The Ministry of Planning, Wednesday, that the World Bank will support the SFD activities of $ 50 million in the form of a loan for a period of three years, adding that the provinces covered by the Social Fund for Development program is Muthanna, Salah al-Din and Dohuk.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Planning, Abdul Zahra al-Hindawi said in an interview for "Economy News", "The ministry is working on the preparation of a law on the Social Fund for Development", adding that "the goal of the project is to alleviate poverty and address the humanitarian crisis through the financing of projects own that contribute to the provision of job opportunities for citizens. "
He added that "the World Bank will support the activities of the Fund by $ 50 million in the form of a loan to Iraq for a period of three years and was agreed first applied in the provinces of Muthanna, Salah al-Din and Dohuk, with the support of representatives from civil society organizations and professors of universities and the private sector."
