via the US national security adviser, John Bolton, was delighted agreement to resume the export of Kirkuk between the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Region "partially", adding: "This is the first promising to return to 2017 levels by step." 

"We are pleased with the agreement between the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Regional Government to partially resume Kirkuk oil exports," Bolton said in a tweet on Twitter. 

"This is a promising first step back to 2017 levels," he said. 

"Lost revenues and services can be restored to the Iraqi people and Iraq is an independent energy state," he said. 

In the context, the official of the Department of Foreign Relations in the Kurdistan Regional Government, Falah Mustafa with the envoy of US President, Brett McGork, the export of Kirkuk oil and coordination on the security of the region.

"The two sides discussed cooperation between Baghdad and Erbil, and the agenda of the meeting included the resumption of the export of Kirkuk oil through the pipeline of the Kurdistan Region and coordination on enhancing security and supporting minorities," McGork said in a tweet on Twitter. 

"We talked about several new and hopeful opportunities for deeper coordination between Baghdad and Erbil," he said. 

The official spokesman for the Iraqi Oil Ministry, Assem Jihad, earlier Friday, resume the export of oil from Kirkuk through the pipelines of the Kurdistan region after a halt for more than a year. 

"Jihad resumed the export of oil from Kirkuk on Friday, to the Turkish port of Ceyhan through the pipelines of the Kurdistan region at the rate of 50-100 thousand barrels per day." 

For its part, announced the Iraqi Oil Ministry, that the export and marketing of Kirkuk oil will be through the company Sumo and the rate of 50-100 thousand barrels per day.

It is noteworthy that the rate of export of Kirkuk oil through the Kurdistan Region has reached about 300 thousand barrels per day during 2017. 

The United States against the export of Kirkuk oil to Iran, especially after the recent sanctions, and therefore announced its support for the settlement of differences between Erbil and Baghdad and the export of oil through Turkey.

US special envoy to the International Anti-Da'ish Coalition, Brett McGurk, met at the US State Department on Thursday with Falah Mustafa, the official of the Kurdistan Regional Government's Foreign Relations Department.

"I was pleased to receive Falah Mustafa at my office at the State Department on Thursday," McGork wrote on his official Twitter account.

During the meeting, he discussed recent developments in the relations between Erbil and Baghdad, including the re-export of Kirkuk oil through the Kurdistan Region, as well as cooperation between the security services in Erbil and Baghdad, and the protection of minority rights.

PM to visit Washington after a trip to Paris: MP Mohan

Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi is set to visit the United States soon, news outlets reported on Sunday.

The timeline of premier’s trip has not been officially released yet.

Mahdi is expected to meet with President Donald Trump to discuss developments in the region and issues of mutual concern.

MP Jasim Mohan confirmed that Mahdi will possibly visit Paris first and then flies to Washington.

A statement from the Prime Minister's Office received by "Economy News" said he had received a call from the US Treasury Secretary to discuss boosting cooperation between the two countries in various fields. 
The statement quoted the US Secretary of State as confirming the commitment of the United States and the US Treasury Department to support Iraq and strengthen bilateral relations. Stressing his desire to meet Abdul Mahdi.

The media office of Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi announced on Monday that the latter received a telephone call from US Treasury Secretary Stephen Menuchin.

Stephen Menuchin reiterated the commitment of the United States and the Treasury to support Iraq and strengthen bilateral relations, said a statement from the office. Stressing his desire to meet Adel Abdul Mahdi.

"During the contacts, the two sides discussed enhancing cooperation between the two countries in various fields," the statement said.

"The prime minister stressed the importance of continued international support for Iraq," the statement said.

US President Donald Trump has said he plans to visit Iraq and Afghanistan in the future.

"I have several plans, including visiting US soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan," Trump said in an interview with FoxNews television.

The US president declined to disclose the timing of his visit for security reasons.

Trump has been president of the United States for two years and so far has not visited Iraq.

Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi on Monday assured US Treasury Secretary Stephen Menuchin of the importance of continuing international support for Iraq. 
"The Prime Minister, Adel Abdul Mahdi, received today a telephone call from US Treasury Secretary Stephen Menuchin," Abdulmahdi said in a statement received by Mawazine News. 
"During the meeting, the two sides discussed enhancing cooperation between the two countries in various fields," the office said. 
The Prime Minister, according to the statement, "the importance of continued international support for Iraq." 
For his part, Stephen Menuchin expressed his desire to "Adel Abdul Mahdi," stressing "the commitment of the United States and the Treasury to support Iraq and strengthen bilateral relations."
