built their vote in the legislative power, and through the wonderful electoral saga, the next executive branch must build the people's foundations of justice, prosperity and safety, not build walls and walls" .

"Both the green walls (the walls of the Green Zone in central Baghdad), both for corruption, are both for partisan, and both for popping shots."

"You have to break the barrel of the gun, and the noise of war stands."

Although Sadr's alliance results in the election, it will not be able to form the next government alone, and needs to ally with other winning blocs to achieve the required majority in parliament.

But the indications suggest that Sadr will play a key role in forming the next government, especially the choice of prime minister.

Sadr says he will work to form a new Iraqi government, composed of technocratic ministers away from the ruling political elite accused of corruption.

Since the overthrow of the former Iraqi regime in 2003, the Shiites take over the presidency, while the Kurds occupy the presidency of the republic, and the year the presidency of parliament.

According to the constitution, Iraqi President Fuad Masum will call the new parliament to convene within 15 days of the announcement of the final results, where the new deputies will be elected speaker of parliament, and two deputies by an absolute majority in the first meeting.

The parliament will elect a new president of the republic by a two-thirds majority of deputies within 30 days of the first meeting, and then assigns the new president candidate of the largest bloc in parliament to form a government.

The prime minister-designate will have 30 days to form the government and submit it to parliament for approval

So far, the hesitation continues to dominate the scene of alliances between the blocs winning the last election, which is supported by sources familiar with the progress of the talks to not resolve the Prime Minister Haider Abadi, his position on the conditions of other blocs, to join it in an alliance form the largest bloc.

Meanwhile, prominent leaders of the Islamic Dawa Party are trying to revive a previous agreement between the two wings of Abadi and Maliki to heal after the elections to begin joining the victory coalition to a nearly complete alliance between the state of law and Fatah. But the sources pointed out that Abadi insists on not to proceed with this alliance without guaranteeing a second term in the premiership, which is not accepted by his predecessor, Maliki so far.

As for the parallel alliance, which represents a coalition that is based on its nucleus, the rapprochement between it and the wisdom, and the last meeting that al-Sadr gathered in Abadi, all these data indicate advanced understandings between these parties, which may lead to the announcement of the largest bloc. Through this announcement.

These constraints, according to sources, are the conditions of the chest that he placed before Abbadi to approve the latter taking over the leadership of the government again, which forced him to get out of the cloak of the Islamic Dawa Party and give assurances to investigate files of corruption, including major political leaders.

In this hesitation and non-resolving positions, another conflict emerges between the advocates of a government by a purely Iraqi decision and a vacuum that will cause direct intervention by the regional and international powers in the formation of the next government.

The sources considered that this «comes as an apparent implementation of previous understandings between the two sides and cut the way for the efforts of the Dawa Party to revive previous understandings between the wings of al-Maliki and Abadi within the party, to prevent the loss of the post of prime minister.

Maybe it is just me but I think this is a SMOKIN' (:cigar:) statement by the likely to be reappointed Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi. Sadr was also noted in one of the articles above that Iraq will be Sovereign apart from external entities. Hopefully this is a reference to booting all of the Iranian influences out of Iraq to include the IRGC and Qassem Soleimani.

Ali al-Alaaq was noted as saying the currency reform implementation was waiting on the right environment for implementation. I suspect this is one of the main, if not the only remaining, considerations for the currency reform to be implemented.

So, this may exclude Hosyhar Zebari and Massoud Barzani while for sure Nouri al-Maliki.

All in all, the way this is all shaping up for, the new Iraqi government, we may just be in the best position possible to get the key items implemented at lightning speed to include the currency reform!

An Iraqi political source close to the " coalition of state law ," led by former Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, that the coalition "not satisfied", the recent meetings that brought together the leader of the " Sadrists ", Moqtada al-Sadr, the leaders of  coalitions and political blocs winner in the elections .
The source explained that Maliki's coalition "is surprised to repeat these meetings in a remarkable manner during the past two days, without being directed to any leaders of the" state of law, "explaining to the" new Arab "that" this clearly indicates that the coalition has become outside the accounts of political leaders combined "He said.

He pointed out that "the coalition of the rule of law" is looking with concern to the meeting, which gathered the head of the alliance, "the conquest" of the militia, "popular mobilization" Hadi al-Ameri in the chest, "noting that the coalition" was relying until recently on the alliance with Amiri to form a large bloc capable of The competition of the "Suron" and "Al-Nasr" alliances.

He said that Maliki's coalition , which won 25 parliamentary seats, still believes that "it represents a difficult figure in the political equation, which led others to work to ignore and exclude from participation in the new government."

The leader of the "coalition of state law," Saad Almtalibi, said that meetings between political leaders are "an attempt to confuse the arena, and to show the coalition as politically isolated," noting that "these meetings do not reflect the existence of understandings and agreements."
He pointed out that the "real dialogues for the formation of the Great Bloc are taking place in secret," explaining, during a press statement, that "all meetings of the leader of the" Sadrist movement "in Baghdad and Najaf, are only public protocol meetings.

Al-Mutlaibi said in a previous interview that any dialogue with Sadr's alliance would be opened because of the "proximity of the current from Saudi Arabia" and distancing him from the "axis of resistance." He pointed out that Nouri al-Maliki "is still in the process of promoting a majority government Political. "

On the other hand, a member of the alliance, "Asron , " Ahmed Tamimi, that "the coalition of the rule of law" has become outside the accounts of the political game in Iraq, indicating, in an interview for the "new Arab", that the 25 seats obtained by al-Maliki make up only 7% Of the members of parliament.

Al-Tamimi pointed out that the alliance "Ssron" drew his link towards the big coalitions winning the elections, unlikely to participate in any political bloc includes "the rule of law," because of the red lines of the former "Sadrist" on Maliki.

The leader of the alliance, "Saron", Ayman al-Shammari, to confirm the existence of "Vito" on the alliance "Open" and "coalition of the rule of law," noting that "" Saron "open to all other alliances.
