What level of support do you give the Students? Irregardless of what is being said on both sides of the aisle, what level of rights (2A) are you willing to give away?

 

I have said it before and I will say it again...the LEFT is illogical in their call for the reduction of 2A rights on the one hand, and yet they argue this Administration is a Fascist, Nazi Administration. Why would you want to give more of your freedom and rights to a Fascist Government? 

 

I am looking for honest and non-1-liners here, PLEASE!

I say more than half of these students have no idea what the Constitution stands for...in fact they are fighting against their rights that are intended to protect, in fact they have no knowledge why they are really marching, their ignorance does more harm than good.

Why do You continually avoid the specific base issue I noted which is no amount of additional gun control laws would have avoided this incident? Also, why do You avoid the associated specific issue is the intent of the protestors was to inflame emotions instead of using reason and logic?

 

If people want to assemble, it should be based on principle and not to inflame emotions especially since they can not articulate what benefit will ACTUALLY occur if their emotional demands were met. What they are advocating will not make anyone safer.

 

If Communists assemble, are YOU, BostonAngler, OK with THAT? Would YOU, BostonAngler, join THEM? Communism is for the most part entirely opposed to what The Declaration Of Independence was articulated to address for the grievances imposed on the people. A Government institution is not the repository of the Freedoms enjoyed in The Land Of The Free AND The Home Of The Brave. The respository of the said Freedoms are the moral disposition of and possession by the True Patriots Of The United States Of America.

I support the students Constitutional 1st Amendment Rights to speak freely without the fear of having their words and visuals altered in an attempt to discredit them.  I support the same Constitutional 1st Amendment Rights of those with dissenting opinions, with the altering of words and visuals by any students being off limits.  Truthful dialogue should be the path to any common ground solution.  With or without the massacres that continue to happen at a seemingly regular pace, people will always have different opinions on which weapons and their accompanying product alterations they think should be constitutionally protected....that will never change.  The students may be on a knee jerk reactionary trail right now, but I'm in no position to question their motives, for I've never cowered under a desk while indiscriminate killing happened around me.....so I tend to give them the benefit of the doubt.  What it comes down to is enforcing the laws on the books, not the laws the NRA says they support while greasing the pockets of A+ rated politicians to make sure those laws are never enforced.  As always, just my opinion.  Those that want to be short sighted and view my opinion as that of a commie, feel free....it's your right.

It was their right, as is the right of these more recent marchers...  As one who always brings in the constitution, I am surprised that you have issues with this most recent gathering of Americans.... If you were around when the uprising happened in Boston and witnessed The Boston Tea Party, you would have called those patriots terrorist. Shame on you... Your true colors are showing...

Absolutely not.....but A10 Warthogs, military fighting aircraft of all types, tanks, laws rockets, etc....YES.  Now if you can introduce me to any ninja that can take out 17 people scattered about a building in the same amount of time as an AR-15, then perhaps I'll need to revisit the knife issue.  All cars must be registered and driver's licenses must be acquired pursuant to law....same goes for personal aircraft.  And when eyesight becomes an issue, those licenses are history.  Can the same be said for guns?  I guess if a person needs a bump stock to take down a deer....they should probably stick to trapping.    In the end, I have no issues with reasonable weaponry, as long as background checks, mental stability and registration is attained lawfully.  As an Army veteran, I can tell you that not every brother in arms should have had a weapon in his/her hands....some people just can't handle weapons responsibly.  As always, just my opinions.

I agree caz it is all about sick people... Too bad our government has cut spending on mental institutions... In the old days a lot of these crazies would have been put away... I have a friend whose wife manages a state institute, and because of reduced funding on the state and federal level, they have to let more crazies out everyday... I guess spending trillions on more bombs and planes to protect Europe and the Middle East is more important than protecting America from the whack jobs we know should not be on the streets... Maybe if you are deemed insane, we should enlist you into the armed services and send you off to Afghanistan to protect the world...
