Iraq is preparing to launch Vision 2030 to develop its economy

Economy News _ Baghdad: The Director of the Office of the Prime Minister, Novell Abu Hassan Barns Friday that Iraq will be put next fall to see "Iraq 2030" to develop its economy in cooperation with international and local expertise.  Hassan said during his speech at the International Alliance Conference in Washington vassal "Economy News", that "on the medium and long term We work with international organizations, experts and specialists for the reconstruction and construction of all Iraq and move investment plans and economic and financial reform and anti-corruption file."  He added that "despite the preoccupation with the war, we continue to work with local and international experience of more than two years to prepare a comprehensive vision for the next decade will offer this fall is the vision of Iraq 2030".   Views 234   Date Added 14/07/2017

That's for sure. One article states plan submitted two days ago to World Bank and this article states start something in the Fall. Sigh, who knows.

Then when nothing happens this fall it will be 1/1/18, then it will be 4/28 etc..

Fall would be good but it's not what the article states in the last line:

 

"He added ..., we continue to work ... to prepare a comprehensive vision for the next decade [and] will offer ... the vision of Iraq 2030".

 

In the Fall Iraq will share with the rest of their world their vision going forth through 2030. Like all good businesses, they have a multi-year plan in which outlines their vision for x number of years and revise it when they need to.Most of the top Fortune 500 businesses will offer their vision to those who ask, In a nutshell, in the Fall, Iraq is doing nothing more than proclaiming what their intended plan will be for in the Economy moving forward through 2030. It will be something to keep an eye on of course. Iraq has a current plan through 2020 and it can be found on the CBI website. This vision will expound upon that. This is good news as their intentions become known, however, all good plans remain fluid and change the further away from the time they were prepared.

How 'bout a conference called "Vision 2017" ?? Never do this year, what you can put off for 13 years. These pathetic fools just love to sit on their hands and BS. The time is NOW, not years down the road. Article 140 and version of the HCL were approved YEARS ago, yet there they sit, inactive. The 40% of the war torn country doesn't want to hear about what they're "gonna do" down the road, much less by 2030. Theres Arab slow and then there's Iraqi slow. I'm still laughing over the article posted a few days back stating how the Iraqis suggested the whole world was amazed how quickly they routed ISIS in just 3 years ? Yeah, think about that for a moment.

It is a misnomer ISIS has been routed from Iraq at this juncture. Sure there may be less than 300 ISIS fighters in Mosul and Mosul declared to be liberated.  There are swaths of land and towns which are still controlled by ISIS even though the narrative is that ISIS fled to Syria. Iraq has faced what Saddam has kept in check through brutal force - in-fighting. It is going to be a long while before Iraqis get rid of the mindset forced into their lives by the rule of strong forceful government telling them what to do. They saw their government as strong because the person holding the whip always appears strong to those who are being hit by said whip. Outside of Iraq, the government reputation was that it was weak and ineffectual. 

 

It took Iraq nine months to liberate Mosul.

Also.....I love how they're now begging for international support for rebuilding. How 'bout Trump bills them for all those military sorties, labor, fuel, bombs, aircraft carriers, maintenance. That's not chump change !!!  And though I respect what Abadi has done, Iraq alone DID NOT run ISIS down. The 30+ countries lending assistance did. Kudos to the Iraq military too. Now keep pushing.

That was a nasty rant ... probably a bad day. I think he nailed his coffin, the stress got to him.
