I'm going to throw out a guess that they will get through reading their Quran verse. Then immediately jump into more bashing of the Kurds, chastising any of them that really have the nerve to show up. Shoes will fly, water bottles launched. That's an aggressive agenda for one day for these lazy fools. Vote on or read 12 laws?? Now if they added a 13th law to vote on more holidays they might actually get through (postpone) the previous 12. Let's see, where did they pack the HCL away ??

Baghdad Mawazine News

Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi began his press conference this week with the condolences of the Iraqi people and Kurds, especially on the death of former Iraqi President Jalal Talabani. He stressed the need for joint administration of the disputed areas under the leadership of Baghdad, stressing that the opinion of the religious authority regarding the referendum was decisive and supportive of the unity of Iraq. That the government decisions that followed that referendum collectively punished the people of Kurdistan.

Abadi said during his weekly conference on Tuesday that the priorities of the government's current work are "to restore all areas that are still under the control of an oppressive organization," warning of "escalation in the disputed areas."

He also warned the regional authorities of the military mobilization in Kirkuk, describing it as "dangerous", again his refusal to "impose control of those areas by force, which must be jointly managed and led by a federal."

"Over the past few days, the cities of Rashad, Abbasi, Zab and East Sharqat have been liberated, as well as the liberation of more than 80 percent of the Hawija and western Kirkuk areas, and operations are going on more than expected," Abadi said.

He pointed out that these operations are taking place with the line of contact with the line of Peshmerga and said, "We have reached the mountains of Hamrin and since the time of the regime did not reach even one of the foreign forces."

"We will not keep the enemy and all of our forces involved in these operations, supporting the citizens and even announcing the great victory in all of Iraq," he said.

"Our security forces registered another success in protecting millions of visitors on the anniversary of the 10th of Muharram and the martyrdom of Imam Hussein A. along thousands of kilometers and in various provinces, especially the holy province of Karbala."

As for the referendum, Abadi said, "Our position is consistent with the rejection of the referendum in full and in violation of the Constitution."

"The alternative is to return to the constitution and cancel the referendum and its results."

He stressed that "the Council of Ministers confirmed the continuation of the procedures voted against the referendum."

He pointed out that "the international position rejects the referendum and the unity of Iraq land and people," pointing at the same time to what he described as "the responsible position of Al-Azhar Sharif with the unity of Iraq and condemnation of the division of Iraq and the referendum."

He stressed the success of Iraqi diplomacy and foreign policy of Baghdad, unlike the bet brothers Kurds.

"The message is to choose Baghdad, not Erbil," he said.

"There are no sanctions against the Kurdish citizens," Abadi said. "Countries have no right to deal with a local authority but with the state. We do not want economic recession and corruption."

He also said that "we are inviting media journalists and expatriates from Arbil to Baghdad airport, even though they do not have entry visas. This was contrary." "This refutes false claims. We are keen on our citizens in Kurdistan and their interests."

He praised the position of the religious authority of Sayyed Sayyid al-Sistani, saying that "it was decisive for the unity of Iraq and rejection of the referendum and the projects of division and separation."

"Humanitarian and military flights continue to support the fighting," he said. "I will not allow the disruption of the movement of our forces."

As for the Peshmerga's participation in the battles, he said: "The region did not participate unfortunately in the liberation of Hawija."

But warned "to mobilize the region forces in Kirkuk and this is a dangerous measure and these areas of the federal authority."

"It must withdraw and return immediately to the pre-liberation of Nineveh," he said.

He stressed that it must be under the leadership of the state will not accept the swallow and the threat of force will not abandon our duty towards Kirkuk.

"We are not with the threat or the escalation," he said. "We reject any military intervention from any country."

Abadi, the former Iraqi president Jalal Talabani, said: "We received with sadness the news of the death of brother former president Jalal Talabani, may Allah have mercy on him."

He also offered condolences to his family, the Iraqi people in general and the Kurdish citizens in particular and our brothers in the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan. He described Talabani as a "hard fighter with a long history of fighting dictatorship and our sincere partner in building a new democratic Iraq."

"In this delicate circumstance, we are in need of moderation and keenness on the unity of Iraq and its consolidation of the Arab Kurdish brothers within one federal Iraq. We always remember to describe the Iraqi people with a variety of Iraqi roses."

He stressed that "the discussion of the budget and renewal of the contract with the US Geological Survey of water and the exception of the establishment of hospitals, including the payment of the term in Basra, Baghdad and Nissan," and "allocate funds to return Baghdad Nineveh in addition to the allocation of funds for the maintenance of electricity and maintenance of dams also."

He pointed out that "the decisions of the federal government is not to punish the citizens of the Kurds, we are keen on our citizens in all Iraqi cities, and unfortunately some Kurdish officials are trying to reverse this, and falsify the facts and promote against the government's actions." The Prime Minister continued: "We have directed the reception of media stranded in the region and facilitate their movement by granting them an internal visa" Visa "to enter and exit Iraq," stressing "the continuation of humanitarian and internal flights with the region, and the internal ports are open."

Baghdad News -

A spokesman for Prime Minister Saad al-Hadithi's media office said on Wednesday that the KRG's recognition of the sovereign federal government's right to control oil revenues and border crossings would secure the salaries of all regional employees, including the Peshmerga.

Al-Hadithi said in a press statement that "I have no information on the issue of securing the salaries of the region, in return for the delivery of oil revenues and border crossings to Baghdad, during the visit of the Kurdish delegation negotiating to the capital and meeting with Prime Minister Haider Abadi."

He added that 'our position on the national wealth is clear and stress the need to return to the public treasury of the country, to take over the federal government to distribute and secure the salaries of all employees throughout Iraq'.

He explained, 'The province stopped the export of oil, for the benefit of the federal government. In contrast, a share of the federal budget has been suspended, amounting to 17%, while the government of Kurdistan distributed the salaries of the staff of the region, but it was later incapacitated, so we say now that the return of oil imports from the fields of Kurdistan and Kirkuk, and border crossings to Baghdad, will facilitate the payment of salaries of employees of Kurdistan on a regular basis '.

He stressed that 'the proceeds obtained from customs, and the export of oil, will be a way to provide a financial cover, the federal government, through which it can secure the salaries of employees of Kurdistan, including Peshmerga'.

He pointed out that 'the census of the employees of Kurdistan, to know their real numbers, at this time, an action premature, we will go into details later', stressing that 'what is done by the federal government is in the interest of the Kurdish citizens, and will not harm them.'
