Member of the Parliamentary Integrity accuses the Commission of selectivity in opening files of corruption

 

 

BAGHDAD (AP) - A member of the Integrity Committee in Parliament, MP Kazem Sayadi, on Monday, May 13, 2019 accused the Integrity Commission of selectivity in opening files of corruption, while calling for an investigation with the Commission and the Investigations Department. 

In an interview with local media, al-Sayadi said, "We demand an investigation with the Integrity Commission and the Investigations Department on the files, the delay and the selectivity in opening corruption files."

He pointed out that the largest looting of state funds took place during the era of former Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki in 2006 2014, explaining that billions of dollars were smuggled abroad, while invested another part of the looted funds inside Iraq.
