Happy Sunday 10-years. Take another shot in your coffee, and revel in the fact (IMO) this ride is almost over. Speaking of lettuce....every time I decide to start a diet, I read the lettuce is bad. Thank god for rum. LOL.

I am reading late December early January for the button to be pushed . . . although it wouldn't be the first time we've seen that roll out.

You might try the Japanese Bullet Train Colon Cleanse Spring Water, Cabbage, Onion, Oatmeal & Dulcolax Diet. I knock back the Dulcolax laxatives with a mug of Scotch.

As for the rest of my day . . . .

Down here in Texas we got jalapenos incorporated into our breakfast and it does make for great movements in the morning should coffee not suffice.  A tad hot some time's but moisture wipes will counter react the heat with some degree of success, at least we don't have to read the newspaper anymore. Deputy for Wisdom: The amnesty included most corrupt and terrorists

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A member of the al-Hakamah movement, Ali al-Badairi, revealed on Tuesday (December 4, 2018) that most politicians involved in major corruption cases were included in the amnesty law.

Al-Badairi said in a statement that the "amnesty law that was enacted last session is a catastrophic law and its application to political considerations and selectivity in the selection of personalities."

He added that "the general amnesty included all politicians involved in major corruption cases after the settlement of their files, as well as included the leader of the organization calling on the terrorist Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, providing that the accused is not included directly and with the presence of witnesses to prove this is not applicable to al-Baghdadi personally."

"The new parliament has to review the law and amend it to prevent corrupt people from passing under the cover of amnesty or even elements of the organization," he said.

Amazing. They SEE it!! They KNOW it!! They probably KNOW who the biggest offenders are!! Yet they let it continue, years and years. Then form a committee to chase stolen money OUTSIDE the country. It's happening daily right under their noses, yet they do nothing. Stupid people.

Because Iraqi's consider stealing a normal part of everyday life. The more they steal, the more important they seem to be. It's a way of life there. Have you seen anyone indicted for theft? No, you won't.

This is why they as a country will not prosper. Saddam Hussein ruled with an iron fist and controlled allot of the theft. They don't have that type of ruler now so it's open season to steal. No other country, including other arab countries don't trust them at all. Iraq cannot be trusted....at all, in anything they do.

markb , incredibly sad but true , it would be slightly different if leaders were making positive changes for the citizens and internationally for iraq but that simply never happens there will always be thieves and crooks in every level of society , it still boggles the mind that not anyone they ever put in leadership has any respectable attributes for change ( accept imo shabibi ) even if it would cost them everything to have those standards , a true picture of weakness continues ..... oh well continuing to watch and wait , cheers dv
