British Times: conflict of influence between the United States and Iran in Iraq declined to its lowest level

Conflict of influence between the United States and Iran

Britain's Times newspaper revealed in a report that a conflict of influence between the United States and Iran in Iraq has fallen to its lowest level as it was in the adventures of antique colonial era.

According to the report's author Richard Spencer said the pro-Western forces and Iran are competing for re-construction of roads in western Iraq, with the restoration of the territory of the region Daesh terrorist.

He pointed out that Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi made an offer to a US company to rebuild the highway from Baghdad to the Jordanian border, which connects the main highway to Amman but was opposed by pro-Iranian politicians who reject the continued presence of America in Iraq.

The newspaper said that the militias close to Tehran has established its own way to the northern border and is expected to try to open the road to Damascus through its territory, which extends from the Iranian border near the town of Baquba in the east to the border crossing with Syria or Garas.

The Times: US competition to create an Iranian strategy in western Iraq ways

Euphrates -

British newspaper The Times said that the conflict 's influence in Iraq between the United States and Iran, is one of the 'old colonial - style', of control or the establishment of strategic roads, pointing to the existence of competition between militias loyal to Iran and US forces on strategic roads, particularly in Tal Afar , northwest Iraq.

The British newspaper said in a report Wednesday Nscheraleom and monitoring of the Euphrates news to compete with Western - backed forces on the one hand and the pro-Iran , on the other hand, the re - establishment of roads in western Iraq with the head of land , which was controlled by the organization Daesh restored.

And it signed a contract with an American company Prime Minister Haider al - Abadi to rebuild the highway and president from Baghdad to the Jordanian border and access to the capital Amman. While opposed to this contract , Shiite politicians have ties with Iran, reject the continuation of the US presence in Iraq.

And it established Shiite militias linked to Iran by a special route to the northern border of Iraq. And trying to open the road to Damascus , it starts from the Iranian border through Baquba area leading to the border crossing with Syria in 'or Garas'.

The newspaper pointed out that the contract to rebuild the road, which is awarded to the Olive Group, a security company and logistical US includes the construction of 36 bridges of military operations destroyed many of them, as well as securing land for the construction of places to rest and cafes; to compensate for investment fees and rental costs. Often pass the highway in Anbar province , the Sunni, the Shiites for Shiites and Iranians, and also from the provinces dominated by the organization Daesh previously. There are still sporadic attacks by al - Daesh on Wetlands City

may impede the Shiite militias , which says it opposes the US presence in Iraq, the American company that construction work and construction in the strategic road works, according to the newspaper.

Said Qais al - Khazali, the leader of the militia League of the Righteous, accused of inciting civil war in Iraq and the kidnapping of American and British contractors, in a word to him , 'Why are not Iraqi companies to build the road?'. While a spokesman for 'Alasaib' considered that the security firms 'spying operations for the US intelligence services' in.

The newspaper quoted a certain Kazmi, an official of the Badr Brigade, the largest Shiite militias with ties to Iran , we are opposed to this way; because it would be an excuse for Americans to maintain their military presence.

The strategic objective of the full path, the subject of the dispute, is to connect Iran with the Mediterranean Sea through Iraq and Syria, the protection of the Lebanese militia Hezbollah , the pro-Iranian.

However, Kazmi said that the popular crowd forces are now controlled by the same route used by the organization Daesh for the exchange of supplies and troops between Syria and Iraq. Saying that we are in control in this way, we can ensure its use in trade, adding that the road will re - establish relations with Syria and southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah controls southern Lebanon , the first line of defense in the war with 'Israel', but it is also a vital partner of the President of the Syrian regime of Bashar al - Assad in the suppression of the Syrian revolution.

Says Hisham al - Hashemi, a prominent Iraqi analyst, said that Iran is keen to strengthen its own way at the expense of the road , which is planning the United States.

He said that the international road would harm Iran 's interests, though Tehran is keen to keep the road from Damascus to Baghdad and Tehran open, according to the newspaper.

There is going to be US contractors in Iraq whether Iran likes it or not. Iran, and Iraq Shites will resist American influence for perhaps 2-3 years, and American security forces will continue for several years to prevent any erosion of the established objectives that have been accomplished in Iraq.
