Nouri al Maliki is the prize, yet with so much corrupt information in the public domain, he seems to escape the clutch's of law.

Until he is charged, iraq's judiciary can not be seen as an honest and balanced institution.

Virtually every week his smirking face pops up on one report or another, he has too many powerful people backing and supporting him.

Abadi may of achieved many things, but i fear he and the courts won't have the balls to bring him down without fear of causing instability just when Iraq is finding it's feet again.

I hope i am wrong, but i suspect will will be having the same conversation this time next year.

My opinion is Nouri al-Maliki will be indicted, taken into custody, tried, and prosecuted by the International Criminal Court (ICC). The miscreants listed here are the smaller fish to be fried in Iraq. There could also be one or more others other than Nouri al-Maliki headed to the ICC.  My opinion is the ICC batch will be taken into custody around the same time as the majority of these miscreants among the Jared Kushner list of 785 are taken into custody. Nouri al-Maliki is culpable of Crimes Against Humanity so I suspect this is a matter typically addressed by the ICC and not the country of origin (Iraq in this case).

I don't think there will be much, if any, news before the ICC batch is taken into custody but will be in international and Iraqi news afterward.

Just my opinion and :twocents:

Go Moola Nova!

Go RV sooner than later.... Like next year😄🙏🏼

Would have to agree. We have done more in 1 year than the 15 years I have been in this. Not knowing what all I see required,I would say 2018 is looking pretty darn good for us.

Thank You, Wiljor, for posting this and all the other Great Articles! The Best Of Your Weekend To You! :tiphat:

A little math, $263 per second:

$         15,780 per hour

$       378,720 per day

$    2,651,040 per week

$  11,361,600 per month (30 day month)

$138,232,800 per year

So about 0.1% of the entire Iraqi budget.

But, hey, wiping out any amount of corruption at any level is a Good Thing! :twothumbs:

Especially when all the goodies start pouring in and out of Iraq!
