The British Prime Minister is on her way to the capital Baghdad on a surprise visit as part of a regional tour in the Middle East, during which she visited Saudi Arabia and Jordan.

"British Prime Minister Teresa Mae will soon arrive in Baghdad for an undeclared visit," a government source told Mawazine News.

He said he would meet Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi and other officials in the Iraqi government to discuss relations between the two countries and the political and security situation in Iraq and the region.

British Prime Minister Theresa Mae left London on Tuesday for a three-day visit to Saudi Arabia and Jordan as part of efforts to strengthen British relations.

May held talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman before heading to Jordan where she met King Abdullah and Prime Minister Hani al-Mulqi.

"This tour shows that Britain is determined to create a confident and bold future for ourselves in the world, while the EU is leaving," said a spokesman for May.

"Britain's security interest clearly requires Iraq and Saudi Arabia to support regional challenges to create a more stable region and to implement their ambitious reform programs to ensure their stability," he said.

Theresa May was a big supporter of the EU. When Hillarious screwed up the Middle East, millions of refugees from the middle east walked into Europe. The public reacted, and part of that reaction was rejecting the EU, in the Brexit vote. That's why Theresa May is so keen on peace in the middle east. Same with the French and German leaders. They know that an unstable middle east means their plans to integrate Europe will fail. That's why they are so keen to help Iraq. That's why she is showing up in Baghdad. With the main European leaders realizing this and supporting stability in the middle east, for their own political interests, I am more sure than ever, that this thing will succeed. Dinar investors will make a load of money, on this thing. We're almost there. She would not come, unless something big was in the works. Hold on to your bolar hat, Mr. Steed....

Hey you are right....no doubt but these people did not WANT to leave they HAD to, to survive. I think that once the ME is a safer place most will want to return. Not all....some are young and have no good memories of their homeland...which is sad.

I hope that May is there to help make it a place the WANT to return to.

Nice having conversation with ya Fly!

The British Ambassador to Iraq, John Wilks, announced that the Arab Gulf States are ready to support the Iraqi private sector in the coming period.
Wilks said in his speech at the Financial Services and Investment Conference that “the Prime Minister Haider Abadi during his meeting with the British Prime Minister in Baghdad asked to support Iraq through the entry of British investors to Iraq and work to develop.
He added that “many donor countries and the Gulf countries have a desire to help Iraq and support the private sector in the next phase in the reconstruction of the affected areas.”
He pointed out that “moving the Iraqi economy is through the establishment of small and medium enterprises.”

“Iraq is on the stage of construction and reconstruction and investment”???!!!

:backflip:       :backflip:       :backflip:

What possibly could Abadi mean by THAT???!!!

I could be way off but I still think the IQD revalue would need to occur before major reconstruction and foreign investment gets underway since I am thinking Iraq would need to go to an open economy with their IQD out of trade restrictions as a full WTO partner so there are no impediments to raising the Iraqi citizen’s standard of living to prevent sectarian violence and Civil War. The closed economy where IQD is exchanged for USD to pay international obligations would be a huge drag especially with the current corruption. I suspect this corruption is being cleaned up at light speed and the currency auctions will need to be abruptly stopped like about now (maybe?).

Just food for thought and my :twocents:

In the mean time....................

Go Moola Nova (YEAH, BABY!!!)!!!

:pirateship:
