Thanks Floridian, there are two sides to every story.

You're welcome, Pitcher.

I'm hanging my hat on this statement from the original article:

"Because the new Iraqi dinar was so popular, the central bank BOUGHT billions of United States dollars to keep it from appreciating too much."

I hope they "bought" those billions of United States dollars with TRILLIONS of dinar, and those trillions of dinar are now in our treasury.

Revalue the dinar, get our country out of debt and build that wall!

Looks like we need another Special Investigation.  If this is true then it just shows the amount of waste and corruption in our own government.  It truly is mind boggling.

Pitcher, we will never find where all that money went. I was in Baghdad fron 2004 - 2009 an what people don’t realize that LOGCAP was the biggest logistical operation in the history of the US. We were trying to mobilize thousands of personnel into Iraq every week.

What the average Joe in the US doesn’t know that there were probably as many US military personnel went to prison as civilians. That was the Wild West where money made everything happen an could buy a lot of usually honest folks.

On a personal note, when the guy was on R&R that made the trip to BIAP (airport) to the duty free for alcohol, I would buy it from a soldier.

A lot of people involved in these crimes have probably died or in hiding someplace where they will never be found...

The money that they need to build the wall is .007% of the budget for the defense for one year. It's not about the money folks, it's about politicizing it for whatever their agenda happens to be. the last government shutdown by Obama that lasted thirteen days has cost this country over 24 billion dollars. This shutdown is over 30 days so far. You do the math. It's all total BS and the only people who lose are taxpaying citizens like you and me. Do we need a border wall and border security? Absolutely. Do we need trump holding the government hostage to get a mere pittance of the value of our defense budget while pointing fingers at the other side absolutely not. I'm so tired of the Redderick, it makes me want to spit. 7/10 of one percent of our defense budget to fund this thing. Think about that for a minute or two. The cause of a mans failure can usually be found in the mirror.

Thanks for all the input. DoD, my son was in Iraq in 2004-2005 and some of the stories he told were like you said, the Wild West.

I agree Mr Unlikely, it’s not about the money, it about embarrassing President Trump and not giving him anything he ran on.  Resistance.

Foridian, I like that last part as well.  I think our politicians have been spending that money for years.

Another document also revealed the issuance of a letter from the Iraqi Ministry of Interior to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the direction of the Iraqi Embassy in the Kingdom of Jordan to confirm the presence of the accused and whether he had previously reviewed the embassy.
The fourth document also included the issuance of a letter from the Iraqi Interior Ministry and addressed to the Head of the Communications Division of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers stating that the accused is wanted by our judicial authority for the crime of intentional damage to state funds and the information we have on your territory. Arrest him so that a file can be sent back through diplomatic channels. The obelisk indicates that the source of the documents is the Sumerian satellite site.
