I doubt a revaluation will ever take place.

Recommended Posts

I've been in this for quite some time now, and I watch the value of the Dinar every day, so far, it fluctuates as wildly as an out of control rollercoaster that is unable to be stopped.

So many "Experts" are out here and telling us that they possess "insider information" and that their "sources" have given them intel that we can't know, all we need to do is be available by the phone at this time on this date, that I don't know if I believe any of this anymore.

I would love to feel comfortable with the prospect of a revaluation, but ith dollar sitting in such a precarious situation, I doubt that the Dinar is going to stand a chance against the attacks that the dollar is facing. We have to be honest about this; it does seem like er are wasting our time here, but I am in it for the long haul, after all, patience is the only way for some investments to pay off. But are we certain that this one is still worth using the energy to exercise this quality?

Can anyone else, say that they have been waiting for what seems like an unusually long period of time, for something that was billed as a "sure thing" so long ago?

I would bet that you got on this roller-coaster for the same reason that ALL of us did..... that we didn't believe that it would happen, but if it did, we wanted to be on the take side,  But it hasn't happened and we wren't surprised, but are we going to bail ? Not on your life. If you TRULY believe that it will never happened, you would have sold out and forgot all about the Dinar.... But you're still here and , like ALL of us, still hoping. You just wanted to vent your frustration, and that is good. The important thing is that you are healthy and happy. Many are not as fortunate. PEACE !

Hi kru377!

This is and always has been a speculative investment and has never been about speculative investors. When I decided to acquire Iraqi Dinar in 2010, I knew and decided this likely will go a very long time and I could lose ALL my investment. I believed then as I do now (more than ever) there is a huge potential with the Iraqi Dinar. To me, the prospects are currently very bright. Sure, this whole thing could go south while I do believe that due to the nature of Iraq’s location and vast resources other than oil this speculative investment is reasonably solid and will very likely be profitable for speculative investors

Nothing to bet the farm on. The farm is needed to live and pay the bills. However, for venture personal resources, this investment is well worth the consideration and, to me, participation.

All said, this speculative investment is not for everyone. Every individual would need to consider their own needs and, if opportunity affords, their level of participation in this speculative investment long term - even now. Some should and should have likely stayed out of this investment. Some may have wanted to test the waters and then got out on their own discretion and needs. While others were willing and capable to stay in the investment no matter what for the long haul.

No one knows the timing, extent of value, or if anything positive will occur with this speculative investment. This speculative investment is not about me. So, we all need to be aware of what this speculative investment could mean with regard to our individual mettle. Caveat Emptor!

Hope this helps.

Just my thoughts, opinion, and :twocents:

My pessimism is based on the latest information coming out of the region makes it appear that the Dnar might be abandoned for another form of currency and most speculators will be left out in the cold.

My point is made on the fluctuation profile, it's so wild at times, and it never goes into positive territory that gives a feeling of confidence, I'm in it for the long run, but that doesn't mean that I'm not seeing a trend that is not a bit disturbing to me.

I do thank each for their input, but still, we can all read a currency exchange chart.

I have friends who keep asking me about when the R.V.  will happen, and a few of them spend a lot of time on the phone listening to "experts" who up until now, have known nothing at all about what's really going on. All I want is to be able to give them and myself, a little bit to go on other than the info they keep getting from these "sources". So again, thanks for the input.

For each insult, I simply SMH and wonder why I ever ask questions in the first place. I didn't insult anyone else on this site, and after coming here just for some info, I have a low tolerance for the bull of others. I am in it to win it, my inquiries are to alleviate the fears of a few friends who are having problems in being patient and believing that this isn't just another scam.

Thanks for the support though, it really means a lot that someone would see cogent questions as a reason to ridicule.

Ease up a bit, you'll be a happier person.

If you don't want to add something positive to the conversation, be adult enough to leave it alone. See? No problem, pilgrim. :cowboy::moneybag::facepalm2::facepalm:

If the issue about the Dinar  is too much for you  just sell it or give it away. Then you can  focus on something else.

I have been in this for 9 years. For myself I learned a long time ago that there is no top secret intell, no experts, no sources. Once I accepted this as fact my stress over when an RV was going to happen went away. What I have come to realize is that my only responsibility in this investment was when I purchased Dinar. That's it. Nothing more. I keep tabs on it now and then but I no longer check in on a daily basis. I value my peace of mind. Do I believe that there will be an increase in value? YES! The bottom line is Iraq is moving to their own plan and they don't give two s**** about us and what we want. Far as my friends in this, I tell them to quit listening to all these so called experts because there are none! When it happens it happens, The cardinal rule in investing is not to let yourself get emotionally attached to it. This is what helped me.

Gee kru, I must have missed something, I did not detect any sarcasm in the responses. One made a very correct and enlightened statement of fact about a speculative investment, which it is and we all knew it going in, and the other offered to buy anyone's dinar if they wanted to bail on the investment. seems pretty respectful to me, but that's JMHO.

Could You share this information with us kru377? So far, there DOES NOT appear to be this type of information in the Iraqi news outlet posted here. With the variety of different topics and amount of information on any one topic that somewhere Iraq abandoning the dinar for another form of currency would be noted. For Iraq to abandon the dinar, this would cause at least some chaos locally and internationally.

Why would only "most" speculators be left out in the cold in this scenario of Iraq abandoning the dinar for another form of currency and not "all" speculators?

I suspect there will be prolific news about the lower denominations at the onset of the revaluation which has not been out in the Iraqi news media, yet, that is the same dinar basis as is now and going forward with a yet to be announced way of exchanging the larger denominations for the lower ones. I have not seen any news of the Gulf Coast Council (various Middle Eastern countries) deciding to implement a unified currency similar to the Euro.

If You have this ACTUAL (no rumor) information, please share it otherwise state the information is only hearsay or rumor.

That's the point, this is the info that my friends keep getting for their sources, and then they pile on me to give them the straight dope. I tell them to just hang on to the stuff and wait it out, I can't tell them anything other than what its value is at the moment, but my phone rings all day with frantic requests for news.

I'm not the one who skeptical, (at least not more so than usual) so for me to be told by someone here that I should let it go and be happy, was a bit insulting to me. I only asked for any new info that I might not have heard in order to pass it along to my friends. I know it could take a few more years.

I have heard on youtube something about Iraq might change to a gold-backed economy, if that's anything new to anyone.

Parliamentary Finance: The budget needs the intervention of the Federal Court to end the dispute

Wednesday 28 March 2018 | 10:27 am

Parliamentary Finance - The budget needs the intervention of the Federal Court to end the disputeBAGHDAD / The Federal Finance Committee confirmed on Wednesday that the Federal Budget Law now requires the intervention of the Federal Court to resolve the ongoing dispute between the Presidency of the Republic, the Parliament and the Government.

The committee member Ahmed Hama told “Iraq News” that “the Presidency of the Republic, the Federal Budget Law to Parliament on 13 of this month to intercept 21 articles in accordance with our meeting with the adviser to the President yesterday, he made clear that there is a determination of the President not to vote on The budget without modifying the articles objected, which includes violations of constitutional and legal, “noting that” the re-budget by the Presidency of the Parliament to the presidency without an amendment, did not put a solution to divorce because the two parties are not responsible for the amendment, but the amendment comes from the government. ”

He added that “this dispute between the three authorities and the lack of responsibility of Parliament and the Presidency of the Republic to make an amendment to the draft budget, it requires the provision of an explanation to the Federal Court by one of the deputies and therefore is the one to decide the matter and resolve the dispute and accelerate the end of the debate on the draft budget.”

On March 13, President Fuad Masoum rejected the 2018 budget and ordered it to be returned to the House of Representatives.

The Presidency of the Republic said in a statement that infallible “decided to return the draft (the Federal Budget Law of the Republic of Iraq for the fiscal year 2018) and voted by the Council on 3/3/2018, to the House of Representatives for the revision of form and content of the constitutional, legal and financial, The existence of about 31 points intersect with the legislation in force. ”

The Bureau explained that “the re-budget came after the experts and legal and financial advisers studied and scrutinized in detail to diagnose the most important constitutional, legal and financial irregularities of some of the articles or items or paragraphs that need to be addressed before ratification as well as to address any imbalance in its formulations.

The House of Representatives decided in its meeting on Monday, the re-law of the federal budget for the year 2018 to the Presidency of the Republic.

The House of Representatives voted, in its session held on Saturday (March 3, 2018) on the federal budget for the current fiscal year by boycotting the Kurdish deputies .. Ended 3

I am sorry to hear about Your friends but my opinion is You shouldn't have to endure this unless You misled them to begin with regarding this investment with the timing and the anticipated benefit.

Maybe have a very frank discussion with each of Your friends about this speculative investment and what mettle it requires of them to either continue in or get out since You will no longer address their "distress" calls being perturbed by some idiot guru fixated on emotionally distressing listeners/readers for their own pleasure. If You were overly optimistic, maybe apologize. End of day, THEY are responsible for THEIR actions NOT YOU for their emotional upsets.

Also, to be frank, no one here can give You or Your friends any degree of confidence in what will happen or when. The choice to engage or disengage this speculative investment is an individual decision and NOT someone else's responsibility to pacify personal emotional swings.

Any conference calls should be immediately stopped.

Any youtube presentations should be taken for information only, with the source(s) considered, and validated with information from authentic source(s).

CBI week day daily currency auctions are currently the way they do things in a "closed economy" and will stop when Iraq goes to an "open economy".

The market currency exchange rate You provided is not the most recent one and the latest market currency exchange is nominally better (closer to the CBI rate) while this information is in the Iraqi News section.

The budget issue is typical of the dysfunctional Iraqi GOI processes. After some bellerin' and hollarin' something will get done.

Maybe instead of taking things as an insult, take things on advice instead. No one here has any degree of comfort or discomfort more than other members. No one should provide comfort for circumstances or emotional distresses specifically related to this speculative investment. it is what it is and no one here or any dinar venue can do anything about THAT.

Thank You for the information and Best Regards as You bring the needed perspective to Your friends!

It was they who brought the dinar info to me. I just study it more. They thought that it would happen in a few weeks, so they went a bit wild and purchased more than they could actually afford at the time. I was the one who told them to ease up, but like I said, they purchased by borrowing from others and borrowing payday loans. I tried to, no, I begged them to slow down, and now, I'm the focus of their anxiety about the RV.

With your title like it is....No WONDER you have the negatives you do now.  You do not see the good news I guess....out of chapter 7, mcp ending this month according to an article...what else do you need?

My title? Oh, that's a reference to a point on the map, it has nothing to do with my attitude or my being negative, (which I am not!) I am waiting patiently, my friends are the ones who are panicking. Oh well, it's not important, no one seems to know the point, so I'll let it go at that. Did I say this in an incomprehensible way? I asked for some info based on my friend's feeling antsy about the Dinar RV. I know it will take time, but convincing them has been the problem.

I don't know when or if this will happen, but I'm waiting it out, like everyone else.

are we clear on this now? I was merely asking a question, but I've been maligned and dispelled because of this, I guess this forum is not as open-minded as I thought.

I'm out, for now, peace for all!

Gold fever always kills the mind. I know people who have gone broke spending their life savings and going into debt over this investment. They were thinking it was going to revalue week after week after week. Fast forward to now and the news is the same but the people that are still in the game are here for the long haul and are more even keeled.

Slow down. Don't invest what you can't afford to lose. And dream about what you will spend the money on if it does revalue. Me? Its a blue water trawler and island bound.

I have a suggestion, for you  Kru377, let me say ,this .there are no experts in this investment! Nobody knows any more than the next guy about this investment, after 10 years in this I figured that out after being in this 6 months! All anyone has is the news and information that the GOI puts out. That simple! You have to study it and make the best educated decision you can! Let me repeat NoBODY knows nothing!!! There are people like Adam and Mr Synopsis plus others on this site that have a real good handle on this investment! This is currency, you might lose some, but not all your money! It’s not a get rich scheme! I have made up my mind I’m staying till the end one way or the other! My suggestion is first quit talking to your so called friends and listening to who ever your listening to! From I what gather from your writing here they are negative people! Lose them ! If that don’t work for you get a hold of all them and let them know you have a buyer, I will buy up to 10 million of your dinars for $500.00 a million usd. I m In Texas pm here . There problem solved for you! Your friends you don’t lose all your money and then you never have to hear the word dinar ever again! P. M.  me ! Respectfully  Submitted  :tiphat:

It always amazes me when you try to help someone out and they give you a negative. The problem is that you allow this to exist in your life. If your friends are driving you insane then cut them loose. Just because you can not get the answer you like doesn't make the ones you get any less true. Like I said before NOBODY KNOWS NOTHING PERIOD! You ask for an adult conversation yet you are the one that needs to grow up. Everyone here tried to help you. Not one insulted or ridiculed you. Enjoy your chaos.
