Why are we still hearing from this guy is beyond me.

Maliki is dead meat Chuck imo, if Abadi can’t put some lead between his eyes, he will destroy him in the elections and win a second term, then is when I believe that Abadi will make a serious bid to go after him and hopefully put him away, indefinitely.

I could be wrong, but, this is much more complicated then it seems. Easy for us to say “let’s just whack this idiot” but, perhaps tptb must unfold their plan with a more strategic frame, and strike at the precise moment.

Either way, Maliki toppling Abadi in the elections won’t happen, not if the rest of the world has anything to say about it ;)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend bro  :twothumbs:

Trust you both are having a great weekend. I am with you on this and agree with your view point. To me, it is just mind boggling that everyone knows that his guy is so corrupt and stole billions of dollars,  When Interpol issued those warrants, his name should have been at the head of the list and arrest that Monday. Basically unreal we are still dealing with this guy.

Parliament votes last breath .. Deputies entrust the Council for their preoccupation with election campaigns

Trend Press - Baghdad

In practice, the work of the House of Representatives has ended in the current session, and MPs are moving with determination not seen in the parliamentary sessions to their election campaigns, which is scheduled to begin on April 10, although they started early before that date. MPs are leaving 23 laws ready to vote, including the Oil and Gas Act, the Federal Court and other laws such as the Olympic Committee Act, the Sports Clubs Act and the Engineers Syndicate Act. The general budget was the last law to be passed after a draw and pull.

The deputies ruled out the possibility of holding a new session of the House of Representatives quorum completed, considering the completion of the quorum is very difficult. While the Kurdistan Democratic Party bloc called on the Speaker of the House of Representatives to announce the end of the current parliamentary session and allowed the candidates to start their election campaigns.

In the opinion of the MP for the National Alliance Amer winner «This behavior is incorrect and unconstitutional, while confirming that the remaining laws are not a priority, despite the importance. The winner said: "The work of the House of Representatives officially ends on April 30, while the campaign begins on April 10." He added: «The quorum was not completed in the last two sessions and attended the provincial deputies while not attended the deputies of Baghdad». Explaining that «the meeting was postponed and I do not think it will be held again». The winner continued: «This is a short duty to the voter, and the deputies have worked to absent to block the passage of important decisions and laws and this is unconstitutional», and that «there is no in the Constitution or the rules of procedure so-called breaking the quorum, has addressed the Presidency of the matter and the response was Boycott the political position », and stressed: the MP to attend the meeting to express his opinion and not to be absent.

For his part, considered the writer and media Manhal Morshedi that the majority of deputies linked to their personal and partisan interests only, describing the performance of the parliament in all sessions of the negative, but also that important laws were passed at this session. "The justification for the lack of quorum is strange, because the deputies are busy with the election campaign, and so they provide a bad excuse that allows the citizen to reconsider," al-Murshidi said. "We do not bring anything new if we say that the majority of MPs are linked to their personal and partisan interests." A thousand times the entitlement of representation, as well as the link of many of them regional agendas », explaining the existence of a regional plan in coordination with political parties to influence the elections, whether political money or media support. "Parliamentary courses are generally negative and unsuccessful, but a number of important laws have been passed at this session," he said.

It is noteworthy that the House of Representatives postponed its meeting, which was supposed to be held last Thursday to another notice after being unable to hold due to the lack of quorum. C

Baghdad News -

Ali Jassem

Iraqi elections are of utmost importance to the American administration. Fifteen years ago, Washington had an active and supportive presence for the sustainability of Iraqi democracy, although some believe that this presence is a negative factor affecting the Iraqi political map, but today, fifteen years later, The future and what form of Iraq, which seeks to support and how we can determine the features of US foreign policy on candidates for the upcoming Iraqi elections?

The philosophy of US policy changes with the changing international data, especially as the rules of the American diplomatic work changed under President Donald Trump, and became a tweet of one of the tramp on Twitter able to change the face of the world, Twitter slashed the rules of political work and diplomatic protocols, especially as most tweets posted on Twitter is sincere It is not counterfeited because of the difficulty of it.

Through my personal follow-up to what is posted on Twitter and how American officials deal with tweets, especially from Iraqi personalities, I discovered that the administration's interest in the Iraqi elections has changed dramatically. One of the candidates for the legislative elections the principles of his campaign is to uphold the unity of Iraq and its people and renounce all forms of sectarian pride and national identity of Iraq and placed in the first place and respect the Iraqi constitution and abide by its principles, and posted on the page of bit In less than an hour of publication, President Donald Trump has given admiration to the tweet. What is remarkable is that the candidate Rahim Alawi al-Saadi is not a distinguishing feature of Iraqi politics compared to the heavy and well-known names. I discovered his political background

I think that Trump's admiration of an unnamed Iraqi candidate is an important step for the same candidate, who cleverly summed up his principles on issues of interest to Iraqis and the world at large. Everyone renounces sectarianism, respects Iraqi national identity, and asserts adherence to the constitution, Is a good indication that the next phase will witness the entry of new young blood into the parliament. It also indicates that US policy in Iraq is moving towards three issues (renouncing sectarianism, respect for Iraqi identity and adherence to the constitution).
