The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) announced on Saturday the imminent return of the Peshmerga forces to Kirkuk province and the disputed areas.

"There are talks and agreement between the Iraqi Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Peshmerga, for the purpose of the redeployment of the Peshmerga forces in the province of Kirkuk, and the disputed areas," MP Syruan Mirza told Trend News.

Mirza added that "a joint security delegation between Baghdad and Erbil visited the disputed areas, to prepare a report including the return of joint security points including the Iraqi federal forces and Peshmerga forces."

The MP from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan that "there is a real intention and direction to resolve the issue of the administration of disputed areas of a joint force, and the coming days, will witness the redeployment of Peshmerga forces in Kirkuk and disputed areas, according to the agreement between the Iraqi defense and the Ministry of Peshmerga.

A Kurdish source said on Sunday that the federal government sent 522 billion dinars to the Kurdistan region.
The source said in an interview with / Mawazin News / "This amount is the value of salaries of employees of the region for this month."
He added that "the government will continue to send salaries of staff of the region in accordance with Law No. 12 on the staff of the state."
