(Reuters) - Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said on Tuesday he would travel to New York next week to attend meetings of the UN General Assembly.

Abadi said at his weekly press conference, following the cabinet meeting, that he would go to New York next week to attend the UN General Assembly for three days.

"We aspire to meet with the largest number of world leaders to discuss the reconstruction of Iraq," he said.

Abadi also pointed out that "the government stands on great security and economic achievements in its third year," stressing that "the government is reaching strategic results against corruption, and we have established a real and criminal action to fight the corrupt."

This comes at a time when he announced the start of a visit to the United States next week, to participate in the work of the General Assembly of the United Nations in order to gain more international support for Iraq in the files of reconstruction and the fight against terrorism and economic reform, while the governor of Dhi Qar Yahya Naciri for "morning" The prime minister visited the province on Wednesday to discuss the completion of infrastructure projects. 
The Prime Minister reviewed the achievements of the government during the three years of his life. He talked about the success of the security and economic files, as well as the reform measures and the fight against corruption, announcing a plan to liberate the rest of the territories.

A government source said on Tuesday that President Fuad Masum and the Cabinet of Ministers Haider al-Abadi will visit New York soon to attend the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly.

The source told Mawazine News that "President Fuad Masum and the Council of Ministers Haider Abadi will visit New York in the coming days."

He added that "the visit comes for the purpose of attending the meetings of the General Assembly of the United Nations."

Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced on Tuesday that he will head to New York next week to attend meetings of UN General Assembly. 

In his weekly press conference, al-Abadi said that during the meetings of the UN General Assembly, which will last for three days, he aspires to meet as many leaders as possible to discuss the means to reconstruct Iraq.  

Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) MP Masrour Barzani, son of region’s President Masoud Barzani, will head to Washington to convince the US administration to support Kurdistan Region’s independence referendum slated for September 25th. 

In July, it was reported that Mosul’s basic infrastructure will cost more than $1 billion to repair after the US-backed Iraqi offensive to retake the city from ISIS.

Blue skyline, Kurdistan oilers are basically under a lease agreement with the KRG.  KRG pays them for the oil and getting it out of the ground. This is part of the reason they are so undervalued, KRG was behind on payments but now they are settling the debt with these companies.  They just settled with Genel and the stock has more then doubled already.  They are all prime takeover targets by larger companies which is great if you are a shareholder. Western Zagros (WZGRF) was bought out about 3 months ago and I made around a 300 percent return when I sold.
