Lot of other work daily going on behind the scene, that you fail to comprehend...is that all you got... :bulb:

I believe there HAS to of always been work behind the scenes. Here is no way to make the strides "out of the blue" that they do without it.

I have had Abadi's back for a long time...even when a few months (?) after he was in power and nothing was happening. (I do not know how to look back on my posts but it was in the fall one year when there was a lot here that were not fans). Abadi loves his Iraq. We wants everyone to get along and to raise Iraq to prominence again.

If he is able to rid Iraq government of the slimeballs and the "no goodders" he will do amazing things for his country.

Go Abadi...Go in peace and safety

Work one day and take  6 off,  where can I apply

Yup, agree with you Abdul al Boozer (means drinker of camel rum). This 'session' has been going since right after Ramadan. So July 1st through October 30th will be about 120 days. They will have 'meeting' #29 next Monday. So averaging a meeting about every 4 days. So pre-occupied with spanking the Kurds and electoral commission, they can't put in a full days work. Abadi is touting ' One Iraq' and the GOI wants to punish Kurdish members. The banking law has been on the agenda how long now?  You can bet once GOI gets the 2018 budget, they will fidget with it until mid-December, vote to approve, and disband until January (like in years past). Time is running out for substantial laws to make headway. They can barely make a quorum. Never seen a more pathetic bunch of foolishness.

The Council voted by secret ballot on the members of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent High Electoral Commission.

While a secret ballot doesn't sound "transparent" to us, it makes a huge difference in their voting results.  Years ago, I read an article about how "party bosses" watched the public voting of representatives, and met those reps with reprisals if they didn't vote along party lines, as opposed to what they thought might be best for Iraq.  With secret votes, Iraq gets more patriotic voting, as in contrast to sectarian voting.
