US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo confirmed Thursday his country's support for Iraq and its new government in all fields.

This came in a telephone call received by Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi from Pompeo, according to a statement issued by his office on October 25, 2018.

The statement said that Pompeo congratulated the Prime Minister on the occasion of obtaining the confidence of the House of Representatives, and the formation of the government .
