Badran: Electronic devices prevented manipulation and election fraud

 

 

 

 

The Board of Commissioners of the Electoral Commission for the elections, that electronic voting devices cut the way for manipulation and fraud in the elections. 

Council member Riad Badran said in a statement that 'the measures taken by the Commission have cut the way for attempts to manipulate and fraud by the will of the voter and this is one of the positives of the use of modern electronic devices'. 

The statement added that "the Commission delivered the tape results, which shows the number of ballot papers accepted and rejected as well as pictures of various ballot papers (valid and false and stuffed) to all agents of political parties and electoral alliances.

Baghdad: Al Furat News} A fire broke out inside the stores of the Ministry of Commerce in Baghdad ballot boxes to the Rusafa side in Baghdad.

"The crime of burning the warehouses of the ballot boxes in the Rusafa area is a deliberate act and a planned crime aimed at hiding cases of manipulation and falsification of the votes and deceiving the Iraqi people and changing their will and choice," Jubouri said in a statement. 
"We call for the re-election after it has been proved to be rigged, manipulated and falsified, deliberately and seriously, by the will of the Iraqi people and to prosecute those who contributed to the fraud and vandalism," he said.
He also called on "the security services and the competent authorities in Baghdad to take strict investigative and security measures commensurate with the size of this disgraceful crime, expose its circumstances and expose all those behind it as soon as possible." I also called on the parliamentary security and defense committee and regulatory institutions and the media to follow up the details of this matter. And revealed its details in all transparency and neutrality. " 
According to the deputy chairman of the security committee in the Baghdad Provincial Council Mohammed al-Rubaie, the funds "burned completely," noting that the stores were heavily guarded. 
This comes as preparations are under way for the counting and counting of the votes of about 10 million voters, following the detection of fraud and intimidation of the elections held on 12 May last.

(Baghdad: Al Furat News) Interior Minister Qassem al-Araji confirmed the safety of the ballot boxes after the fire that broke out in the warehouses of the Rusafa side east of Baghdad.

“The verification equipment was burnt in the incident but there are copies of it,” Araji said.

The offices of the Electoral Commission in the Rusafa side were exposed on Sunday to a huge fire while Interior Ministry spokesman Major General Saad Maan said that the warehouses containing the ballot boxes did not burn. “The investigation is ongoing and the experts are waiting to teach us the causes of the fire,” he said.

Under the administration of the judiciary, UNHCR is expected to begin the process of recounting and counting votes after a freeze on the work of UNHCR officials, who face charges of “failing to administer the ballot and complicity in the manipulation.”

In the first reactions to the fire, Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim al-Jubouri described as “deliberate to hide the fraud and manipulation of the election results,” calling for “re-election.”
