Kurdish parties plan to dismiss Barzani and the "Salvation Government" negotiate Baghdad

The Kurdish street in particular awaits the expected statement bythe president of the Kurdistan region of Iraq Massoud Barzani, scheduled hours after now, to talk about the events of the military and the loss of the region of what is known as the "holy of Kurds," the city of Kirkuk and more than 15 areas and other cities controlled by Iraqi forces during the past hours .

This comes amid mounting accusations of treachery and recklessness, and the Kurdish parties have blamed each other for what they saw as a great loss to the region and an insult directed at them from Baghdad .

According to Kurdish political sources spoke with the "new Arab", the parties of the Union and change are a special program includes the demand to declare a rescue government in the region, and the dismissal of the current government, and the name of the new head of the region instead of Massoud Barzani to negotiate with Baghdad, pending the organization of new elections.

They stressed that the move was supported by Baghdad and Iran , and strongly, while it is not clear the American position so far to squeeze Erbil at a very narrow angle, is expected to lead eventually to the loss of its most important ally in Iraq or at least weaken it.

The Kurdish divisions were not the result of the accelerated events at the present time, especially after the Iraqi forces took control of Kirkuk recently and the withdrawal of Peshmerga forces of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Talabani wing, and handing over their positions to the Iraqi forces.

The divisions date back to the sixties of the last century and culminated in the beginning of 1994, where the armed conflict between the parties began and Massoud Barzani's use of the regime of the late Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and Jalal Talabani regime Khomeini in Iran, which lasted several years and left thousands of dead and wounded on both sides, With a peace agreement sponsored by France, the United States and the United Nations.

The internal divisions between the two Kurdish parties, the Democratic Party and the PUK, began to return to the surface before the referendum on secession was held on September 25, when voices appeared in the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), the Talabani faction rejecting the referendum.

The break-in of the city of Kirkuk by the Iraqi forces, the first of yesterday, these political differences between the Kurdish parties to the public, when the Peshmerga forces of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan withdrew from their positions to receive the Iraqi forces and the "popular crowd," what the supporters of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Massoud Barzani great betrayal.

Observers considered the withdrawal of the Peshmerga revenge of a student Barzani of what he did in 1996

"

Political analyst Abdul Qadir al-Zubaidi said: "These divisions have returned again before the referendum held on September 25, and there were voices rejecting the referendum and a call to wait, but these differences were revealed during the storming of Iraqi forces to Kirkuk yesterday," when troops withdrew The Peshmerga of the National Union Party led by the late, Jalal Talabani, and handed over its positions to Iraqi forces and the popular crowd, a stab in the back of their rival Massoud Barzani.

Observers considered what was a reprisal of a student Barzani what he did to them in 1996, when he appealed to President Saddam Hussein to save Erbil from the control of the Taliban, to send the latter Iraqi forces that expelled the forces of Talabani backed by Iran at the time and restored power to Barzani.

According to al-Zubaidi, "the Barzani wing in Erbil" is considered what happened in Kirkuk from the delivery of military sites and areas without fighting by the forces of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, "Talabani's wing in Sulaymaniyah," a major betrayal of the Kurdish dream and the future of the Kurds in Iraq and the region, Overthrow the dream of the Kurdish state. "

Peshmerga forces and officers in the Peshmerga forces appeared on local Kurdish satellite channels accusing the Peshmerga forces of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan in Sulaymaniyah of "treason" after handing over their positions to Iraqi forces without fighting, indicating the extent of internal Kurdish differences.

The General Command of the Peshmerga forces accused an armed faction of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) of treason after its fighters surrendered their positions to Iraqi forces in Kirkuk without fighting.

The sharp differences between the two prominent Kurdish parties led Qasim Soleimani to Sulaymaniyah just days before he stormed the city of Kirkuk and held secret talks with the National Union Party led by the wife of late President Jalal Talabani and his son, Pavel, who was said to be the godfather of the Kirkuk handover deal to Iraqi forces and the crowd. Popular.

The statement of the dissident leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Barham Saleh, yesterday, to reveal more about the extent of political differences between Kurdish leaders, calling for the formation of a transitional government in the Kurdistan region to conduct dialogue with Baghdad.

Saleh called for the formation of a transitional government, saying it was an urgent solution to the dialogue between the representatives of the people of Kurdistan and the government of Baghdad, which analysts considered a sign of a sharp Kurdish political split.

Kurdish popular circles are talking about the differences between the Kurdish leaders after the Iraqi forces completely control Kirkuk without fighting and the accusations of betrayal that it brings back the memory to 1994 when a bitter war broke out between the Kurdish factions and parties which has raised the fears of the Kurdish people, fearing the outbreak of armed conflicts against the background. Recent divisions.

In a dramatic de-escalation of recent hostilities in Iraqi Kurdistan, where in a blitz campaign the Iraqi army was able to recapture Kirkuk , effectively regaining control of the oil-rich region, the Kurdish Peshmerga forces, i.e. the army of the autonomous region of Iraqi Kurdistan told Sky News Arabia that it has agreed to return to the 2003 Iraq border, which if confirmed would be a major concession to Iraq which has been pushing for just this conclusion for the past month.

The opportunistic Kurdistan Regional Government increased its territory by at least 40% during the war with Islamic State, bringing many of these disputed areas under its control after the Iraqi army withdrew in the face of advancing ISIS militants. However, as Iraqi forces and pro-govt militias have already regained control of many of these areas, including Kirkuk, over the past 48 hours, the Iraqi Kurdistan region had no other choice. According to the Kurdish news service Rudaw, the pre-2003 borders "exclude disputed areas such as Kirkuk, Khanaqin, Tuz Khurmatu, Makhmour, and Zumar from the Kurdistan Region."

The head of the Kurdistan region Massoud Barzani, on Tuesday, a letter is considered the first statement after the imposition of Baghdad control of Kirkuk, and said:

'Throughout history, the people of Kurdistan have always been under the influence of threat and injustice and the deprivation of their rights. The people of Kurdistan have defended this identity for many years, and have been subjected to genocide, the most recent of which was the brutal attack of a terrorist against the Kurdistan and the Genocide. However, the people of Kurdistan never wanted to be the initiators of the fighting and their demands were always in the light of a peaceful solution. The steps of this people were also in this context. We did not respond to the war but it was imposed on us and we did not take any initiative but for peaceful solutions in order to stay and reach our goals, and our basic goals have always been the rights of the people of Kurdistan and its security and safety.

Barzani said in his letter that 'what happened in the battle of Kirkuk, was the result of a unilateral decision taken by some individuals from the internal political party in Kurdistan, and the result of this decision resulted in the withdrawal of the Peshmerga forces in this manner and the way everyone saw, and as a result of this withdrawal turned the line of agreement, Before the process of liberation Mosul in 2016/10/17 between Baghdad and Arbil to the basis of understanding on how to deploy Iraqi forces and troops in the Kurdistan Region.

Barzani said, 'We assure the people of Kurdistan and assure them that we will exert all our efforts and will do whatever is necessary in order to preserve our gains and protect the security and stability of the people of Kurdistan.

And we emphasize today to maintain the unity of the class and the steadfastness of the people of Kurdistan and the political forces and call on media organizations to act in general and out of a sense of national responsibility and national in dealing with the sensitive situation of the Kurdistan region and Iraq.
The great people of Kurdistan, O sincere masses, O Peshmerga heroes, Our courageous Bishmara, O people of our martyrs, the righteous

Incidentally, at the start of September, Rudaw reported that Baghdad wants the Kurdistan Region to withdraw from disputed areas and return to pre-2003 borders between the autonomous region and Iraq, said Kurdistan President Masoud Barzani. At the time Barzani vowed that the Peshmerga will not retreat from any areas that were taken "with the blood of fallen soldiers." It took one month for him to change his tune.

Barzani said at the time that the planned independence referendum can work as a peaceful tool to settle outstanding issues between Erbil and Baghdad. In retrospect it turned out to be an epic disaster for the Kurdish autonomous region, which is about to lose a substantial portion of its territories.

Meanwhile, the Iraqi recalamation of Kirkuk appears to have gone without bloodshed, with US Coalition forces stating that aside from one incident of "miscommunication" no further reports of armed conflict between ISF-Kurdish Peshmerga.

Thank You, BlueSkyLine, for bringing this and all the other Great Articles over!!! The Best Of Your Evening To You!!! :tiphat:

I could be totally off my rocker here but I think this smacks of some kind of HCL in the works. With Kurdistan having relinquished all the disputed areas, what is left but to resolve the Article 140, HCL, and other outstanding constitutional issues? This full court press by Abadi et al has really, really made headway. Looks like more is in the works to line up with the total retaking of the remaining ISIS areas that apparently won't take long at all!  Looks like Syria is wrapping up nicely, too, so any ISIS structures will likely be summarily removed to include ISIS income generating structures in Syria and Iraq.

Yeah, I'm feelin' a little :backflip:   :backflip:   :backflip: !!!!!!!

YEAH, BABY!!!...............................................

Go Moola Nova!

Holy Shiite! The Talabanis out of left field, blind side Barzani with a left right combo and then a straight right cross for a KO in the final round. Talabaninhas been sitting there this whole time waiting to play his one card,(control over the Peshmerga forces in Sulaymaniyah)

the first thing he did was look like a hero for deploying his troops so quickly in response to Abadis declaration of a federal takeover. Barzani never saw it coming. They stood fast until the federal troops got there, and proceeded with a peaceful transition of authority. In return Talabanis son Pavel negotiated the payment of the Peshmerga troops in Sulaymaniyah be paid by the federal government.

I tell ya what, I think maybe Abadi had Pavel in his pocket the whole time, knowing that Barzani would circle the wagons and The troops in Sulaymaniyah would be the ones to be deployed to defend the disputed territory. That make the most sense to me because Abadi turned his hat around like Stallone in over the top and Abadi turned int Abadass. He put the full court press on Barzani with the air of a man who knows he is going to win. He knew exactly what Barzani move would be, defend the territory, don't back down, show them your serious. Abadi read Barzani like a children's book. He took the disputed territory back without any violence. Abadi was playing chess, Barzani was playing checkers.

Abadi has my vote for time magazine man of the year
